“Mariah is amazing and so attentive to detail! My pup can be nervous and shy with unfamiliar people, but Mariah did a great job helping her warm up to her. She is very responsive and great to work with 💜”

About: Throughout my life, I have cared for and loved so many dogs, birds, cats, and small creatures. I am an animal lover and have raised my children around all kinds of animals, which they now have a love for. I have taken in so many animals that have been rescued, abandoned, or just owner surrender. I now volunteer with a local rescue that transports all over the state of Fl. I have worked in the Veterinary field for few years and know how to care for your family. I also have 4 dogs and 2 cats myself and they are spoiled family members. I look forward in helping you with your fur baby's needs. I am currently just walking, sitting, and caring for any pet that needs my help and I love doing this!! Right it's just part time but I hope to make it full time job. For now, I will only be able to care for animals in their own homes and environments and follow the request of care by the owner
“Sophia was absolutely amazing with Milo and Chase! From the moment we met her, we felt completely at ease. She was incredibly sweet and attentive with them, took them on extra walks, and made sure they got plenty of love and exercise. We really appreciated the constant updates—she shared tons of photos and messages, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. She even surprised us with extra photos and a detailed progress report, which was such a thoughtful touch. It’s clear she genuinely cares about the dogs she watches. We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter and would 100% trust her with Milo and Chase again. Highly recommend Sophia!”

About: I promise to love and care for your pets as if they were mine, just like id like for someone to care for my 2 doggies Im currently a full time college student entering summer break and what better way to spend my summer than by doing something i love? Looking after dogs. I love engaging with the pups and playing with them till they or I get too tired, i am very attentive to them and will be respectful of whatever boundaries the pet or the home has.

“Marylynn was an amazing sitter! Our animals absolutely loved her and she was so attentive! We received lots of pictures of our fur babies while we were gone and they looked so happy! She will be our go-to sitter for any of our upcoming trips! I couldn’t have asked for better care 🩷”

About: Caregiving is a calling and a special gift I've had for as long as I can remember. I've been trusted with the care of many animals, my own, neighbors, friends, and families since very young. I am always willing to learn more. While I am searching for the next move in my career path, I have ample time to spend with my family, enjoy the company of my friends, and work on small business ideas- this being one of them. I would love to spend more time around animals while I better myself in every aspect. Caring for a life typically means giving more than food, water, bathroom breaks or on occasion medications. It's understandable that some pets can dysregulated by their owners absence. For this reason I do my best to keep their space familiar and comfortable. The pets I care for are all shown compassion and patience while their pet parents are away. Updates, pictures and videos can be sent upon request.
“Valeria has house sat for us twice now and both times she has been amazing. The second time became a bit harder because we had to have special food for one of our dogs but she didn’t blink an eye. She loves our babies like they are her own and takes such good care of them while we are gone.”

About: With over 4 years of professional dog handling/training experience, I aim to keep your furry friend safe and happy! Before we get to my experience, I just want to mention that I am wheelchair bound, so I prefer to stick to walking smaller dogs unless they are well-mannered on a leash! The size of animal is not a concern if a walk is not a requirement! For drop ins, it would require a mostly accessible entrance into the home. I can do a single small step, but otherwise zero-entry would be the most ideal! I have worked alongside a dog trainer who also offers boarding services for the past 4 years, I have volunteered for many animal shelters, including Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando for 2 years, I have been training my own dogs for the past 14 years, including training my current service dog, and I have previously shadowed veterinarians in a clinic environment. I absolutely love both dogs and cats, and I can assure you that they will be in great hands! I truly can’t wait to get in touch with you and meet your fur baby!! I currently work a part-time job, but often get scheduled full-time hours. I usually work between the hours of 8 and 6:30, so I can do night checks on my work days. My guaranteed days off are Monday and Tuesday, and I could complete as many drop ins as needed to keep your fur baby happy and healthy! I want to make sure that your baby stays comfortable, especially with a stranger coming into the home. I am very well versed on animal behaviour and body language, so I will never rush or force an interaction. I plan to follow the same schedule that you would as an owner, so that their schedule remains the same, even without a family member present. I will also make sure that the pet parents are staying updated with photos and messages throughout the day to maintain trust and communication!
About: For the past 8 years, I’ve been a devoted dog owner and have cared for dogs of all ages; puppies, adults, and seniors. I’ve handled daily walks, and ensure a fun, enriching environment for each pup I care for. I’m currently working full time, but I’m looking for more opportunities in doing what I love. I make pet care a natural part of my daily rhythm whether it’s morning walks, playtime in the afternoon, or evening cuddle sessions. I also like to keep a flexible weekly schedule so I can adjust to the pet’s needs, like vet visits or extra exercise. I take a really careful approach. For clients homes, I stick to their preferences, I ask about any special routines or sensitivities, and I make sure to follow their instructions. I’m also mindful of cleanliness and keeping the environment stress free for the pets.
About: I’ve been a pet owner my whole life. I treat them like family and have always been the go to for friends and family to pet sit and walk! I’m a stay at home mom, so my schedule is pretty flexible. I figured we already go on daily walks, why not meet some pup friends! 🐾 I have the utmost respect for pups and their families. I know how much I care for my doggo and would treat yours the same 🤗
“Ana was phenomenal with Jeter. She listened and understood what our needs were for him. She was so sweet and she sent me photos throughout the day and communicated very well! Jeter loved her as well. We already booked her for a future date!”

“Jacqueline was so amazing to our pups. We hired her last minute because we just moved here without dog sitting resources. She communicates efficiently and has a lot of experience with dog watching. She knew how to make the dogs comfortable with her presence when meeting. She spent a lot of time with them and they were always wagging their tails in the pictures. We are very happy to have found her - and with pretty much no notice. It was just what we needed as helicopter dog parents. We forgot the ease of having others watch our pups or dropping them off short notice when we traveled. We found Jackie to be that same reliable source for us.”

The median cost per night for house sitting in Buena Ventura Lakes is $45
Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Buena Ventura Lakes
If you’re looking for someone responsible, kind, and genuinely caring to look after your pets, Vianka is it. As a pet sitter myself, I really appreciated how communicative she was and how much love and attention she gave my two dogs. We booked her last minute for housesitting over Christmas break, and even though we had never met her before, she made us feel so comfortable and safe leaving our babies (and our home) with her. She kept us updated constantly, checked in, and shared little updates that truly meant everything. Tokyo and Ona already miss their new bestie. We’re beyond grateful we found her and will 1,000% be booking her again, and you should too!

We had an absolutely wonderful experience with Amber! From the start, communication was clear and timely, which gave us so much peace of mind. She were incredibly caring, attentive, and treated our dog like her own. We received regular updates and photos, and it was clear our pup was happy, comfortable, and well cared for the entire time. We came home to a relaxed, well-loved dog and couldn’t be more grateful. Highly recommend and will definitely be booking again!

Nancy was outstanding and very good at giving me updates as she was watching Bailey. She sent pictures and videos to let me know how Bailey was doing. She also had to deal with an emergency water situation at my house and did an incredible job. My sincere thanks and appreciation to Nancy.

Genesis is absolutely amazing! She takes such great care of our dogs and house. I think my dogs miss her already. She sent us pictures and updates throughout the day, and was a great communicator. I felt very comfortable knowing she was at our house with our dogs. We will definitely have Gen back again and again. She’s the best!

I couldn’t be happier with the care my dog received! Dakota was so loving, responsible, and attentive. She kept me updated with pictures and messages, which gave me total peace of mind while I was away. My dog was happy, well cared for, and clearly enjoyed her time. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and amazing dog sitter!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Buena Ventura Lakes walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Buena Ventura Lakes maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Buena Ventura Lakes choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
