About: One of my first jobs was working in a vet clinic where I was responsible for walking, feeding, and cleaning up after dogs of all breeds, sizes, ages, and temperaments. I have spent a lot of time over the years providing care in the form of walks, overnight stays, medications, and more. I have also provided lots of cat care and am happy to feed and play with them as well as scoop litter boxes. I am a fifth grade teacher currently on summer break, so I have lots of availability throughout the next couple of months! My June mornings will be spent working summer school, but I am available from 12:30 pm on. In July, I will be wide open! I pay close attention to directions from owners. Want your dog to stay out of certain rooms? You got it! Need me to keep an eye on your pup’s sore paw? No problem! I typically err on the side of caution and don’t allow anything that doesn’t feel right. I also communicate with owners about any questions or concerns I have while watching pets.
“My two most loved kitties (four months old) got the opportunity to stay with Michaela and her family for a week. Their stay was perfect, a home-away-from-home. Michaela had a large area, a bedroom and bathroom, set up for them to stay before being introduced to the rest of the pets. We supplied the food, cat litter, and some toys. Michaela had toys as well. Michaela sent plenty of photos every day. Photos of the family interacting with them, photos of the kitties playing, eating, and sleeping. Before we left for our trip, I was worried about our babies, but I shouldn't have. The little guys appeared to really like their stay. So for future trips, we will definitely be calling on Michaela.”
About: I have had dogs in our home forever and we just lost our beloved Wheaten Terrier. I have added a 5 year old rescue Doodle to our family. She’s so sweet and loves little dogs. My kids are grown and I am learning how to be an empty nester. I work from my home office and your pet will be my co-worker when they stay with me. We go for long walks, car rides, and get all the head pats! I will love keeping your pet while you are away and we will have lots of fun time together! I have a flexible schedule and work from home! I love to walk and have a four legged companion on the trails with me! My doodle shares her bed and blankets! I have a big yard and plenty of room inside as well! Pets are allowed on furniture and beds in our home! Our house is on the public park / trail system and we love to take daily walks. I can crate your dog to their comfort level and they will never be alone for more than 3-4 hours if they are boarding with me. I like to take dogs everywhere I go, so bring me all your social pups!

(Comfortable with all ages of dogs/cats including seniors) I currently work for my dad in Lenexa, so I have a semi-flexible schedule. I know how important quality time is to animals so I always adjust to their needs and make sure they're properly fed, watered, loved, and medicated (if needed) All pets are different. I like to follow owners instructions to a tee, and on top of that it doesn't take long for me to get to know an animals baselines behaviors so I can adjust to whatever that animal needs the most. Some just like to have someone there with them, some may want to be pet for 24 hours, some may like to play, some may just like to lounge, etc. My cat's name is Zuko, and she is somewhere in between all that!
