I first met Clara ‘Red Flynn’ several years ago when she was volunteering at Cheatham County Animal Control, and I’ve had the pleasure of working alongside her more recently in her role as Kennel Tech Supervisor. Red is responsible for training new kennel techs and overseeing their daily work, but she’s definitely not someone who just stands on the sidelines—she jumps right in and works alongside them. She has also been trained to evaluate dogs and run play groups, and she has become incredibly skilled at reading canine body language. She has worked with everything from shy, fearful dogs to dogs with fear-based aggression, patiently helping them gain confidence and become the best versions of themselves. Red is hardworking, trustworthy, dependable, outgoing, friendly, and flexible. But probably the best recommendation I can give is this: the animals absolutely love her! She has a genuine way with them and treats every animal as an individual. Without hesitation, I would trust Red to care for my own dogs and cats. I think anyone looking for a pet sitter would be lucky to have her caring for their pets.

We have trusted Red (Clara) with the care of our dogs for close to 10 years. She has cared our large dogs, small dogs, senior dogs, puppies, and everywhere in between. They love her time attention cuddles and play. Red has made herself available for drop ins or walks, but most of the time we use her for longer stays, and she will housesit and stay in our home so our babies have someone wonderful to cuddle up with at night. She’s great with pics and text updates to make sure we feel connected and doesn’t hesitate to ask a question when it’s important. We trust her completely and highly recommend her.
