“We have had Mia stay twice with our pups, and we always know they will be loved and cared for. We do communicate much better in person or by phone, rather than with my typical (overly-lengthy!) notes, but she is wonderful about reaching out with questions and making sure the doggies are taken care of. She is also so patient and good with Queen, our nervous dog. Thanks Mia!”

“Megan was nothing short of incredible in her care of Charlie and Sandy, and our home, for 4 nights! We had never used Megan before, but I loved her wealth of experience in the zoo world and her tremendous reviews from those who had worked with her! Our request with Megan originated as a family get-together with our boys and their families just 2 hours away for 3 nights. As time drew near, we received a sad phone call that we had a family emergency with my Mom that entailed a 10-hour drive. We contacted Megan to explain the situation and were so elated to learn that she understood our situation and was willing and able to assist us in adding an additional night! We met Megan for a Meet & Greet and were extremely impressed! She was determined to understand what was necessary to successfully care for Charlie and Sandy, and our home, while we were away. Megan took detailed notes to assist her and emailed them to us, for our information. While we were away, Megan checked in several times/day with an update and pictures of the dogs. She followed our requests precisely. She walked them, brushed them, played with them, scooped after them in our yard and on walks, and much more. From the house-sitting perspective, she even watered our plants! When we returned home, the dogs were great! The house and yard looked as if we had never left! Megan was impeccable! She even emailed us notes of her activity while we were away, for our information. We have been on Rover for 5-plus years. Megan is by far the best Rover that we have found for house-sitting, including pet care! She has phenomenal credentials and reviews from the zoo world. She understands pets and is extremely conscientious, as well as personable! We HIGHLY RECOMMEND Megan T !!!”

“Tanisha was fantastic house sitting. Despite some initial challenges with our temperamental feline, she was professional and made us completely comfortable. We hope to have her work with us again soon!”

“Kaley was so good to my Murphy boy! Updated me throughout the day constantly with pictures, I love how I didn’t even have to ask for that. She stayed in my home with Murphy and had everything the way I left it when I got back home. Kaley will be my preferred pet sitter from now on!”

“Mariah was wonderful! She took great care of our two Basenjis and sent us several photos showing how content they were. We were a last minute booking and she was so very accommodating. We highly recommend Mariah!”

About: Loving, Experienced Dog/Cat Sitter – Safe & Cozy Home for Your Pup! Hi! I’m a lifelong dog lover with years of experience caring for dogs of all sizes and personalities. Your pup will be treated like family in my clean, calm, and pet-friendly home. I offer a safe space, plenty of playtime, cuddles, and regular updates so you can relax while you’re away. I understand how much your dog means to you—and I’ll care for them like they’re my own. As i have 3 dogs staying with my dad, and visit so often, i love them very much! Pet sitting fits perfectly into my daily life because I work part-time and have a flexible schedule, so I’m home most of the day to give pets plenty of attention and care. I have hands-on experience with my own 3 dogs, who stay with my father when I’m watching guest pets to keep a calm environment. I also have experience through my own experiences, where I’ve cared for dogs and cats with different needs, from playful pups to senior dogs and cats needing a gentler routine. I work part-time, which gives me the flexibility to care for pets throughout the day and adjust to their specific needs. In my home, your dog will enjoy a comfortable, loving environment with plenty of space to relax or play, depending on their energy level. I’m available for walks at any time and can stick to your dog’s usual routine to help them feel at ease. If your dog requires crating, I ask that you bring their own crate to maintain a sense of familiarity and comfort. My goal is to make every pet feel safe, loved, and right at home.
“Micaela took great care of our two big babies while we were away. We are newish to Rover and Micaela made us feel comfortable putting them in her care. We hope to have her again!”

“Pearl was extremely communicative with us and super loving towards our dog. Luna instantly warmed up to her caring and bubbly personality. We needed someone who could be with Luna at all times as she has anxiety and Pearl understood the needs of a husky perfectly. She consistently sent updates and pictures throughout the day. She creates a relationship of trust with you that is necessary for leaving your furry child in the care of another. We would definitely recommend her services!”

About: Caregiving is a calling and a special gift I've had for as long as I can remember. I've been trusted with the care of many animals, my own, neighbors, friends, and families since very young. I am always willing to learn more. While I am searching for the next move in my career path, I have ample time to spend with my family, enjoy the company of my friends, and work on small business ideas- this being one of them. I would love to spend more time around animals while I better myself in every aspect. Caring for a life typically means giving more than food, water, bathroom breaks or on occasion medications. It's understandable that some pets can dysregulated by their owners absence. For this reason I do my best to keep their space familiar and comfortable. The pets I care for are all shown compassion and patience while their pet parents are away. Updates, pictures and videos can be sent upon request.
About: Tristan is a Kissimmee local with experience caring for dogs of all sizes, ages, experiences and personalities. He does not currently reside with a dog in the home, so your four-legged pal is welcome anytime. I work full time Monday-Friday, 9-5, so I am available on the weekends and in the evenings. If boarding or sitting for several days, your dog may be alone for a standard work day. I do have one roommate who is a fellow dog-lover and Rover sitter (with an opposite schedule) who is happy to assist while I am away. I live on the second floor of a condominium with a small staircase. There is no gated or fenced-in yard, but plenty of grassy areas to take care of business and get some exercise. There is a handful of dogs in the community, but all are leashed by their owners.
“We had an amazing experience with our dog sitter! Andrea was reliable, communicative, and treated our dog like their own. We received regular updates and photos, which gave us total peace of mind. Our dog was happy, well cared for, and relaxed when we returned. I would absolutely recommend her and will be booking again.”

“Abigail helped me on short notice in an emergency situation and was able to take over care when another sitter didn’t show. She did an incredible job giving updates, following care instructions, and loving on the cats. She left the home better than she found it and her deep care for animals is evident in both her words and her actions!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Kissimmee
Tara was amazing! We hired her last minute before going out of town & she treated our dogs and home amazing. Our dogs are older and we get nervous leaving them with people as they can be a bit nervous. Her care is unmatched & she was amazing at keeping in touch and making sure to follow the instructions for their care. We were so happy to have her and will definitely be using her again for our little ones!
We used Pam for recurring weekly drop-ins and could not have been luckier to find her. When our little senior citizen dog first started with Pam, he was on some meds from a heart surgery so his care regimen was more detailed. She was willing to come by before the weekly drop-ins to run through everything and do a quick meet & greet, and our dog felt super comfortable around her. Pam was always super responsive, kind, and timely with everything. She also sent me photos with every visit. Pam is absolutely the best and do not hesitate to book with her. We have loved working with her and you will too!

Noemi was amazing with Millie and Luna! She was very responsive, sent lots of pictures and updates throughout the whole time I was away. She cleaned up my apartment a bit before I got back which was not required but I appreciated very much! Overall wonderful, and I will definitely reach out the next time I need someone to watch my pups :)

I couldn’t be happier with the care my dog received! Dakota was so loving, responsible, and attentive. She kept me updated with pictures and messages, which gave me total peace of mind while I was away. My dog was happy, well cared for, and clearly enjoyed her time. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and amazing dog sitter!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Kissimmee on Rover is $53.5 per night (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of August 2026, there are 2,986 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Kissimmee. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Kissimmee walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Kissimmee maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Kissimmee choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Kissimmee. On Rover:
- 89% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
