“Sharon was always very responsive and clear when communicating. She was very attentive to our pet who was well taken care of in Sharon’s home. Our pet was happy to explore Sharon’s big backyard. We would highly recommend Sharon to any pet parent!”

“Karen, Chris, and their family were truly the best of the best when it came to caring for our Sunny while we were away on vacation for a week. It was clear from the start how much love and attention they gave him—he absolutely adored them and their dog! He even whined on the car ride home because he didn’t want to leave, which says everything. Karen provided multiple daily updates, which gave us so much peace of mind. It was wonderful to see how comfortable, happy, and well cared for Sunny was throughout the week. We truly can’t recommend them enough and feel so lucky to have found such incredible sitters. Thank you again, Karen, Chris, Abby, Joe, and Charm —Sunny already misses you all so much!”

“We cannot recommend Dana highly enough. From the moment we met her, it was clear how kind, attentive, and experienced she is. She and her adorable pack made our pup feel completely at home. She kept us updated on how she was doing, which put us at ease while we were away. When we picked her up, our pup was happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for. This was a wonderful experience from start to finish, we are grateful for Dana's care, and we would absolutely book with her again without hesitation. If you are looking for a trustworthy, compassionate, and dependable caretaker, Dana is an excellent choice.”

“Our dog, Noddle, is a cherished member of our family; Patricia treated him the same way. From the initial meeting, Patricia's genuine love of and experience with a variety of animals was obvious. Noodle took to her right away. From the photos including walks on the beach and playtime in addition to the messages she regularly sent us, we could tell that he was happy and pampered. We feel completely comfortable and enthusiastic recommending Patricia and will engage her again. She is great. Lucky Noodle. Lucky us.”

“Excellent, Excellent, Excellent!!! Our little furrie friend had a wonderful time and loved his daily walks. Lots of correspondence and pics from Christina to keep us in the know. Could not ask for more ...”

“Karissa is very caring and will love your dogs like her own for the time she has them. She sends pictures at least once a day so you know they’re doing well. My dog had a great weekend while I was away. Would book again if I need it! Thank you so much!”

“Kimberly watched our 3 dogs in her home over a long weekend and our dogs had an absolute blast with her! Since it was our first time booking with her, I asked if we could arrange for her to meet the dogs ahead of time. She happily agreed and came to our home that same day to get to know the dogs and answer any questions we had. As soon as she walked in the door, she sat in the floor with the dogs and they all took to each other immediately! I had no worries at all in leaving them with her and I knew they would have a great time. Kimberly kept me updated about how they were doing and she sent me pictures every day of their adventures on walks or of them playing in her yard. I will happily book with Kimberly again and highly recommend her!”

“Brian and his family are wonderful. We are so happy to have found them and will definitely be leaving our beloved pup with them again in the future! They have a lovely back yard and and their six year-old husky, Jake, was very welcoming to our rambunctious 2 yr old! Buster was sad to leave and was completely exhausted (just the way we like him) when we got home. I highly recommend having Brian care for your pup while you're away!”

“Thank you so much, Erica, for taking such great care of my Max. He really loves being with your family, and I’m so grateful for the love and care you always give him."”

“Kelly was very responsive and accommodating to us when we needed to book a last minute stay for our pup Holly! Holly was taken care of very well and had a great time! We will definitely use again in the future!”

“Yunshu took great care of our pup and would 100% recommend. She sent lots of picture and video updates ensuring us that Butter was settled and being loved on. Intend to rebook at the next opportunity.”

“Birdie had the best time with Chey and her pups! I would highly recommend her for sitting- she communicated, sent great photos, and was so helpful when my flight home got delayed!”

“Thomas was wonderful with our senior dog, Nikko! They went on lots of walks and adventures in the woods and to the beach! He sent us lots of pictures while we were away and we’ll definitely be using him in the future!”

“Kolby is a fantastic sitter! She watched my dog for 8 nights and I felt so relieved to know that he was in such good hands. Kolby is very communicative as well, sending me daily updates with pictures. Thank you, Kolby!”

“Hailey was great! She watched our 2 yr old Charlie girl while we were in Newport for a night. Charlie loved her dog Henri which helped her settle in. Hailey sent lots of pictures and videos. I would definitely book her again!”

“Kim is fantastic, and I my wife and I cannot recommend her more highly. As pup parents ourselves, we are aware that there is little we can do in a review that will convince you to trust Kim sight unseen. Go and see her for yourself. You won’t look elsewhere. You’re welcome.”

About: I have had dogs all my life. I have taken care of all different breads and sizes. I can handle large/strong dogs as well as puppies that need extra attention. We have kids and our own dog (Beira, the Scottish Terrier) so I know how important good, easy care is. As well as patience and attention. I am available during most days for quick care and walks built around school and kid activities. I have my own car and can make the trips or even transport if needed. Overnight care can be discussed as I'm open to it under a week long. I am flexible enough to meet your pet care needs. Basic walks and play, feeding, medicine distribution, and anything else you need. I myself am active so playing isn't an issue or even giving baths.
“I can’t say enough great things about Armitage. They take such amazing care of Kharma every single time. Even when Kharma had to stay really late, they were incredibly accommodating and made sure he was comfortable and well taken care of the entire time. It truly gives me peace of mind knowing he’s in such good hands. At this point, Armitage is the first sitter I call every time without hesitation. I honestly wouldn’t trust anyone else with Kharma. The level of care, consistency, and genuine love they show means everything to me.”

Many sitters in RI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
