I adopted my first dog as a "grown-up" named Bailey. She was a mixed lab that I had until she was 14 years old, so I have a lot of experience with senior care. Currently, I have two sweet pups! Maggie is my other girl. She is 8 years old and is a Catahoula hound mix. She can be VERY energetic and loves her walks, so I am used to high-energy pets as well! Our most recent adoption is Dax, our black lab mix! He is a little over one years old. He wandered into our yard as a stray in July, underweight, and needing lots of care. We put up notices to see if we could find his family and put him on a stray hold with ACPS, however no one came to claim him. Due to the overcrowding at the shelter, we decided to foster him until he could find his forever family, but after a few months we loved him too much to let him go so we formally adopted him on September 11th. We recently lost our Bella on March 9th. Bella was 15 years old and had hind-end paralysis and also incontinence due to her condition, which occurred in 2016. Due to her condition, I have many years of experience with special needs dogs, including expressing at potty time, medication, and the intensive care that comes with our special needs pets. I adopted her as a puppy, so I have also had experience with puppy care. She gave us so many years of happiness, and we miss her so much. I also have a separate pet sitter insurance policy through PCI (Pet Care Insurance). This policy will cover your pets and property in case of an emergency or incident while they are in my care. This coverage is in addition to the guarantee provided by Rover!
