We live in a large townhouse with a fully fenced backyard, 3 cats who keep mostly to themselves but may befriend gentler dogs and a 6 month old puppy who is generally well behaved and in training. We have no children or other people living in the home. We can create separated spaces if necessary, while still ensuring your furry friend gets the care and attention they deserve, while in a comfortable space for them. Mary is dog and cat CPR/First Aid certified through the American Red Cross. We have experience with animals who have special dietary, medication and medical related needs.

About: I’ve been taking care of animals basically my whole life! Everyone in my family comes to me when they need a pet sitter… It has even extended into helping friends. What sets me apart from other sitters is that I sincerely have a passion for animals and taking care of them. I am consistently dog sitting for my grandmother who has 2 dogs and one of them has a serious condition. So, taking care of her is more involved. It includes giving her medication multiple a days, helping her get up on things and sometimes hand feeding her when she needs a little more help. We had a few previous meetings and greets where he decided he wasn’t a good match with the prospective dog walkers. Jordan arrived on time dressed both professionally and appropriately for a first meeting and walk with a high energy dog. She took the time to introduce herself, meet and bond with Moose, and was very easy to get along with and knowledgeable about not only working dogs but also the Rover program itself. She immediately put both myself and moose at ease. She spent time in the back yard playing fetch with him (he tends to make you feel like you’re an automatic tennis ball thrower) and then took him for a nice walk. She quickly learned his hand signals and Dutch and English voice commands. He was very disappointed to see his new friend go and is looking forward to his next adventure with her- as he has been missing his daily runs with me and now has a new awesome exercise buddy! 10/10 would recommend her to anyone!”

Our house has a fenced in backyard. There is also a park just a block from our house that is perfect for running around and playing fetch. We have a labradoodle, Olive, who loves playing with other doggos. We also have an indoor/outdoor cat, Lola, that tolerates being around dogs, as most cats do. I am an elementary school teacher so my schedule is fairly flexible during the school year. Evenings, weekends, holidays, and summers offer me plenty of time to check in and be with your furry friends! I have a playful labradoodle that will keep your pup busy and entertained as well as a dog door to a fenced in backyard that keeps them safe and allows for all the potty breaks. We have both been pet owners our entire lives and absolutely love caring for other pets as well as our own 3 (G + Sadie + Toby — Chihuahua Mix + Rat Terrier + Jack Russel Terrier). We own a home in Jacksonville just off 295 on the west side with a large fenced-in backyard and quiet neighborhood. So lots of walking, running around and play time if you were to have your pet stay here with us and our 3 pups! Our babies are typically social but at the very least tolerant of other dogs as long as the dog is not too hyper or trying to mess with them. My husband and I both work from home so your baby(s) will get non stop attention. We only board small to medium size dogs (less than 30 pounds, some exceptions - feel free to ask). Your dog(s) must get along with other dogs or at least tolerate them. All dogs are separated at feeding times. We are used to serving regular dry, wet, mixtures, raw foods, and administering medications including injectables. With our flexible schedule, we will have plenty of time to walk, play and/or love your pet(s). Our home is extremely safe and doors are always locked (even when we are home). Our neighbors are all extremely nice. Our dogs typically lay on the couch, in their dog beds in our office or on our bed. All get lots of love, pets and treats every day 🙂
