About: I have worked at a doggie daycare. I also grew up with dogs and cats my entire life. My parents have two dogs and two cats, and I have a cat. I am a college student with lots of breaks in my schedule to check in on pets or take them for walks. I also have a part-time job in the afternoon, but it is only 1 day a week and every other weekend. I would listen to the client's rules on how to take care of their pet(s). Depending on what the client wants I would do my best to accommodate their needs.
About: I've taken care of a variety of dogs since I was very young. I grew up with labs and I am very comfortable with all sizes of dogs. I took care of my yellow lab/retriever mix, Blue, for so many years; taking her on long walks, giving her baths, making sure she got along with our neighbor dogs. I also helped out taking care of my neighbor dogs from time to time. After my dog died at the age of 15, my family didn't think we would get another dog. 7 years ago, we got a new puppy, his name is Brooks, and he is a yellow lab. He is very different than our old dog. He has lots of energy, he has ran away a couple times but always came back or we found him, and we lived on 2 acres of land so that helped. He is our first inside dog, so he loves cuddles, treats, sleeping, playing catch and sneaking downstairs where he is not supposed to be. I have lots of experience with dogs and I appreciate and love them very much! I am currently working at the University of Wisconsin La Crosse, so I have the summer off. This summer I also work part-time at Festival. During the school year, I have Fridays off and I am done by 5:30pm the other days. On Mondays and Wednesdays I have slower mornings. I can help out throughout the day and on weekends. I live in an apartment building but there is an area with lots of grass and next to the building and around the area. My building doesn’t allow pets so I am not able to house pets at my place, but I can always talk to my landlord.
About: I have taken care of dogs of all stages over the years and I am equipped to care for animals of every age. Most recently my dogs have entered senior status so I have lots of experience providing the care they need, but I am experienced with caring for puppies and adolescent animals as well. I am a student at UWL so I have a fairly flexible schedule. During the week my schedule varies with my class schedule but Thursday through Sunday I am most available, which is perfect for weekends away! I am unable to house animals in my home due to my landlord not allowing pets, so I will treat your animals and your home in a safe and respectful manner. I have pet-sat and babysat numerous times so I am a trustworthy and reliable source that will treat your pets with the care they need and deserve!
“We are so grateful to have Araya around to watch our boy for us! She takes the best pictures of him which is always so nice when we’re away. We’ve booked with her multiple times now and are always happy!”

About: I’ve grown up around dogs and have taken care of them since I was young! I love them way more than people. I am counting down till I can have my own little pack of dogs. I’m used to dogs that pull on leashes, but it’s a plus when they’re an easy walker :) I currently am in college so whenever I don’t have classes I am completely free! Once a month for one weekend I work on a military base, but other than that I would love to spend my time with a pup! I am willing to do whatever to keep your dog’s routine normal. I am used to crate training, routine dog walks, etc. No judgement from me :)
About: I have loved animals of all kinds and caring for them my whole life! Ranging from dogs of all breeds, cats, and even chickens! As a dog walker and pet sitter I will care for your pet like they are my own. I have 3 pups and 1 cat of my own. I have even had chickens for years! There isn’t a pet I wouldn’t feel comfortable watching. As a stay at home mom I have a completely open schedule and would love to help you whether that be daily walks with your furry friends, drops in for play time and snuggles, or even watching them at our home if you need some time away! I am comfortable administering medications and working on any commands you prefer while walking and dropping in. I like to schedule a meet and greet before any pet sitting or walking to go over any safety concerns, meet your pet and build trust. I can’t wait to meet you and your furry friends! Send me a booking request and we can get some dates in the books whenever you need! I am a stay at home mom with unlimited availability! I am free for walks and drop in’s daily. As well as overnights on request (both cats and dogs) after a meet and greet with my animals as well! I have a half acre fenced in yard for your pups to play in! I have 3 pups of my own that LOVE to play and fetch and will get lots of energy out of your dog if they stay the night. I have crate space as well if your pup is crate trained!
“Kiana was amazing during her drop in visits with our cats. She was able to get them to play and eat treats. She kept the litter boxes clean and the kitties happy. She even watered my plants! Kiana is a great communicator and I will definitely be using her again!”

About: I really enjoy taking care of my own and my family and friends’ pets. I connect with animals easily and feel good in their presence. I am currently taking care of my aging dog Bilka. I’m not teaching during the summer months and have a lot of availability in July and August. I can pet sit on weekdays and on weekends. I have a fenced in yard where my dog can roam around. My cat does not go outside but has comfortable spaces in the house to sleep or watch what happens outside through the windows. I will follow your safety rules to keep your pet safe and well.
About: I have taken care of my own dog as well as taken family friends dogs on walks and runs. I am currently training for a half marathon, so if your dogs loves long runs or long walks I would love to help them get outside and exercise. I currently am working part time on top of school. Most days I can take dogs on a walk or run in the morning to later afternoon! I currently live in an apartment where pets are not allowed, so for now I will stick to taking dogs on walks and runs whether that’s around a safe neighborhood or at a park.
About: I have had multiple pets. My first dog was a high energy Coonhound and I went to training lessons with him. I now own a Maltipoo, a chihuahua, and a cat. I also have experience babysitting my sisters senior pup. I work full-time during the week in healthcare. My job times can vary but I am typically available weekdays after 5pm. I am available most weekends. I care about keeping your house cleaner than I found it. I’ll make sure to take your pup out every couple hours to avoid any mess.
“Ashlyn was very affectionate with our pet. Even though it was the first time with her our kitty seemed relaxed and comfortable during Ashyln’s drop in visits. We received detailed updates along with pictures that made me feel connected with our pet even though we were far away. Meeting Ashlyn the first time for the meet and greet itself felt good and made me feel confident that our cat would be well cared for. We are so happy to have Ashlyn care for our cat and wouldn’t hesitate to hire Ashlyn again!”

About: I’ve always had a dog in my home and help cared for them since I was born. I’ve helped raised puppies and cared for senior dogs! Back home for college without an internship so I have almost the entirety of July and the beginning of August off to house and pet sit! I can’t keep your pets at my house but I love playing and going on walks but I’m also happy to care for more mellow or elderly dogs!
About: I have had multiple dogs since I was born. They were of different sizes and breeds. I have also dog sat for multiple family friends. Work some on the weekends, but available all throughout the week. I work 8 hour shifts on the weekends so I will care for your pets right before and after my shift. I have my own very sturdy dog leash that I can use if you don’t have one. I also have a vehicle so I’m able to drive to different places.
About: I have a large extended family and I have been everybody's go to pet sitter since I was in highschool. I especially fell in love with animal care when I stayed with my aunt's elderly cat for 4 months. He had such personality and required special medicine. I often took care of my employer's dog and bunny when she was out of town. More recently I have begun to watch friends dogs and cats or run to their homes for emergency potty breaks when they've gotten stuck at work. My schedule is limited because I work in retail full time. My schedule is not the same every day. I typically work 9 to 5:30, but some days may deviate. If your animal is unable to be left alone for at least 4 hours at a time, I may not be the best fit for you. I am unable to provide care in my home as I live in a small apartment. I can take care of all your pets needs in your home and am happy to follow any directions and special requests.
“Lindsay was beyond amazing, I wish I could leave more than 5 stars! She was very patient with my dog the first time she met her, and now they are the best of friends! She sent SO many adorable update photos and left sweet notes which made me feel reassured. This was my first time using a Rover sitter, and I plan on sticking with Lindsay for a long time to come!”

“We had great communication from Tyonna that made me feel very secure our dogs were being well taken care of Real evidence of that is I have cameras in the hallway leading to the dogs sleeping areas. When the dogs start to come downstairs it triggers the camera but also records sounds. One recording my dog Lily was being called downstairs and you could hear from below how nicely and lovingly Lily was being called to come down to dinner and potty time”

About: I have pet sat a handful of times for family and friends, and grew up surrounded by farm animals of all kinds! I can’t wait to meet your pet! I am an elementary teacher who has the summers off! I am currently available all hours of the day to care for your pets, whether that is giving snuggles or going for a walk! My fiancé and I have two kitties, both 1 year old, Clay and Aussie! We love to spoil them. They are highly exposed to other people, children, they travel in the car with us, and have been exposed to other animals! We have a fenced in yard where we take our kitties outside to explore. I’d love to care for your pets the same way we care for ours!

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - La Crosse
Randy has been wonderful. Charly needed a true dog person who could read his body language and facial expressions. Randy was spot on and worked great with him from the start. He worked off of Charly's energy and let Charly come to him when he was ready. We had 3 meet and greets with a dog that has been historically difficult to find sitters for and now for the first time we have someone we feel really safe with.
This was our first time using Rover. Natalia came over for a meet and greet and my dogs loved her right away. She came for 2 drop in visits while we were out of town for part of a day/night and let us know when she came, what the dogs did while she was with them, sent lots of pictures, and let us know when she was done. It was great to see the doggos were in great hands while we were away. Thanks Natalia! We will definitely reach out to her again for future needs.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
To find sitters in La Crosse with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
