Information Jordan R. would like to know about your pet

I feel it’s important to know how the dog interacts with new people and dogs in their space and on neutral ground. I like to know what terms the dog knows, like leave it, drop it, stay, etc. I also ask what the dog’s favorite thing is - treats, ball, people food, etc.

A typical day

My favorite thing to do with dogs is walk the 2 mile path in my neighborhood. It is paved and has lots of fun smells, plus friendly dogs to meet along the way. I also love to run with dogs if they have experience with running. In a fenced backyard, I like to play fetch, hide and seek, and tug of war.

Pet care experience

I’ve had all kinds of pets, including dogs, cats, hamsters, and reptiles. I’m grateful for the chance to keep your pets happy while you’re away! My schedule is very flexible. I work from home so I can go to clients’ homes and stay with pets for a couple hours or stop by a few times a day. I’m also available most weekends. I’m unable to care for pets in my home but at clients’ homes I plan to follow all their rules and spend as much time playing outside with dogs and playing inside with other animals as possible.

I had a great experience with this dog sitter and would highly recommend her. She paid close attention to every detail and made sure all of my dogs’ routines and needs were followed perfectly. It was clear that she genuinely cared about them and took the time to make them feel comfortable. My dogs absolutely loved her and were excited to see her each day. Knowing they were in such caring and attentive hands gave me complete peace of mind while I was away.

Vizslas are notoriously aloof and skeptical with new people. Moose is also currently in his angsty tween stage. We had a few previous meetings and greets where he decided he wasn’t a good match with the prospective dog walkers. Jordan arrived on time dressed both professionally and appropriately for a first meeting and walk with a high energy dog. She took the time to introduce herself, meet and bond with Moose, and was very easy to get along with and knowledgeable about not only working dogs but also the Rover program itself. She immediately put both myself and moose at ease. She spent time in the back yard playing fetch with him (he tends to make you feel like you’re an automatic tennis ball thrower) and then took him for a nice walk. She quickly learned his hand signals and Dutch and English voice commands. He was very disappointed to see his new friend go and is looking forward to his next adventure with her- as he has been missing his daily runs with me and now has a new awesome exercise buddy! 10/10 would recommend her to anyone!

Jordan was thrown into a situation of me being out of town for 4 days while my pupper was sick, but she did great keeping me informed and offering to go above and beyond in making sure my dog ate and got her meds. She sent lots of pics, and I did not feel stressed during my trip even under the circumstances, I knew my babies were in good hands - highly recommend Jordan and will be using her for future trips :)

Did not show up to the confirmed booking which resulted in my dog being left alone for over 12 hours
