About: Hi, I'm Marissa! I'm one of those people who, before I came out of my shell, spent more time with animals than people. Sometimes I still do. I've had dogs and cats all my life, and also rode horses starting just before I was 4. I have 9 years of experience on Rover and another 2 independently dog walking and sitting before that. I’ve cared for many kinds of dogs and cats, fish, turtles, donkeys, a family of racoons, and more. And I have a lot of experience caring for older animals and animals with medical conditions. I also used to volunteer with my mom transporting rescue dogs with Echo Dog White German Shepherd rescue. I am a homebody for the most part, so once I'm there I'm probably not going anywhere. My capital W Work is writing - I'm 13 years into an elven magic realism epic screenplay/novel series, it is my passion project and pet/housesitting gives me the time to tend to that vision, and fur babies to keep me company! Walking and playing with them keeps me active and in my beloved nature. It is a great joy to give people peace of mind while they travel, knowing their home and furbabies are in good hands. I know how stressful it can be - I was born in the Northeast and then moved to Nashville when I was 12 so my mom and I would drive up there to visit family, but we would often bring our dog and cats with us on that 13 hr ride because we didn’t have anyone we trusted to watch them. It’s a great time, unless it’s a family emergency. Now, I get to be that person for other people! My clients relaxing, knowing that they can have fun or do what needs doing and that their fur babies are taken care of at home - that is priceless and never gets old. If you have 3 or more pets, I'm happy to give a discount. I know how hard it can be trying to find care for them when you have many. Feel free to reach out! Pets are family. I will make sure they receive the best care possible! I'm a night owl myself when I'm home but whatever their routine is, I will stick to that as much as I can. For dogs, walks are included in housesitting if you want that. And any plant and garden care etc. Totally depends on your and your pet's needs. I'm so excited to look after your fur baby!
“Samantha is always the best! She is great with the pups, great at communicating, and it makes travel something we feel laid back about. Never any worry with Amanda! She always goes above and beyond. Thank you!!”

About: I’ve been helping take care of animals for the last 10 years! Always ready to meet a new furry friend, and in case yours needs a friend my puppy would love to meet yours. I’ve trained her since she was 4 months old and she is always sweet, energetic and playful! I have a very flexible schedule and work remotely so I can work around mostly any schedule. A few days a week I do go on hikes or long walks with my dog, then spend some time with friends. I live with my dog in a decent neighborhood, there is a dog park very close by that I can bring your puppy to with mine! My dog Aayla, is a very sweet and gentle puppy who gets very excited to meet new friends. She is crate trained and can be put away if she over stimulates yours and she has plenty of toys she would love to share!
About: I’ve been caring for dogs since I was 11 and taking care of animals has always been something I genuinely enjoy. Over the years, family, friends, and neighbors have trusted me with their dogs and cats for walks, feedings, playtime, and overnight care. I have experience with dogs of different ages, sizes, and personalities, including senior dogs. I understand that every pet has their own routine and quirks, I’m happy to follow your instructions closely so your pet feels comfortable and cared for while you’re away. My goal is for you to feel completely comfortable knowing your pet is safe, happy, and well cared for. I work full-time Monday–Friday, generally 7 AM–4 PM, but I have some flexibility during the day and am fully available after 4 PM. My schedule is typically very open on weekends, which gives me plenty of flexibility for walks, drop-ins, and overnight stays. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I’m attentive to my surroundings and careful about potential hazards, whether we’re at home, on a walk, or enjoying time outdoors. I’m happy to follow your specific instructions and your pet’s normal routine, including feeding schedules, medications, exercise needs, and any house rules you have. I also understand how important it is to keep doors, gates, crates, and other areas secure. I treat every pet like I would want someone to treat my own, with patience, attention, and plenty of care. I’ll also keep you updated so you can relax knowing your pet is safe and happy while you’re away.
About: My dogs have been my best friends my entire life! For the past 4 years, I have trained and fostered mobility service dogs, providing experience with many tools and training styles. I spent 2.5 years fostering a service dog from puppyhood to placement as a full-time service dog. I also have experience working with dog reactive dogs and puppies. I work in schools during the day, so I will be able to care for your pet early mornings and late afternoons/evenings. I am also available for Friday-Sunday dog sitting. Your dog's safety and wellness will always be my priority! I have a lot of experience and knowledge with dog body language, so I will do my best to keep your pup relaxed and happy. A happy dog is an enriched dog, so I will work to give your dog mental and physical enrichment.
About: As a lifelong animal lover, I grew up caring for a variety of pets including dogs, cats, chickens, fish, a rabbit, and even goats! I started professionally petsitting a few years ago, and love it! I have 1 sassy senior cat that I spoil, and someday I hope to have the space for a couple dogs and a couple cats. For now, I get to love on everybody else’s pets, too! I currently work full-time during the day but I have time before and after work and on the weekends to take care of your critter. Building a relationship of trust with you and your pet as well as keeping your pet safe and healthy is my priority. I’ll be sure to give your pet lots of love and playtime, and I will also make sure they don’t get into anything they shouldn’t!
About: I've had dogs most of my life and handled every dog emergency there is. I have kind and gentle nature and have lot's of experience both pups that have endless energy and older dogs that need a little more help. I work part time from home helping women who are caring for their parents so I'm very flexible and can often even change my schedule to fit yours. I feel strongly that the advantage of having pet care in your home is that they get to keep their routine! So my rule is follow instructions while making sure they feel safe and loved.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone.
