We would not hesitate to ask Lissette to take care of house and of our pups again -- the pups would probably be very happy to see her, their new friend.”

About: I grew up with pets and have been dog and cat sitting since middle school for friends, family, and neighbors. In high school, my mom started doing Rover, and I loved coming home after school to a new friendly face every day! I’m happy to go on walks, cuddle on the couch, play in the yard, or simply hang out—whatever makes your pet happiest. I work full-time, but I’m happy to carve out time before work, during my lunch break, or promptly at 5 p.m. to give your pet some love and attention. If you work long hours, need a midday break for your pet, or need help on evenings or weekends, I’m flexible and happy to work around your schedule! I’m happy to follow any guidelines you provide to keep your pet comfortable and on their normal routine. I can accommodate walks of any length, carefully follow feeding and medication instructions, and pay close attention to your pet’s individual needs, quirks, and preferences. She came to our home before our trip to meet us and our girls, ask plenty of questions, and see how the dogs responded to her presence. She is warm and patient, and even our super anxious/epileptic dog took to her quickly (a rare occurrence). She was meticulous in reviewing our care instructions for our needy crew (two dogs on several meds). She texted us pictures while we were away, asked follow up questions, and truly put our minds at ease seeing how much she cared for our girls. About: I grew up with large dogs and cats and have a beloved rescue cat now. As a young person, I housesat, babysat, and took care of animals throughout my neighborhood and my parents’ friend group. I am used to taking care of my family’s dogs when they are out of town. All I need is an introduction and instructions. I am a kind, mature, and responsible person -- a homeowner myself -- and would be happy to take extra care with simple tasks (like collecting mail and watering plants) while I’m checking on your animals. Let me know how I can help and provide peace of mind while you are away! I am currently working part-time from home and finishing a graduate program at UVA so I have a flexible schedule. I prefer early morning and evening checkins/walks (in case I do need to go into work). I can be available to stay overnight if needed. In my client's home, I really want to provide as much continuity as possible. That means emotionally supporting and reassuring your animals and maintaining their schedules and habits with food and medication. It also means fun, a chance for your companions to experience a new friendly face in a safe environment. In my home: My cat is a rescue that came out of a very difficult situation. She is wonderful and we're so proud of how far she has come from the terrified animal we first adopted. I do not feel that she would welcome other animals into our home at this time, however.

About: I’ve always had pets growing up and I have been watching other people's pets for roughly 6 years. I have watched pets of all ages, shapes, and sizes ranging from big to small dogs, elder cats, and kittens. I have cared for pets with all different needs and will care for your pet no matter how "interesting" their routines are! I am a full-time college student with a pretty open class schedule. I am able to watch your pets easily in the mornings and afternoons/evenings and can occasionally do so during the day on weekdays! I understand that every pet has different needs and am willing to accommodate for whatever they need. In the past, I have had many different dogs with different needs and have learned how to care for all different kinds of dogs. I have also worked with many elder cats that need specific medications or routines and have learned how to care for them in their own specific ways.

After the storm, she took my dog out for a walk and did puppy training with her. Kala sent me pictures of my puppy while in her care. My puppy fell in love with her! She is the best!!!
