About: I am a lifelong animal lover with years of hands-on dog care experience. From house sitting to pet sitting for various breeds, I have the skills and open availability to give your dogs the long, attentive walks they deserve. I currently I’m only working part-time so I have lots of time to play with and pamper your pups! I love being active and going on walks so that’s already a big part of my routine that I would love to bring your furry friend along for. I have a fenced off, enclosed backyard that your dog will be safe in and I live in a nice neighborhood that I could walk your dog in.
About: I love dogs and dream about getting my own. I’ve pet-sat for families since I was 10 and grew up with my two Goldendoodles, who I absolutely adore and consider my babies, named Olive and Cedar! I’m comfortable with daily walks, playtime, feeding routines, medications, and making sure pets feel safe, loved, and cared for while their owners are away. I naturally connect with animals and treat every pet like they’re my own. I’m reliable, attentive, and love being active with dogs—whether that’s going on walks, giving them attention, or just making sure they feel comfortable and happy. I currently work 1–2 days per week at the hospital as a pediatric oncology CNA, which gives me a flexible schedule and plenty of time to dedicate to pet care. On my days off, I’m available for dog walks, drop-in visits, and overnight stays. I’m able to be consistent with routines like feeding, walks, and playtime, and I enjoy spending my free time being active and caring for animals. My schedule allows me to be reliable and fully present when I’m caring for pets. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I prioritize keeping their routine as consistent and comfortable as possible. I follow all instructions closely, including feeding schedules, walk times, medication needs if applicable, and any specific care preferences the owner has. I make sure pets get plenty of attention, playtime, and exercise, especially walks for dogs to help them stay happy and calm while their owners are away. I also focus on creating a safe, clean environment and making sure pets feel secure and not stressed in their owner’s absence.

About: I have experience caring for both pets and homes, helping friends, family, and neighbors with pet sitting, house sitting, and daily check ins. I handle feeding, walking, and playtime. I also can clean and keep homes tidy, water plants, and make sure everything stays secure while you’re away. I’m responsible, trustworthy, and committed to giving you peace of mind. I just graduated college and I’m currently working a part time remote job. So my schedule is very open and available! I love being active and spending time with fur babies I care for pets in their home by sticking to their routine like feeding, walks, playtime, and attention, while keeping the home clean, safe, and secure.
“Dolly loves Sofia and enjoys her time with her. Sofia is patient, as Dolly is just learning to walk on a leash and often is distracted. Communication is excellent. Look forward to a long relationship for Dolly and her walker!”

“Our two small dogs look forward to their walks with Alex. He is both professional and kind, which puts our minds at ease. When Alex returns the dogs home, they are happy and tired.”
About: I grew up around both large and small dogs, taking them for walks and giving them lots of loves. In high-school we transitioned to cats and I eventually got two of my own. Both long and short hair for both animals, so I know the importance of brushing. I work mainly from home full-time. I give myself and pets regular breaks and plays. Other than that, I normally stay at home and know how to occupy myself and pets well. I am a programmer, and therefore, good at following instructions to the letter (x). I also understand the importance of health & safety restrictions and care, as I have been able to identify & get help for health issues for my own fur babies in time. Afterwards, keeping to medicine and routines is vital for the health of any pet. As is maintaining calm in situations.

About: I have been around dogs ever since I was born, having two of my own. I have pet sit for family and friends before. I potty-trained my own dog as a puppy at the age of eight, as well as tricks like sitting and staying. I’m also quite fond of cats and have had less experience with them, but am more than happy to provide cat care. Monday-Friday I have football practice from 3-7, so anytime before or after I am free. I am currently working on freeing up my Saturdays and Sundays, so hours will change. If I am in your home I will be sure to respect your privacy and will only access what you as an owner want me to be around. My only focus will be your pet and making sure they receive what you have requested.

About: Hello! My name is Layla and I am currently a full-time college student with extra time on my hands, my schedule can be extremely flexible on the days that I am available. I feel being a pet sitter suits me because a. I love animals, b. I’m very attentive and organized, and c. Earning a wage by hanging out/taking care of your fur babies sounds like a dream! I currently have two big dogs and one cat that I care for almost every day. I take the dogs for walks, play fetch with them, and take them out to go potty. I love spoiling my cat with new stimulating toys, cat trees, and lots of cuddles 🥰 I’m currently a full-time student with some spare time, a part-time job seems too much for me to handle while also engaging in school. I adore animals and it would be amazing to earn money while spending time and caring for them 🥲 A list offered of how you want me to care for your pet is preferred. I understand pets can have different quirks and I’m totally adaptable to anything that’s thrown at me. I love animals and their unique personalities! I’d like to follow your routine to care for your animal, just like you never left!

About: I previously worked as a handler for a trained detection dog, where I spent every day building a strong, trusting bond with her through care, patience, and consistent training. We worked together in different environments, which taught me how important it is to keep dogs feeling safe, comfortable, and understood no matter where they are. That experience really shaped how I care for pets which is with lots of attention, responsibility, and genuine love. I’m currently working part time and am a college student but am flexible and can work evenings on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays providing walking or drop ins! I care for pets like my own, following their usual routines for feeding, walks, and playtime. I make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved, while keeping your home clean and respected. I also send regular updates so you feel at ease.
About: I am 25 years old and I love animals! I have never been a pet sitter, but all my life I have been around animals. They are one of the best things in the world. They deserve the most we can give them and when you’re not there, I can provide that. Animals are very important in my life I’m sure its the same for you. Thank you!
About: I've took care of my 2 little dogs for over 15 years. One is Teacup Chihuahua (female) and Terrier/Chihuahua (male). I love animals since I was little and I can take care of animals like mine own. I have a full time job on weekday as tire store manager but off on the weekend and like to enjoy my weekends with fun activities. We have house with large backyard with lots of trees and the gates are always locked. So you don't have to worry about animals getting out of the house.
About: Hi there! I have 6+ years of experience caring for dogs of all breeds and ages, providing walking, feeding, bathing, and more. My home is extremely pet-friendly as I have a 6 year mini doodle (Benzi!) that loves to socialize with other pets (if yours permits). He has a slight favoritism for dogs bigger than him but he welcomes all friends. I've had Benzi since 2020 and trained him myself as we were locked in quarantine together. Make a circle with your arms and say "Circus!" to Benzi, and he'll jump through your hoop hands (it's his party trick). I've cared for my friends and family's dogs (and one cat) as they were on long periods of break or holidays. He is up-to-date on all vaccines including Canine Covid and Canine Influenza. I walk Benzi twice a day, in the morning from 8-9:30am to the evening 7pm - 8:30pm. I take him out to pee/poo additional around 2-3:30p. I feed Benzi after each walk. Since I WFH, during my own breaks, Benzi and I play around and I ensure he gets stimulated and tired from play. If he doesn’t want to play and wants to sleep, I respect that. Benzi meets other dogs in the neighborhood and plays with them, as well as greeting neighbors. I ensure that the home I own is pet-friendly. Everything is non-toxic for animals — plants, cleaners, etc. I do not have a yard or a fence, but I live on the third floor of a gated community that is extremely animal friendly and has other dogs living here.
About: I’ve taken care of all kinds of pets over the years. Even pets who are sick or aging. Never been without a cat or dog in my life and I can’t imagine a life without them. In addition to being a pet owner myself. I have often helped my neighbors and close family with their pets. With things such as walking, feeding, cleaning, and playing. As well as staying over night when needed. My regular job is on summer break because I work for a school district. So I have a lot of availability to help with your pet this summer! My pets get fed before I eat because I can’t stand seeing them be hungry while I eat my breakfast. Then, I will take my dog on a walk early morning and have playtime before my shift at work. My shifts are short so they stay inside while I’m at work. And another member of my household is home sooner to let them out.

“Cristina is so friendly and extremely knowledgeable about dogs and I loved talking to her after my puppy’s walk. She is truly a professional. She helped me out so much by walking my puppy. I can’t wait to work with her again :)”

“Very gracious and professional, Nancy and my Terrier clicked nicely—grateful to have had this option to boarding my dog in my absence! Thank you Rover and Nancy G. Richard Cisneros”

About: Trained my own dog to walk properly on a leash with patience and consistency • Experienced handling dogs with different personalities and energy levels • Comfortable with feeding, playtime, and giving pets attention and affection • Patient and attentive with shy, nervous, or high-energy dogs I am currently working part-time and going to school full-time. Pet walking fits perfectly with my schedule, plus to hang out and walk animals doesn’t feel like a job to me since I love animals. Even though my cat is mainly outside, my two dogs are surrounded by a fence. So if needed, I can create your fur baby to the destination of walking.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - La Mirada
Aviana arrived right on time and was very communicative throughout the entire process. This was my first time using the service, and it was extremely last minute, but she was still able to accommodate me and kept me updated in a timely manner, which I really appreciated. My dog was very excited to meet her and clearly enjoyed his 60-minute walk—he came back happy and tired, which says it all! I would definitely recommend Aviana and will absolutely be using her services again.

Eric arrived to our house on time and ready to take our little fur babies on their walk. He was very gentle and caring as he put on their leashes and got them excited for their walk. Upon his return he shared photos that he took of them on their little excursion!!! We will definitely call him again to come back for their daily walks, check ins and dog sitting when we are away!!!!! He was pleasure to work with from the beginning to end!! Thank you Eric!!!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
