“Amber was lovely and very attentive to Duncan’s needs as a senior dog. She also accommodated a last minute request with less than 24 hours notice. Will definitely be using her again!”

“Jada is the only person I trust to watch my pup. I was very nervous to leave him home as a 13 week old puppy; but I felt so much better knowing that Jada was taking care of him. She was very responsive to all of my requests and communicated with me throughout their walk. I could not recommend more!”

About: I'm an animal lover and bond easily with all pets. I have worked as a dog bather / groomer at a national chain for all breeds and sizes. My experience also include helping a breeder with puppies and mother care. Recently, I pet sat a sick dog whose family had already booked their vacation. I nursed their dog back to health with boiled chicken, nutritional supplements, and gentle comforting. It would be my honor to provide the care your beloved pet(s) need while you're unable to be there. My services includes playing, walking, petting, feeding, grooming and talking to large or small dogs - all cats, any birds! Of course, cleaning, administering medications, and consoling them, will be done with care. Available for extra tasks, such as taking your pet to the veterinarian or groomer. Congratulations on taking the necessary steps to ensure your pet is flourishing. Hope to meet you and your pet soon! I am a new retiree and work part-time for the days and hours I select. I am flexible, and can set my schedule around your pets needs I can come to your home with your specific instructions for maintaining the pets routine and crating requirements. I have reliable transportation for any travel requests.
About: I’ve had pets all my life. From guinea pigs to chihuahuas to pitties. I’ve yet to meet an animal I didn’t like and I don’t plan to ever. I spend time volunteering at the local Humane Society to learn how to better care for animals like yours. I’m a full time student looking to make most of my income here on Rover. I also spend a few hours a week at the Humane Society. I've had animals as long as I've been self-aware. My family dogs include a senior chihuahua and a 7 year old pittie. At home, my family includes two kitties, Moomin (5) and Toro (1), who are both from the Jacksonville Humane Society! They are my pride and joy and I consider them my sons. I work well with all pets. Doesn’t matter if they’re skittish or energetic. Please do not hesitate to let me know the specifics of your pet’s care needs. It is my duty to cater to their personality! Additionally, I will be sure to send lots of pictures to update you while you’re away.
“Mr. Scott is wonderful with our fur baby, Jojo. Jojo always looks forward to his evening walks and is already waiting at the door when Mr.Scott arrives. It’s clear how much he cares, and we appreciate the attention and kindness he shows every time. We’re grateful to have someone so reliable and caring looking after Jojo.”

“Pam is amazing and trustworthy. I used her because I already knew her and knew she was amazing, and was not disappointed. She communicated well, my dog loved her and she made sure my dog, who is a new rescue known for getting loose previously, was safe, secure and well taken care of. 100% recommend Pam. She is respectful, kind and she is calm and confident with dogs. 😊”

“Great 1st experience with Rover. Robyn was very professional , on time, communicated, and was great with my dog. Even played with him for a little bit before putting him back in the kennel. We will definitely be returning!”

About: First time booking on rover? Use my code to save $40! KENDRR12795 Hi there! I’m a lifelong dog lover with over 10 years of hands-on experience caring for pups of all sizes and personalities. My journey started with my first pet, Frenchie, a toy poodle, followed by my family’s German Shepherd, Snoopy, and now I’m the proud dog mom to Jazmine, my adorable mini Dachshund and certified cutie patootie! I’m the go to pet sitter for friends and family, whether that means house sitting so pups can stay comfy in their own home, taking long walks, or hosting playdates to help burn off extra energy. Since I work from home, your fur baby will get plenty of attention throughout the day. Jazmine's and my daily routine includes regular walks, outdoor time to keep up with neighborhood happenings, and a few fun dance breaks (yes, really!). I understand how important consistency and routine are for pets, so I’m happy to follow your dog’s normal schedule to make their stay as stress free as possible. When you book with me, I promise to care for your dog as if they were my own, and I’ll keep you updated with plenty of photos and videos along the way. I can’t wait to meet you and your fur baby! Pet care is already a seamless part of my daily routine. Since I work from home, I’m able to give dogs consistent attention throughout the day rather than limiting care to mornings and evenings. During work hours, pups are typically with me in my home office or relaxing on the veranda, so they’re never left alone for long periods. Weekend care is just as flexible, allowing time for longer walks, playdates, and extra enrichment as needed. My day naturally includes regular walks, outdoor time to explore and stay engaged with the neighborhood, and interactive play (plus a few fun dance breaks!). I’m very mindful of maintaining each dog’s established routine, including feeding schedules, walk times, and any special care instructions, to help them feel comfortable and secure while their owners are away. With a fenced-in yard and a friendly resident pup, dogs in my care get both companionship and a safe space to play. As an avid Rover user myself, I know how important it is to feel comfortable with your sitter and their home. I’d love to set up a meet and greet to make sure it’s a great fit for everyone.
“Erika was great and so reliable during our vacation. John loved his walks with her, and we really appreciated the updates she sent while he was out on his walks. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing he was in such good hands.”

About: I’ve grown up with dogs most of my life and have lived with multiple cat owners as well. I feel like pets like my calm and loving demeanor 😊 I enjoy the flexibility this profession allows and I love the outdoors. If your pet wants a long walk in the sun or just needs to stretch its legs in the backyard I’m down for either! 😁 I feel as though my laid back demeanor is great for working with animals and even the pickiest cats have fallen for me. I’m great at reading the body language of animals and know when they want a belly rub or when they want me to sit six feet away.
About: Hi, my name is Margaret and I would love to take care of your furry friend! I grew up with dogs and cats of all different sizes. I have years of experience with a variety of dogs and their unique personalities. I am a teacher, so my schedule allows me to give a lot of attention to your dog, especially on the weekends and during the summer break. My husband and I own a house in Murray Hill. Our house has a fenced in backyard. There is also a park just a block from our house that is perfect for running around and playing fetch. We have a labradoodle, Olive, who loves playing with other doggos. We also have an indoor/outdoor cat, Lola, that tolerates being around dogs, as most cats do. I am an elementary school teacher so my schedule is fairly flexible during the school year. Evenings, weekends, holidays, and summers offer me plenty of time to check in and be with your furry friends! I have a playful labradoodle that will keep your pup busy and entertained as well as a dog door to a fenced in backyard that keeps them safe and allows for all the potty breaks. The dog door can be closed off if needed.

“Amanda was great with my dog Klaus! She included lots of pictures of him during their walks which gave me a piece of mind while I was at work. I will definitely rebook with her in the future!”

About: I grew up surrounded by animals on my Granny’s farm, so caring for pets has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. In my own home, we had three dogs and four cats, and animals were never just pets, they were family. My mom was a veterinary technician for 15 years, and she regularly brought home injured or recovering animals that needed rehabilitation. Through that experience, I learned how to safely handle pets in all kinds of situations and environments. She passed down extensive hands-on knowledge to me, including how to recognize warning signs, respond calmly in emergencies, and administer medications. I’ve even assisted with IV fluids for a dog when needed. Because of this background, I’m comfortable caring for pets who may need extra patience, medical attention, or routine based care. I bring more experience than the average sitter and take your pet’s safety, comfort, and while still giving them plenty of love, attention, and reassurance I have an open and flexible schedule, so I’m able to give pets plenty of time, attention, and consistency throughout the day. I’m available for early mornings, mid-day visits, evenings, and weekends. I provide care exclusively in my clients’ homes so pets can stay in the environment where they feel safest and most comfortable. I follow your pet’s established routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medications, and any special care instructions. I’m attentive to behavior changes, health needs, and comfort levels, especially for pets who may be anxious, senior, or require medical care. I keep the home clean and secure, ensure doors and gates are properly locked, and respect household rules at all times. I prioritize communication and send regular updates and photos so you can feel confident knowing your pet is well cared for while you’re away

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Lakeshore
Amber goes above and beyond for me and my babies! She takes a million pictures, sends me questions about any concerns, brings in my packages, gives them treats and takes my dog for adventures and lets my cat out to sun on the back porch. She’s the best sitter ever and just super generous with her love and energy.

Vizslas are notoriously aloof and skeptical with new people. Moose is also currently in his angsty tween stage. We had a few previous meetings and greets where he decided he wasn’t a good match with the prospective dog walkers. Jordan arrived on time dressed both professionally and appropriately for a first meeting and walk with a high energy dog. She took the time to introduce herself, meet and bond with Moose, and was very easy to get along with and knowledgeable about not only working dogs but also the Rover program itself. She immediately put both myself and moose at ease. She spent time in the back yard playing fetch with him (he tends to make you feel like you’re an automatic tennis ball thrower) and then took him for a nice walk. She quickly learned his hand signals and Dutch and English voice commands. He was very disappointed to see his new friend go and is looking forward to his next adventure with her- as he has been missing his daily runs with me and now has a new awesome exercise buddy! 10/10 would recommend her to anyone!

I hired Jess to walk my two dogs, and she was wonderful! She even made the effort to come meet them ahead of time when my husband was home, which I really appreciated. The pups took to her right away. She showed up on time for both walks, sent photos, and made sure they had plenty of water afterward. Her communication was excellent throughout the entire process. I would definitely hire her again!
