“Alyssa is a great communicator and very patient with my shy dog. She gave me peace of mind while I was traveling that my dog was well taken care of.”

“Great, responsible and caring dog walker.”

About: Experienced with small dogs in all areas of care. Clean home and surroundings. One on one 24/7 attention and care. Dog must be well behaved on a leash and with commands, potty trained and disease/flee/tick free I am currently retired and have a very flexible schedule to give the right amount of one on one care, time and attention to your pet. I live in a very quiet residence in a seaside community which is great for leashed beach walks and neighborhood walks. My home is very clean, well organized, central a/c and heat.

About: I have grown up around animals and trained my puppies at a younger age. Now, I love walking dogs, caring for them, and making them feel at home! This summer, I am available almost everyday to walk or visit and care for dogs at home. With a day or two’s notice I am able to provide services! I do not have a home in which I can bring dogs to but in the homes of clients I am very aware of boundaries and follow directions with clear attention to detail.

“Christina goes above and beyond to take good care of Juniper, and I can tell that Juniper loves their walks together by all the awesome pictures she shares!”

About: I’ve taken care of my 2 rescue dogs and cat for 10 years. I’ve also volunteered for the Super Dog Adoption events as I am passionate about homeless dogs finding good furever homes. Animals are my passion, particularly pets ❤️. I’m currently working part time and have a lot of flexibility in my schedule. The only afternoons I’m not available are late Mondays and Tuesdays, however I am available those nights. I can take care of your dog in any way you see fit. I can do Drop in visits and dog walks. I can also stay in your home to take care of your dogs but will need some breaks to come home and take care of mine.

“Emma did a great job with our dog, she was on time and communicative and took good care of him, despite his initial anxiety over meeting a new person.”

“Hayley is the absolute best. Our pets love her, and we’ve been using her for some time now. She always goes above and beyond, and leave great notes about each check in.”

About: I’m an RN who loves dogs but unfortunately don’t have the schedule to own one. Therefore, I am always begging my friends to bring their dogs over and to watch them on my days off. I grew up with golden retrievers and sit for my two friends with Bernese mountain dogs- the bigger the better! Love to take them on beach walks and spoil them the entire day! I work long days but I make my own schedule! My days off I am totally free and committed to any task I sign up for! I have a fenced in yard and live in a quiet neighborhood near narrow river! There are no off limits for dogs in my house! Also willing to drive to your location!

About: Lifelong Animal Lover | 13+ Years Experience | Trusted, Loving, Down-to-Earth Care Hi! I’m Victoria — a lifelong animal lover with over 13 years of experience caring for pets and keeping homes clean, safe, and peaceful. I’m based in Wakefield, Rhode Island, where I also run my own cleaning business — so I know how to keep things tidy and tail-wagging happy. I’ve worked in a doggy daycare and grooming shop, have volunteered with horses, and have experience with everything from puppies and senior pets to special needs animals and even reptiles. I’ve been surrounded by animals my whole life, and I treat every pet like they’re my own. Whether I’m house sitting, walking your pup, or dropping in to check on your pets, I bring love, patience, and a calm, grounded energy. I’m gentle but firm — the worst your pup might hear from me is my “big girl voice” (loving, but clear). I’m also great at reading animal behavior, administering meds, and handling routines with care. I currently share my home with three sweet cats, and I totally understand how important it is to find someone you trust. I'm here to give you peace of mind while you're away — and to make sure your pets feel safe, seen, and cared for. Let me know if you have any questions or want to set up a meet & greet. I’d love to meet your furry (or scaly!) family! I currently work from home and run my own business, which gives me the flexibility to adjust my schedule around your pet’s needs. Whether you need early morning walks, mid-day check-ins, or overnight care, I’m happy to work with your routine and create a plan that works best for you and your furry family. Just send me a message with your ideal times, and I’ll do my best to make it happen — your pet’s comfort and consistency come first! Your pets safety is top priority for me. I care deeply for all animals and find that love, patience and understanding is the best approach with all pets.

“Shannon took great care of our two rowdy boys! Our dogs are big and she handled them great. She made sure they had water food and treats before she left too. Highly recommend and will be contacting her again!”

About: I've had my oldest cat for 15 years and my two younger ones for about 10. for the past couple years two of them have started to need medication which I have administered in various forms. I find it ideal to either wrap pills in cheese or a "pill pocket" which is a treat with a space for a pill inside, but I have also used liquid syringes and pill syringes. wether its my own cats or other people's pets I pay special attention that food and water bowls, litterboxes, and frequently used spaces are neat, clean and well attended to. I love to play with animals and pet them as much as they want. I keep my cats indoors to protect them and extend their life span. I also had a dog as a child and I took care of her, she was all my own. she was a big bull mastiff. I would feed her and bathe her and take her on walks. we were "a boy and his dog". Between then and now, I have cared for and greatly enjoyed the company of the pets of my relatives and friends many times, and I am ready to care for your pets with the same types of standards and enthusiasm. Tell me what you need and I will make it unless I'm absolutely booked up. I have a flexible schedule and I am here for you and your pets. I will visit your home and treat you, your pets, and your home with the utmost respect. I am very conscious of watching my step around smaller pets and not allowing any pets to escape out into the neighborhood or anywhere where you do not wish for them to go. I will take your specific care instructions very seriously and write them down. I will keep your dogs safe and happy on walks and in the yard, and I will bring extra water and a collapsable bowl if need be. I will make sure that all of your dogs and cats get their food, water and medicine in a clean and timely manner and I will ensure that all of my interactions with them and with you will be consistently positive.

About: Hey, I’m Lucas! I’m from South Kingstown, RI, and I’ve been around animals my whole life. Right now, I live with two dogs, two cats, guinea pigs, and even some reptiles, so I’m pretty used to taking care of a variety of pets. Currently, I’m a full-time security guard supervisor and a full-time student at URI. While my schedule is busy, Rover allows me to combine my love for animals with the flexibility I need to support myself through college. I’m here to do what I love: care for pets, ensuring they feel comfortable and happy while you’re away. Whether it’s walking dogs, playing with cats, or just making sure your pet is comfortable while you’re away, I’m here to help. I’ve had pets all my life, so I understand how important it is for them to get attention and care. I’d love to meet your furry (or scaly) friends and make sure they’re happy while you’re out! I am a full time security guard and student at URI but I can house/pet sit any night from 8pm-8am. I am also happy to do stop ins, and walks in the mornings. I am very experienced with a lot of animals, and all at once. If you need someone who genuinely cares about your babies I’m your guy!!

About: I’ve been working professionally with animals since 2018, starting with pet sitting and dog walking. Over the years, I discovered a deep passion for understanding canine behavior, which led me to pursue a formal education in dog training. In 2024, I became a certified professional dog trainer and founded my business, Adventure Dog RI, which specializes in adventure hikes and training for dogs. I share my life with a variety of animals—including dogs, cats, chickens, a horse, and a lizard—and bring that same level of care and dedication to every pet I work with. I’m committed to using humane, science-backed training methods and continuously pursue education to ensure the care I provide is always ethical, effective, and rooted in respect for each animal’s individual needs I work part-time as a supervisor at a local pet store, in addition to running my own business, Adventure Dog RI. My day revolves around my personal and client dogs, whether it is feeding time, walks, hikes, or training sessions — I am here for you and your dog! My methodology is deeply rooted in the belief that all animals deserve compassion and agency. With that being said, I never use corrections, punishment, or intimidation with any animals I work with, big or small. When out on hikes, I am always equipped with a doggy first aid kit, bug spray, travel bowls, water, blaze-orange (when required), and well fitted/reliable equipment such as collars, wildlife bells, longlines, and harnesses. When traveling in the car, dogs are always restrained with seatbelts or ride in the safety of a crate. Safety is the #1 priority at Adventure Dog RI!
