“It was our first time booking Koa for a walk, and Ness was super patient with him. He got a bit spooked but Ness did not give up. She waited patiently and was very sweet to our boy. Communication was 10/10. We’re very grateful to have found Ness. See you next time! 🐶”

“Hannah is so pleasant and kind! My dog is usually on guard when there’s someone he hasn’t met at the door, but he was excited and immediately gravitated towards Hannah, tail wagging and everything! She did very well with my 80 lb baby and would definitely schedule walks with her again!”

About: Owning two dogs who are both 10, I’ve had lots of hands on experience taking care of dogs of any age. I have experience with walks, feeding schedules, playtime, and most importantly I want every dog I take care of to feel loved! I’m currently not working, so I have plenty of time to take care of your puppies! I’m available most weekdays and weekends, so I have a super flexible schedule. I always prioritize each pet’s safety, comfort, and routine while caring for them in their own home. I’ll follow your instructions for feeding, walks, playtime, and any house rules to help keep your pet’s routine as consistent as possible. I’ll make sure doors, gates, and leashes are secure, keep the home clean and tidy, and provide plenty of attention, exercise, and affection. I understand that every pet has different needs, and I’ll treat your home and your pets with the same care and respect as I would my own.
About: I provide private, one family at a time dog care in a calm, clean, and structured home environment. I am home full time, so your dog receives consistent supervision, a predictable routine, and truly individualized attention. This is not a high volume setting. Your dog is never rotated between multiple households or unfamiliar pets. Your dog is treated like a family member, not a booking slot. Because I care for only one family at a time, each stay is quiet, low stress, and thoughtfully managed. This approach is ideal for dogs who thrive on consistency, including seniors, sensitive personalities, or those who prefer a more relaxed environment. My home is clean, secure, and intentionally set up for comfort and structure. Days include walks, enrichment, and plenty of downtime. Dogs can sleep in their usual setup or nearby, depending on what helps them feel most at ease. I stay attentive and adjust care throughout the day to match each dog’s needs. I offer boarding, house sitting, drop ins, and dog walking throughout Los Angeles and Orange County. I’m always happy to answer questions or arrange a meet and greet to ensure the right fit. I maintain a flexible, home-centered schedule and structure my days around the pets in my care. This allows me to be present, responsive, and consistent throughout the day. I follow routines closely, communicate clearly, and pay careful attention to each pet’s comfort and safety. I accept only one family at a time and maintain a clean, secure environment. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I’m respectful of the space, follow house rules, and keep everything clean and tidy.
About: I've spent my life enjoying taking care of dogs and a large variety of animals. I've always been known as an animal person for how much attention and care I provide animals! As of now, I am not working any other jobs and should be available at any times of the day. I should be getting a job somewhat soon unless I find joy out of taking care of these pets! I will follow any and all instructions that the owner of the pets will provide. Ensuring the safety and care for your pets as needed!
“Natalie is great! Communicates efficiently. Takes the time to make sure our pup is comfortable before and after her walks. Our pup looks forward to her routine walks each and every time.”

About: I started having a genuine love for all animals after I got my two puppies Simba and Solomon. They are four year old energetic, lovable golden retrievers, so I have experience handling medium-large sized dogs. I’m also the designated dog walker for when my cousins decide to go on vacations and leave their dogs behind. I am currently a full time construction project manager. This gives me a flexible schedule to check in on dogs throughout the day as needed. I don’t have a set start or end time for work so it’s very helpful to adjust to different schedules for each dog. I have two golden retrievers who mainly stay in the backyard but also are brought in the house sometimes. They are trained to stay off the furniture and places that we want to keep clean like my kitchen and bedrooms. They know by the tone of my voice of when I’m playing around with them versus when they need to listen to my instructions. I’ve done the same thing for the dogs I’ve watched and even though they’re not as familiar with me, they seem to listen to what I tell them to do.

About: Hello everyone! I’m an enthusiastic amateur photographer with a serious passion for capturing the unique personalities of dogs, cats, and all kinds of pets. I’m actively working to expand my pet photography portfolio and would love to create beautiful, heartfelt images of your furry family members. Whether it’s playful action shots in the park, cozy in-home portraits, or candid moments during a walk or playtime, I bring patience, treats, and a camera everywhere I go. I’m still building my collection, so I’m happy to offer very affordable (or even complimentary) photography sessions when you book me for dog walking, pet sitting, drop-ins, or overnight stays. I’m gentle, reliable, and genuinely love animals — your pets will be happy and relaxed while I snap some amazing shots you’ll treasure. From goofy zoomies to sweet sleepy cuddles, I aim to freeze those special moments in time. If you’re open to a sitter who also doubles as a pet photographer, let’s team up! Message me to chat about your pet’s personality and what kind of photos you’d love. Can’t wait to meet your four-legged friends and add more adorable images to my growing portfolio! 📸🐶🐱 I'm a retired veteran who has a lot of free time on his hands. I fostered animals while serving in the military and wanted to get back into caring for animals Always flexible with animals and the level of care/attention they require. More than willing to be out and about for a while or stay in because they're home bodies
About: What sets me apart from other sitters is that I treat every pet as if they were my own while also focusing on building a real bond and understanding their individual personality. I don’t just provide basic care—I take the time to earn their trust so they feel safe, comfortable, and genuinely cared for while you’re away. I’m also very comfortable with senior pets who may need a slower pace, extra patience, medication reminders, gentle walks, and a calm, reassuring presence. I am also happy to reinforce basic training, provide mental stimulation through play and enrichment activities, and accommodate senior pets who may need extra patience and gentle care. I am not here to just take care of your pet while you’re away I’m here to treat it as my own and that requires real bonding and giving it so much love that I would want for my own fur baby . I’m currently not working as why I decided to look into something I love doing. My dream has always been to work with animals as I grew up drawing horses, dogs, and cats ! I always knew it is something I aspired to be around :) I have a dog of my own he is 8 years very friendly but can ask for his own space as he is older although he is obsessed with tiny dog haha! My fur baby is potty trained and does not use a crate. He can be wherever he likes wether it’s the couch the bed or the floor if he prefers. if u crate train your pup I can work with that for you. Caring for a pet in your home I will do as u please me to. If you have a specific routine for your pets I am willing to do whatever it takes to make u feel satisfied and happy that your pet is being cared for in the comfort of your own home ! <3
“Lissi is very conscious and my dog warmed up to her immediately because of her friendly manner. She takes my dog on interesting walks and definitely gives her a good work out. I would highly recommend Lissi as wonderful dog walker.”

About: I’ve had a dog before and I started loving all kinds of animals since I was little. I also have some fish (most were goldfish, and right now I have a Betta fish), a rabbit, etc. I am pretty much free except for when there is a home nhl (hockey) game I love them so much that I’m currently in school to become a veterinarian. Your pet or loved one will be in safe hands with me. I will also do my best in making your love one feel comfortable and loved when your at work or on vacation and can not bring them with you. If you have a very active pet it is fine with me and if you do not that’s fine with me too. I currently work part time and during my down time I would love to broaden my career with my veterinarian degree and passion for them. I will always make sure they are secure and safe before any walks. If I see any other fur buddies coming our way during our adventurous walks I will cross the street (when safe) to make sure everyone is comfortable. Your fur buddy will have tons of belly rubs, lots of play times multiple walks and potty breaks throughout the day. Also if okay they will also get positive reinforcement with treats.

Brandon was wonderful with our dogs. He was compassionate, attentive, and it was clear that he truly cared about them and their well-being. We felt very comfortable having him take care of them, and everything went smoothly. I would definitely use Brandon again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a caring and reliable dog walker.

Such a great experience! She took wonderful care of my pups and kept me updated with photos and messages, which I loved. Her communication was excellent and it gave me so much peace of mind. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring dog walker!

Selena did a wonderful job walking Zeus. Even though he’s a sweet boy, he can be a lot around people at first but he immediately liked Selena. He can also be reactive to other dogs, but she managed him calmly and confidently. It was their first time together, and she handled him with ease. She’s also very communicative and detail oriented, so I wasn’t worried about him eating something bad on the walk or getting loose.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
