About: I have volunteered for years at an animal shelter with dogs of all ages, sizes, and temperaments. I took multiple training courses at the shelter to be able to work with dogs that may need more care and attention, as well as for those that may be more reactive. I have also owned dogs my entire life and have been tasked numerous times with walking/watching people's dogs! I work remotely so I am able to watch your pet anytime throughout the day, and I am able to walk them anytime as I have more flexibility! I also finish work at 3pm so I am completely open after that time. I am experienced with working with dogs of all temperaments, as well as experienced and trained with walking dogs around other dogs, including more reactive dogs.
About: I grew up as a dog owner, so I'm usually taking care of puppies on their first needs and training, cats overnights care and administering medication if necessary. I moved here from Boston. I work 15 minutes away from home and It allows me to stop in the middle of the day to take the dogs out. I live close to 1 park within walking distance 2 parks within less than 5 miles away. At home, I can provide grooming, a lot of love and a good time.
“Hayley is great! She showed up on time and took good care of my little pup who needs a little extra time to warm up to people. Hayley is kind and patient with her and puts her at ease.”

About: I’ve loved animals for as long as I can remember, and have taken care of friends and neighbors pets for many years. I am very punctual and always make sure your pets receive the best care, and lots of love and cuddles. I am currently UVM nursing alum with lots of free time on my hands this summer to walk, feed, play with, and let out pets. My availability should be accurate, but sometimes changes. I always treat other’s homes with care, and ensure to leave them better then I found them. I make a point to ensure every environment is safe and comfortable for pets. Safety is always my number one priority, and I can ensure all pets are safe while under my care.
“Shannon has been walking our German Shepard for a few years and is so responsive, flexible, and knowledgeable, especially with our alarm system and use of prong collar for walking. She always gives great updates, and our dog loves her so much! Highly recommend Shannon!”

“Tallyn helped me out with my dog Cooper when I unexpectedly had to work evenings with very short notice. It was too hot to walk that week so she spent time with Cooper in my backyard giving him some nice shaded exercise. Excellent communication and great pictures of my dog during her visits. I would be very happy to use her again.”

“Belle is lovely! She is so kind, gentle, and patient with our energetic puppy, and has gone above and beyond, even bringing in packages. She has taken him on walks in the rainy, cold weather, which is so appreciated as the exercise is so important for our fur baby even during icky days! Definitely recommend!”

About: Lifelong Animal Lover | 13+ Years Experience | Trusted, Loving, Down-to-Earth Care (As a heads up, my pricing per night for pet/house sitting covers two pets ($86/night 2 pets & house sitting) if you have more than two pets, you can add them via the add on option here on rover for an additional $15/night per pet.) Hi! I’m Victoria and I am a lifelong animal lover with over a decade of experience caring for pets and keeping homes clean, safe, and peaceful. I’m based in Wakefield, Rhode Island, where I also run my own cleaning business, so I know how to keep things tidy and tail-wagging happy. I’ve worked in a doggy daycare and grooming shop, have volunteered with horses, and have experience with everything from puppies and senior pets to special needs animals and even reptiles. I’ve been surrounded by animals my whole life, and I treat every pet like they’re my own. Whether I’m house sitting, walking your pup, or dropping in to check on your pets, I bring love, patience, and a calm, grounded energy. I’m gentle but firm, the worst your pup might ever hear from me is my “big girl voice” (loving, but clear). My job is to keep your pet healthy, happy and safe. I’m also great at reading animal behavior, administering meds, and handling routines with care. I currently share my home with three sweet cats, and I totally understand how important it is to find someone you trust. I'm here to give you peace of mind while you're away, and to make sure your pets feel safe, seen, and cared for. Let me know if you have any questions or want to set up a meet & greet. I’d love to meet your furry (or scaly!) family! As a heads up, my pricing per night for pet/house sitting covers two pets ($86/night 2 pets & house sitting) if you have more than two pets, you can add them via the add on option here on rover for an additional $15/night per pet. I currently work a per diem position and run my own business, which gives me the flexibility to adjust my schedule around your pet’s needs. Whether you need early morning walks, mid-day check-ins, or overnight care, I’m happy to work with your routine and create a plan that works best for you and your furry family. Just send me a message with your ideal times, and I’ll do my best to make it happen, your pet’s comfort and consistency come first! Of course, for the best opportunity for scheduling, please make sure you schedule in advance according to the selected service. Thanks! Your pets safety is top priority for me. I care deeply for all animals and find that love, patience and understanding is the best approach with all pets.

About: I’ve taken care of my 2 rescue dogs and cat for 10 years. I’ve also volunteered for the Super Dog Adoption events as I am passionate about homeless dogs finding good furever homes. Animals are my passion, particularly pets ❤️. I’m currently working part time and have a lot of flexibility in my schedule. The only afternoons I’m not available are late Mondays and Tuesdays, however I am available those nights. I can take care of your dog in any way you see fit. I can do Drop in visits and dog walks. I can also stay in your home to take care of your dogs but will need some breaks to come home and take care of mine.
About: I have taken care of dogs and cats since I was 10, I love to watch my friends animals when they need and am looking to help out with more people! Currently in between jobs right now! I am a URI public health graduate who to spend my time with your furry friends while my schedule is open! I will respect whatever my clients wishes are for watching their animal in their home! I currently do not have availability to care for animals in my own home
“We have been so thrilled with Erica and the care that she has given to our Charlie. She is reliable, trustworthy, and so easy to work and communicate with. Highly recommend!!”

About: I'm pretty new to Rover, but I’ve been caring for animals for most of my life and have experience with dogs, cats, hedgehogs, fish, and other small pets. I’m comfortable with pets of all ages, including seniors, and have experience administering oral medications, handling emergencies, and providing daily exercise and enrichment. I’m happy to schedule a meet-and-greet before services to learn your pet’s routine and ensure they feel comfortable. Whether it’s walks, playtime, or just hanging out, my goal is to keep your pet happy, safe, and well cared for while you’re away. Safety is always my top priority, and I treat every home with respect—often leaving it a little cleaner than I found it. I am working a part time job during the weekdays, usually the shifts are 11am-4 or 5pm, and on the weekends I work longer shifts which vary in time. However... I have many weeks off here and there so I am free a lot of the time. My job is pretty flexible most of the time so I can leave work to walk your pups and make sure they are okay and then go back to work. My yard has an Invisible Fence for my dogs which works out quite nicely and whenever I have other people's dogs over I make sure to keep them on a leash so no accidents happen. That being said, I live with my parents so I would be more geared towards servicing in home visits and stays with your pets at your home.
About: My family are puppy raisers for Guiding Eyes for the Blind, so I’ve had lots of experience with young dogs and basic training (not certified). I’ve house sat and taken care of pets for years and dealt with pets both old and young, and have even navigated vet visits with an old pup after a lightning storm anxiety attack. I go on daily walks and would love to have a buddy! I work 6 days a week usually only from 4:30pm-9:30pm, but once or twice a week I do work a split shift where I go in from 9:30-12:30, and then again at 4:30. I am always free Tuesdays. I’ve cared for energetic dogs who just want to get out and play, and calm dogs who just want a couch snuggle. Every pet is different in their care needs but I’ve given medications, baths, and cleaned up messes for all types of pets.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
