“We hired Virginia to pet-sit on our hobby farm. We have two large dogs, a feisty cat, three horses, two donkeys, 11 chickens, and bees. Though the horses donkeys and chickens can tend to themselves on a short trip she did watch out for them and gave us updates on the horses and donkeys in the pasture and the chickens. She took time every day to let the chickens out and put them away. All three of our pets requires special attention when it comes to food, including medicine. She was able to take care of all of their needs while we were gone. She is thoughtful and kind. She is thorough and very attentive to updating the client. She took lots of pictures and gave us updates throughout the day. I can’t say it enough about how wonderful it was working with Virginia.”

About: I have been pet sitting for many years, typically with friends and family. I have been responsible for cats (domestic & feral), dogs, goats, sheep, chickens, turkeys, rabbits, ferrets, guinea pigs, guinea fowls, fish, bearded dragons, geckos and even a millipede! I have also worked with animals in a professional setting for 14 years and I have some veterinary assistant experience. I’m happy to handle extra tasks such as retrieving mail, watering plants and even some light housekeeping. I work full time (4 days per week) but can provide morning and evening care most days. On days off, I can be flexible and as available as your pet requires. I will be as candid as possible about my schedule to ensure choosing me is the best option! In a clients home, I follow all instructions given in regard to their pets care. I ensure the pet is comfortable with me before any handling or petting. About: I have always had dogs in my life. My parents chose our first dog, a blue healer, after their honeymoon. I was three. Skeeter and I would tromp through the woods often. We moved to the Middle East when I was 9, and we had to give her to another family, but when we returned, we were contacted by the family: they were moving and wondered if we would like her back. It was a very happy reunion. She passed away when I was 18. In my third year of college, I decided to get a dog of my own. It was a dumb idea because I didn't have the forethought to think about how being a dogowner would limit my housing options over the next 10 years. Baloo was a German shepherd mix. He was a rescue from a Native American reservation in AZ, what we call a "res dog". He and I had several adventures over the decade I could call him mine. He passed away a little over two years ago, and I still miss him now. These days, I am mom to Benedict and Tigerlily. Benny is a sweet old rescue from California. He is likely part pitbull, and part sharpei. He's a sweetheart, super chill with my kids, and loves to walk the trails behind my house. Tigerlily Is a baby baby. The two of them are inseparable. I work from home and have my kids 3-5 nights / week. We love all the dogs and love to take them on walks through the woods and to the park. I provide a chill space where dogs feel like they can relax and trust that someone will come along soon to scritch their ears. I have a great neighborhood for walking and a large unfenced backyard.
