“Regina did a great job taking care of our elder dog and two kittens. It was a huge relief to know that they were all being cared for and loved on while we were away from home. I got pics and updates every day and came home to three very contented and relaxed pets. It was clear they had all been very comfortable with Regina. She left my place perfectly neat, and was easy to communicate with throughout. I would highly recommend her services and will definitely be hiring her again whenever we have need and she is available.”

“Claire is the best! Her caring nature and consistent communication kept me at ease while she housesat and took care of our dog and cat for three weeks. She is active and fun and goes above and beyond. She also was flexible and accommodating when our return flight was cancelled. Bonus: She has a green thumb, so my plants were in better shape when I returned than when I left!”

About: While I'm new to Rover, I have many years of experience caring for my own pets (cats, an elderly dog, and birds) as well as historically being that reliable friend/co-worker who can keep furry friends company while you're out of town. I understand that sometimes your pet may need individualized care to help them manage their anxiety while away from their family, so I'm always attentive to pets' body language for signs of what they need. I work part-time from home which allows me to work around the schedule requirements of each pet I care for. This means I can make playtime, feeding, walking and hangout sessions as long and as frequent as is just-right for your furry companions. My home setting is quiet, which allows me to provide a calming setting for my temporary furry roommates! I'll be able to take your pup out for breaks as often as needed. When visiting your pets at home, I try to recreate the structures, routines, and care you outline to make the times you're away the most stress-free they can be. Reach out for any special care needs or requests!

“Nessa is a gem! She was reliable, trustworthy and my dogs loved her, and I could see in the pictures and videos that I received that my dogs were well cared for and that they were happy. This put all of us at ease. There were many things that I appreciated, but one thing that stands out is that she did not reschedule or switch things around after making appointments to meet. I will definitely use Nessa again if she’s available.”

About: I enjoy outdoor activities, especially walking rather than running, and I love bringing your dog with me on those adventures. Even if zoomies are on the menu, watching ducks is welcome too. With my schedule suddenly wide open after today, pet care has actually become a welcome anchor to my day. Without the structure of work, having a dog creates natural rhythm - morning walks, feeding times, and those afternoon adventures we might not have had time for before. Right now, I'm thinking this could be an opportunity to really focus on my four-legged companion's needs in ways I couldn't when I was tied to a work schedule. Those longer hiking trails I've been wanting to explore, training sessions we've put off, or just more quality time outdoors together - suddenly it's all possible. The daily walks will probably become the backbone of my routine while I figure out what's next. There's something grounding about having a creature depend on you for their exercise and care, especially during a transition like this. It keeps you moving forward, literally and figuratively. I'm curious to see how this change affects our bond too. More time together might mean discovering new trails, new parks, maybe even new activities we both enjoy. It's one of those silver linings - unemployment is stressful, but at least my walking partner is going to get the adventure-filled days they deserve. While dog walking is my main thing, I'm open to overnight stays once we've all gotten comfortable with each other - whether that's having your furry friend come stay at my place or me staying at yours. I really believe in building genuine relationships with both pets and their families. Every dog is different, and I take time to learn their personality, their favorite spots to sniff, whether they're social butterflies or prefer quieter walks. It's so rewarding when you see that moment a dog starts getting excited because they recognize you! For overnight care, trust is everything. I only offer this after we've built that bond through regular walks and both you and your dog feel completely comfortable with me. Some dogs do better in their own space with all their familiar smells and routines, while others love the adventure of a "sleepover" somewhere new. The best part about being newly available is that I can really focus on each dog's needs without rushing. Whether it's a leisurely morning walk, playing in the yard, or just being a calm presence while you're away, I'm here for whatever makes your pup happiest and gives you peace of mind. I always keep you updated with photos and messages so you know your furry family member is having a great time and is in loving hands!

About: I have always taken the task of pet sitting for the pets in my neighborhood. I have recently moved to SF and am missing this connection dearly. I will care for your pets with the up most respect to your expectations and keep them entertained as well! I hope you give me the chance to meet your amazing dogs! I a currently attending school on Mondays and Thursdays but I am available for the rest of the week! I work remotely so I am able to stay with the pets for longer periods of time. I would get myself well acquainted with any crates or backyards that I am going to be accessing in order to ensure a smooth transition for the furry friends. I also can scope out nearby parks and routes that would be the best for the dogs in advance so that we are both safe on our adventures.

“Ellie sat our high-needs golden doodle (Lorenzo) over the weekend and we will have her back very soon! Lorenzo really enjoyed his time with her. She is attentive, communicative, responsive, and considerate. She stayed at our home and left the place better than she found it - thanks Ellie!”

“Linda stayed at our place while my husband and I travelled. She took exceptional care of our pets and home while we were away. Every day we received photos of our pets where they weren't just looking at the camera, but showing their true personalities and comfortability with Linda. We had last minute requests that came up like our dog getting a skin infection that needed medicated wipes applied daily and last minute airline delays. Both occasions she was more than happy to accommodate. If you want peace of mind and a calming presence, I would highly recommend Linda to watch your pets!”

About: I sleep with my own dog, so getting her hair all over my bed and pillows, show how much I love my dog, and pets in general. I work part time and go to school but I am available during different times on different days. I’ll always have the chance to take care of the pet when the time comes to do my job. I walk my dog at least twice a day and feed her twice a day. We go to the park and run around. At my clients home I will treat their home and pet(s) with the utmost care and respect. I come from a family of respect and trust so that will never be an issue.

Lakeshore pet parents share their Rover experiences
Thank you so much for taking care of Murray (the dog) and Alfie (the cat). They clearly enjoyed their time with Daisy, and it was such a relief not to have to worry about them—or the house—while I was away. I really appreciate the care and attention you gave them!

Gurkan took really good care of our dog & cat while we were out of town! I’d highly recommend his services to anyone. Our dog is a bit wary of people, but Gurkan agreed to meet him weeks before the stay and they quickly became friends. He constantly updated us with pictures, so we didn’t have to worry about our pets one bit! He stayed at our house which made the stay for our pets easier and he took really good care of our home while we were gone. We’re definitely going to book his services again.

Seng is absolutely amazing! My cats love her. She spends quality time with them, pays extra attention to the cat sitting notes, and my cats are always so happy and calm when I come home. I never worry about leaving my cats at home while I go on vacation when I know that Seng is cat sitting.

Michelle was incredible with Jackson, I highly recommend working with her. Not only was she so proactive, communicative, caring with Jackson, and reassuring but I could tell Jackson (who usually suffers from separation anxiety) had the best weekend! She frequently took him to the park and dog park and went above and beyond by sharing first hand learnings and tips with me on small/manageable ways to optimize the health of your aging dog.

Emma kept our fur family happy and That’s not easy with 2 dogs (one is blind) and 3 cats that don’t always get along. Our fur family needs special attention and it was obvious each one of them got what they needed. Also, The house was in great shape which is another plus. We highly recommend Emma.

Abigail was a great sitter for our puppy Sully! She did a meet & greet and asked so many good questions. She communicated throughout the entire weekend and was super accommodating to our last minute schedule! We are super happy with Abigail, would recommend her 100%!

Meghan stayed with our very sweet and somewhat complicated elder chihuahua boy while we were away camping. She was very attentive to the details of his care plan, and communicated regularly with us. Our home was in good shape and he was in good spirits when we came back.

Joseph was great for our two furry friends! They both seem very happy and calm with him around. I felt secure with Joseph taking care of them and taking great care of our home. There were no problems with their food or play time. We will definitely be booking him again in the future!

Joe helped us out last minute with dog sitting for our new puppy, Rufus who was basically limited to the kitchen since we had just gotten him a few weeks earlier and was still working on potty training. Joe has a calm demeanor, diligently took notes on everything we told him and was flexible. He didn’t mind basically sitting with Rufus in the kitchen for the hours we were gone and also sent us regular pictures and updates. We would definitely use him again!

Ashley is a true animal lover, she took care of our dog and cat, both of which were very happy and healthy when we returned from our 12 day trip. It was the most calm and normal ive ever seen them after a pet sitting! This made me feel really good about leaving them behind this time. Ashley was communicative and sent lots of cute pictures! She left our house clean and organized which is nice to come home to after vacation!

Savannah is kind, caring, and flexible, simply the best! We are grateful that she accommodated our two cats for about two weeks. She sent us reports and pictures from time to time, and it was perfect timing, too! We recommend her and also want to come back to her.

Always so happy to have Nessa stay with our pups. She is sensitive to the needs of our one anxious dog who won't always eat when we're away. Nessa takes time and goes the extra mile to get her fed. And she keeps the pups occupied with play, walks and lots of cuddles.
