“Karen did a wonderful job walking our dogs. We have one very high energy dog that can be difficult to walk until he releases energy and she handled him with such ease! Both of my dogs came back from each walk completely exhausted, it was perfect and exactly what we wanted! Karen was so lovely and we look forward to having her walk our dogs again!”

About: I’ve had all kinds of pets, including dogs, cats, lizards, hamsters, and more. I’m not allowed to have any pets where I live now, so I have endless patience for everyone else’s pets. I miss having animals in my life so I’m grateful for the chance to keep your pets happy while you’re away! My schedule is very flexible. I work from home so I can go to clients’ homes and stay with pets for a couple hours or stop by a few times a day. I’m also available most weekends. I’m unable to care for pets in my home but at clients’ homes I plan to follow all their rules and spend as much time playing outside with dogs and playing inside with other animals as possible.

“Katie was awesome! She came over to meet my dog beforehand and he had three walks with her. I loved her detailed “report card” and getting cute photos of my dog. I feel super comfortable with her taking care of my dog and will be asking for her help again in the near future.”

About: I have never known a world without dogs, and my family has owned at least 2 since the day I was born. I believe it is so important for your dog to get the play time and walks they need for the day! I am a collegiate athlete and training while I’m home for the summer, and working as a part-time nanny! Stopping by to play with and walk your dogs would be the perfect addition to my daily schedule. I am available in the afternoon on Mondays and Wednesdays, after 9am on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and all other days of the week! I have two dogs that I adore and walk every day. They don’t play as much in their older age, but love to be loved on.

I am a nurse taking some time off, and a frequent ASPCA volunteer and foster mom. I have experience caring dogs from senior Shih tzus to energetic three-tear old huskies. Big or small, I love them all! I am currently working from home with a very flexible scheule, so I have plenty of time to care for your fur baby. We have a spare bedroom and a home with a large backyard, so we can take care of your pet’s needs easily. I live in a three bedroom house with two cats that are good about keeping to themselves. We have a spare bedroom I frequently use for fosters. For me, checking on other’s pets usually includes feeding, watering, play time, and litter box cleaning. My partner works out of town, so I will be the only person providing care to your pets.

I am work from home, so I have a very flexible schedule for walks, feedings or visits to your home throughout the morning, day or evenings. About: Hi! My name is Katie. I am an emergency veterinary technician and have worked in animal welfare for the past ten years. I started working with animals in a boarding and day care facility, where I facilitated group and individual play times, and sent daily photographs and updates to pet owners. From there, I went on to work at my local humane society as a veterinary technician for two years, where I gained extensive experience working with cats and dogs with special medical and behavioral needs. For the past six years, I have been a veterinary technician at local speciality and emergency clinics, where I am constantly learning new things and using my experience to give my patients the best care possible. I am very comfortable interpreting animal behavior and assessing immediate medical concerns, and will take the time to be patient and understanding with your animals. I am comfortable administering medication, expressing bladders, preparing special diets, trimming nails, and so on. I am also trained and experienced in animal CPR. I will happily send frequent updates and photographs, whether it is just for a walk or an overnight stay, and will always be mindful to respect your pet's boundaries and make them as comfortable and stress-free as possible. I am currently only working part time on the weekends during the day, so I have open availability during the weekdays/nights to discuss further, and can work with availability outside of my working hours Sat-Sun if needed. While I don’t offer dog sitting in my own home, I do everything I can to provide calm, compassionate care in your home environment. I make it a point to follow your routines closely to reduce stress and keep your cat or dog feeling safe and secure. I always approach animals gently and with patience, especially those who are shy or have medical needs.

“Awesome! Thank you so much. Great service.”

About: As long as I can remember, I have had a pet or helped care for others' pets. I have worked as a foster pet parent for two nonprofits. I currently work weekdays with a very flexible schedule. My partner is finishing school with online classes and is home throughout the day most days. Each morning the first thing we do is check on our pets and pets in our care. I love starting their day with exercise if they're up for it with fetch, chase, or a walk. My dog is fed twice a day and kept in a separate area from our rescue cat who mostly stays in my daughters room. I am exceptionally skilled at socializing animals and helping them stay comfortable, which can mean sectioning off areas of the home for different pet friends if needed. If it's a cat you need watched, I love getting cats feeling comfortable by being patient and using toys or treats that you approve of to help bring out their inner kitten. I have a fenced yard for dogs to use, including toys, dirt to dig in with no guilt, and an extra large water dish. We never lock dogs outside and they have easy access back inside whenever they want. I collect leashes for long walks and love the kind of bonding I can get with a one on one walk. If your pet needs extra exercise, I have you covered! The highlight of my day is walking my dogs or dogs in my care. I work together with my partner to make sure someone is always home with pets. My schedule changes, but I will only show availability for boarding if someone will be home at all times. We like dogs to feel at home, so we set up the house and yard to be safe for pets. I am mostly doing reading or computer work at home, and many guest dogs simply snuggle on my lap or next to me while I work, being well worn out from walks or yard time. I love walking dogs but I know some dogs prefer off leash yard time. I really try to get to know your pets and what makes them happiest.

About: I've watched, walked and cared for numerous dogs and cats belonging to friends, relatives and neighbors throughout the years. I've volunteered with the Humane Society walking dogs of all breads large and small, young and old. I have experience walking some special needs dogs, even walking a few deaf dogs. Working with the Humane Society provided training above and beyond just checking on others pets. I'm happiest when around animals and feel at peace with them. I will love your pets as if they were my own. I currently have a Chihuahua and a maine coon mix cat both of which are rescues. I grew up always having a cat or a dog and sometimes both. All of my pets have either been rescues I've personally helped to rescue or I have adopted from a shelter. Your home and fur babies will be in caring hands. I will send you daily pictures and updates to ease your mind. I love to get pictures of my fur babies when I'm away and I'm sure you would appreciate that as well. I work Full time and am off on the weekends and Mondays. I'm comfortable taking on a few walks and or home check-ins during my days off. I can also do a home check-in Tues-Friday after 3pm. I will not do late night walks for your pets safety as well as mine. I'm a very trustworthy and responsible individual who loves animals. Your pets security and trust is of the upmost importance to me. I will bring treats and water for dogs during their sniff Safari walks. For home check-ins I will feed, water, entertain and offer lots of love. I will follow any instructions given and am comfortable administering most medications your dog or cat may need. I will also scoop or clean a litter box if needed and pickup any potty mess in the yard when taking your dog out.

“Thanks so much maverick had so much fun you did a great job”

About: Hi there! My name is Kate and my husband's name is Josh. We have both been pet owners our entire lives and absolutely love caring for other pets as well as our own 3 (G + Sadie + Toby — Chihuahua Mix + Rat Terrier + Jack Russel Terrier). We own a home in Jacksonville just off 295 on the west side with a large fenced-in backyard and quiet neighborhood. So lots of walking, running around and play time if you were to have your pet stay here with us and our 3 pups! Our babies are typically social but at the very least tolerant of other dogs as long as the dog is not too hyper or trying to mess with them. My husband and I both work from home so your baby(s) will get non stop attention. We only board small to medium size dogs (less than 30 pounds, some exceptions - feel free to ask). Your dog(s) must get along with other dogs or at least tolerate them. All dogs are separated at feeding times. We are used to serving regular dry, wet, mixtures, raw foods, and administering medications including injectables. With our flexible schedule, we will have plenty of time to walk, play and/or love your pet(s). Our home is extremely safe and doors are always locked (even when we are home). Our neighbors are all extremely nice. Our dogs typically lay on the couch, in their dog beds in our office or on our bed. All get lots of love, pets and treats every day 🙂

“So happy to have found Ashley for our two doggos! She’s incredibly kind and our shy pups warmed up to her quickly. On time and very communicative. My husband and I highly recommend her services.”

“Erika has watched my cats twice now. She's very professional and competent and has a vet tech license! We met prior to my travel, reviewed my needs and got to know each other more. She's worked for my mobile vet as her tech which is how I first found out about her. My vet said she was the best tech she's ever had! We worked out the schedule when I had to travel that accommodated both of our needs. My one cat is diabetic and she administered his daily shots. There were never any untoward incidences at my home during my absence and I felt totally comfortable having her in my home. I would recommend Erika to anyone with a need for pet care!”

7. Pamela M.

“Pam loves all animals but she really loves dogs. She has seven or eight of her own she also fosters dogs until they find there fur ever homes. Pam also worked at a vet's office for 18 years and was always requested by clients to take care of their dogs. My Mom was in the hospital at Mayo and when one of her clients found out Pam was upstairs the lady brought her dog for Pam to give it some kisses. I couldn't think of anyone I would rather take care of my dogs but Pam. Sheryl Z”

“Alaina is truly heaven-sent! She didn’t just care for one of our beloved pups—she lovingly cared for two. We trusted her completely with full access to our home and garage, and she proved time and again that our trust was well-placed. Not only did my husband and I deeply appreciate her, but our dogs absolutely adored her. They were always thrilled to see her, and she followed every care instruction perfectly. Alaina went above and beyond, sending us regular updates, adorable photos, and funny videos that made us smile and reassured us that they were in the best hands. Now that both of our sweet fur babies have crossed the rainbow bridge, our home feels a little quieter. But when the time comes and our family grows again, there's no question—Alaina will be the first person we call to care for our new pups. She’s not just a pet sitter; she’s part of our extended family.”
