About: What sets me apart from other sitters is my lifelong experience and genuine passion for caring for dogs. I’ve been taking care of dogs since I was 15 years old, and over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to care for dogs of all ages—from playful puppies to senior companions. I’ve personally house trained all of my own dogs growing up, so I’m very comfortable with helping reinforce good habits and routines. In addition to puppy training, I’m also attentive to the special needs of senior dogs, including slower-paced walks, medication schedules, and making sure they’re comfortable and well-cared for. I take the time to understand each dog’s personality and needs so they feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. Pet care is a natural part of my daily and weekly routine! I have a hybrid work schedule, which means I'm home most of the week and only go into the office two days. This allows me to be present and attentive, giving pets the love, care, and attention they need throughout the day—whether it’s for walks, feeding, playtime, or just keeping them company. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals and love incorporating pet care into my everyday life. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or in a client’s home, my priority is always to make sure each pet feels safe, loved, and comfortable. I tailor my care based on the pet’s routine and needs, whether that means sticking to a specific feeding schedule, giving medication, going on regular walks, or simply spending quality time playing or cuddling. When pets stay in my home, they’re treated like part of the family. I provide a clean, safe, and pet-friendly environment with plenty of attention and affection throughout the day. For in-home visits or house sitting, I’m respectful of my client’s space and aim to keep things as close to the pet’s normal routine as possible to help reduce stress while their owner is away. No matter the setting, I focus on clear communication, reliable care, and lots of love to give pet parents peace of mind.

“Brandy was wonderful. We left a list for her to know Peanuts routine . Brandy did everything! Peanut seemed very happy and content when we arrived home, so I know she was well taken care of. We would absolutely have Brandy watch again!”

“Matt is the absolute best!! Very sweet and kind to my 13 year old black Lab. From the meet and greet I could tell Matt was very sweet to my Lola and empathetic to my anxiety of leaving my elderly pup alone. Matt was very attentive to following the list of directions for my pups eating and med routine and was so kind to send me updates each time food, meds and potty breaks happened. Matt sent tons of pics all day. Already booking Matt for my next trip. Thank you Matt you are an angel.”

“Maria stayed in our home with our dog for 9 days and we and our dog absolutely love her. He is a senior with special needs including needing 6 medications per day (liquid, tablet, and capsule). She sent us frequent updates and photos, and we came home to a clean house and happy pup. We already booked her again for our next trip. She genuinely loves the dogs in her care like her own and we are so glad to have found her!”

“Great experience. Amanda is so nice and personable. My pugs took to her right away and were well taken care of. She was very communicative and sent pictures of our hooligans while we were away. Will definitely book again in the future.”

“Maureen was amazing giving us updates and sending pictures so we felt at ease even when we were across the country from our Lily. She also left a super sweet note and magnet she’d made. Will definitely be rebooking.”

About: I have been around all type of animals since I was born. I grew up with a weekly visit to my families farm, which kickstarted my passion for animal-care and provided a strong foundation to understanding all creatures and ensuring they are living their best lives. In high school, I worked at a dog-boarding facility called Shamrock Ranch, feeding, walking, and loving on the residents. Since graduating in 2020 and moving to San Diego, I have acquired my own pack of 3 land-sharks, all with their own array of needs being rescue dogs. Hence, I am capable and comfortable handling dogs with special needs, reactivity, and those who just need a little longer to warm up. I also have been rescuing rats for years, so I am very familiar with their needs and would love to help with yours! I currently only work at farmers markets on the weekends serving up Buddah bowls, so my schedule is wide-open on weekdays and weekend afternoons / evenings. Having rescue dogs with different needs, I am always very aware of my surroundings and observant of potential triggers. I am also a very detail oriented person, always double-checking that the doors are locked behind me, etc.

About: Hi, I’m Linda—your friendly neighborhood pet pal from the Northmont corner of La Mesa—a lifelong dog-and-cat whisperer with a soft spot for neighborhood strolls, sunny snuggle sessions, and furry companions of every kind. From playful pups to wise old whiskers, I’ve shared my home and heart with my dachshunds and kitties galore—and I still believe there’s nothing better than earning a tail wag or a quiet purr of approval. I'm 100% retired and based in La Mesa’s Northmont area, I live near Northmont park…with lots of room for running and chasing a ball, or just lounging under a shady tree. I bring calm, consistent care with a side of local flair. Your pet and I might wander familiar trails, explore shaded sidewalks, or simply lounge on the porch with the breeze in our fur. Whether it’s a walk, a weekend stay, or just a drop-in cuddle and kibble check, I’ll treat your four-legged family like my own—with warmth, punctuality, and lots of love. Let’s make your time away feel like just another cozy day for your pet. I'm 100% retired and based in La Mesa’s Northmont area. I am currently available 7 days/week. Prefer early morning walks if possible to protect your pet's paws from hot pavement and heat of the day. I prefer not to provide visits to my personal home, but more than willing to care for your fur babies in your home, where they're comfortable and in their familiar environment. I’m fully insured with professional PCI ("Pet Care Insurance") liability coverage, including animal bailee and veterinarian reimbursement—giving you peace of mind while your pets are in my care. Safety, trust, and premium service are always my priority. Certified in Pet CPR & Emergency Care 🐾 Your pet’s safety is my top priority. I’m proud to be certified through the RECOVER Initiative—the gold standard in veterinary CPR training. This evidence-based program, developed by leading veterinary specialists, equips me with the skills to respond confidently in emergency situations. Whether I’m walking your dog or caring for your cat, you can trust that I’m prepared, informed, and committed to their well-being.

About: Certified in Cat and Dog First Aid – American Red Cross Hi! I’m a lifelong animal lover with experience caring for a wide range of pets, scaled or furry, young and old. Whether your pet is young and playful or a senior in need of a little extra care, I look forward to giving them the best care they need. I’ve cared for many medium to large dog breeds such as Labrador Retrievers, Boxers, Pit Bulls, Siberian and Alaskan Huskies, and Malamutes. I also have experience with smaller breeds like Dachshunds and French Bulldogs. For cats, I’ve grown up with them in my own home as well as cared for friends and neighbors over the years. I currently share my home with two of my own, Ulysses and James 🐈 🐈⬛. Reliable, compassionate, and trained in pet first aid, I’m here to make sure your pets feel safe, happy, and loved while you're away. I'm also happy to help with simple household tasks like bringing in packages or taking out the trash. Feel free to reach out during a visit and let me know! 🕓 Schedule I have a fairly flexible work schedule. I do work a typical 9-5 but can pop in and out for short periods of time. Please message me and we can get you on my schedule ☺️ 💛 Care I think having a set routine for pets is very important, especially when you’re away. Ideally I would try to best emulate what schedule you have your pet on with walks and feeding schedule.

About: My name is Zach. I grew up with multiple dogs in our family in Virginia (my parents were loyal lab lovers and the picture in my profile is of our family dog named Quill). Taking care of a dog always felt like second nature to me. My friends have always come to me with full sense of trust to take care of their dogs while they were away. They joked about how their dogs were taking a vacation when they came to my place. I enjoy running and venturing outdoors during my free time and I take the dogs there. I’ve taken care of puppies and senior dogs. They are the sweetest companions and it does not feel like work for me to take care of them. That’s what makes this job enjoyable. My schedule is free and I’m at home most times of the day. My schedule is ideal for me to be able to provide a home for dogs, take them out for frequent bathroom breaks, and take them outdoors/park. My apartment is decently spacious to house a dog of any size. I don’t have any dogs currently, so my full attention would be for your dog. I don’t have a yard, but our apartment complex has a fenced play area for dogs and a nearby park.

“Jenny took great care of our pack while we were away. She was so organized and communicative from the start that we had complete confidence in her and she did not let us down. She was quick to respond when we were in touch while we were on our trip and we came home to 2 happy cats and 2 happy dogs and a clean and tidy house. What more can you ask for? Highly recommend!”

Zachary M.
“Zach is the most reliable dog sitter I know. I’ve seen him take care of my dog in addition to his friends’ dogs with so much enthusiasm. I can’t think of anybody who is a better friend and companion to dogs. He has a way of calming them down, making them feel comfortable, and thinking of their well-being before anything else. He cares so much about their needs and goals for the day. It was sweet to watch how much the dogs enjoy exercising with him. I’ve always recommended other friends to contact Zach for help with care.”

"I recently had the pleasure of hiring Chase to care for my dog Lucy, and I couldn’t be more satisfied. Chase was incredibly attentive, reliable, and showed genuine affection for Lucy. Chase stayed at our house for a week and throughout the sitting period, Chase provided regular updates and photos, which gave me peace of mind. Lucy seemed happy, well-exercised, and relaxed when I returned. I highly recommend Chase to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring dog sitter. Thank you for your outstanding service!"

Sabrina was a wonderful house sitter. She took care of my two dogs while I was out of town for a friends wedding. Sabrina sent many updates while I was away which helped me feel better that they were happy and taken care off by someone so kind. She even took them to dog beach (which I said was okay) and washed them afterwards so I came home to two tired but excited dogs. I would use Sabrina again without a second thought!

Kris is the most wonderful kitty sitter and house sitter imaginable! This is our second time having Kris stay at our home for an extended period of time while we were out of town. Having her take care of the kitties and the house while we were away for 2-weeks brought us so much peace of mind and allowed us to relax and unwind without any worries. She sent daily photos and videos and kept me posted on all pertinent details each day. She's extremely patient and flexible and went out of her way to find a solution to help my two picky eaters eat their wet food. She also did an amazing job keeping them entertained with lots of playtime. We returned home to two very happy and content kitties and a spotless house. She's an absolute gem and we are so grateful for her help! Kris will always be our go-to house sitter anytime we travel.

Justine is a fantastic sitter and left me without worry while she housesat with our fur babies for a few nights. She is a clear communicator and took very good care of our three Australian Shepherds. On top of the excellent care, she also left our house in great shape for our return.

Analicia did a great job watching my dog and three cats for two nights in my home. This is the second time we had her pet sit and both times she has sent regular updates and tons of pictures. She was great with our dog and cats, playing with them and giving lots of pets. One of our cats settled right into her lap. Analicia left everything clean (and even did dishes - wow!) and we would love to have her pet sit again in the future!

This was my first time using Ava and I was so happy with everything. She took wonderful care of our doggie and I swear my house looked better than I left it. Ava was communicative about how things were going at home and how Oakley was doing. I feel really lucky that I found her and will without a doubt use her again. P.S. when I returned, my dog chose to sleep where they slept together instead of with me!

Gretchen was so great with my dogs! I feel like she really cared about their needs & spent time with them. My doodle usually doesn’t go on walks with sitters & barely eats when I’m gone, but he walked with her the first night & all throughout! The house was clean when we got home & she sent pics & updates through the stay. Excited to have her again!

Tara was FANTASTIC!! My german shepherd Adonis is extremely reactive and my senior dog Astro has heart disease so both have a completely different schedule and she was amazing and so so so accommodating for them while I was away. This was the best first experience I have ever had on Rover. Thank you so much Tara you rock!!!

Jackie was Amazing! She stayed at my house while watching 4 of my dogs. Everything was exactly how I left it. I gave her Full run of the house and yards. I highly appreciate all that she did. I will definitely use Jackie again in any of my future plans. Thank You again!! David
