“Having used other good ROVER sitters before, Maritza tops them all. Lots of pictures, potty breaks, playing with other dogs, etc. He always has a great night’s sleep after spending the day at Maritza‘s.”

“It was our first time leaving our Frenchie and Sue made it easy to do so! She sent me updates throughout the day to let us know how he was doing and what he was up to! Would def recommend Sue! 😊”
“Infinity watched my two girls, Tundra and Delta (German shepherd and Doberman mix) while we were gone for the day at an amusement park and I couldn’t have chosen a better person to do so! She was so communicative, took photos of them during their walks and naps lol, and made sure they were comfortable. I’ll definitely be booking again when we need a sitter! Thank you so much!!”

“I’m so grateful I found Ximena. I was nervous about leaving my fur baby with someone new, but we did a meet and greet beforehand, which immediately put me at ease. I also had the chance to meet Ximena’s husband, and they are both incredibly caring and kind. They took such great care of my baby and kept me updated throughout the day with frequent pictures and videos. If you’re looking for someone trustworthy and loving to care for your fur baby, look no further than Ximena and her family (:”

“Vinny and Reese had a great time at Danielle’s with her sweet pup. Reese is about 6 months and weighs 11 lbs and Vinny is 28 lbs and they all did great together. Danielle was very responsive which I appreciate!!”

About: I've taken care of many dogs/cats over my lifetime! I love playing fetch, going on walks, and bringing out the best and quirky parts of their personality by getting to know them well <3 I work from home, so I am flexible with times/dates/working on the weekdays. I am a morning person, so am able to work early mornings if needed! I live next to a huge park and have a big car to take them there. I have a bernedoodle pup at home to keep them company, if desired. We have a large crate if crate is requested/necessary.
About: As a family, we have been taking care of dogs and cats since our kids were young. Our own beagle, my child's cat, family and friends' dogs and cats have all become an important part of our lives. Our beloved beagle passed away last December. We really miss the constant presence of a fur baby in our now empty house. We welcome your fur babies into our house and will take great care of them like our own! We work from home and have time during the day to care for the needs of your pets. We will feed, play and walk your pets as instructed by the owners. We have a large backyard with high block walls around all sides to provide a completely isolated and safe play area. Large glass area for dogs to roam around and sunbathe. Doggie door is available for small to medium dogs to freely go into the house or out to the backyard if preferred.
“We have a shy puppy named Serena that we are always very confident in leaving with Lisa. She always has lots of friends to play with and it is so nice that Lisa sends us periodic little videos throughout Serena’s stay. Wouldn’t use anyone else.”

“I had been searching for a daycare service I could truly trust with my baby for a long time. My dog has pretty severe separation anxiety, but even after Steven and Kim-Anh learned about it, they were very understanding and happy to take care of Mahur. She is usually very cautious around new people, but she seemed to feel safe and comfortable in their home. Both Steven and Kim are very passionate about training, and they spent a lot of time playing with and caring for Mahur. I finally feel relieved knowing that I’ve found a daycare I can trust completely. I would absolutely love to continue bringing her here in the future.”

“Zoë had such a great time with Sabrina. The communication and pictures during the day helped me to know that my puppy was well-cared for. I would definitely use Sabrina for doggie daycare again!”

About: I’ve always had a passion for dogs and they are my happy place. I’ve had my furbaby for the past 3 years and would love to extend my love to other furbabies as well. I am a very patient and caring person and love volunteering to transport of foster dogs. I’m currently not working so I’ll have plenty of time to dedicate my time energy and attention to the dogs I am entrusted with. My world revolves around my dog. I have a friendly dog that I care for as if he was my baby. Dogs mean so much to me and would love to share the love I have for dogs.

Sabrina kept me updated and took lots of pics! From dropping him off her place looks so serene, perfect for my anxious boy! When I picked him up I saw his head from the window relaxing on their couch and it made me feel at ease and so happy that he was living his best life with them! I will definitely book with her again 💙

Jennifer is the most patient, loving and nurturing person I have ever met. She has become a huge part of my puppies upbringing and crucial to our lives as well. She is so understanding towards animals and people. I honestly don’t know what I would do without her! She’s always available and updates me constantly with pictures and videos of my pup. I never had a doubt or a worry for my pup when dropping him with Jennifer. If you’re looking for your pets to feel safe, loved and cared for Jennifer is the best of the best!

I highly recommend Gileen! She’s a very warm person and took great care of my dog throughout the day. She made sure he got walks, gave him lots of company and attention, and truly made me feel at ease. I needed someone to watch my dog for the day last minute, and I really appreciated that she was able to help! She gave me so much peace of mind knowing my dog was with someone caring, attentive, and trustworthy. It’s clear she genuinely cares about the pets she watches, and I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for someone reliable and kind to care for their dog! :)

Vanessa was awesome for supporting us on short notice. Cared for Leia as one of her own and Leia really enjoyed her stay. Provided frequent updates and followed Leia’s daily routine to ensure she was comfortable during her stay, especially since it was Leia’s first time. We highly recommend Vanessa and we would definitely book for her services in the near future.

Caroline was so great with Beedee! This was our first experience on Rover and we’re honestly so happy with it all thanks to Caroline. We were anxious about Beedee’s separation anxiety and unwillingness to walk but Caroline took a more cooperative approach allowing beedee to go at her own pace to acclimate to her new environment. I was also nervous about how Beedee can get strong zoomies or dart towards cats but that didn't seem to be a problem at all. Caroline also gave us photo/video updates frequently so it put us at ease knowing Beedee is in good hands. Overall I had such a great experience with Caroline and will be coming back. Thank you so much!!😊

Mario is awesome with our boys. Definitely treats our pups like family and our boys definitely love spending time with Mario. They get excited knowing they will be with Mario for the day when we say let’s go with Mario. - their ears perk up and run to the door!

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Cerritos commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
