About: I started my journey with dogs 4 years ago and have not looked back enjoying every moment since. I am a certified trainer who loves improving the relationship between human and dog. We have a dog yard plus 5 acres. All dogs stay in our extra bedroom, which is now considered the dog room. I personally have two dogs, a cattle dog and a husky mix. They are both very social with all other dogs. We like to have a good time here but I keep a very safe environment for the dogs, no fighting or picking on one another. NO DOG IS TURNED AWAY. I train dogs for a living so I stay at my house 7 days a week besides when I work with clients and those lessons tend to run about an hour but no more than 2 hours! I have 9 years experience running my own kennel and have two dogs with a large fence so there will be no boredom here! I do prefer to kennel dogs for the night but as we get comfortable with each other they will start to earn more freedom! Pet care is my full time job and i wouldn’t have it any other way, it has been a blessing. I hope I can help make your schedule less stressful! While you’re away, let your dogs play! About: I’ve owned both dogs and cats and have cared for several family members’ pets for over 20 years! I’m a huge animal lover and miss having one of my own. I’m a stay-at-home-mom of 3 kids so I have plenty of time to walk and play! My schedule is extremely flexible and I’m available on weekends. I have an unfenced yard and live 20 feet from the Crozet trail system, right next to Claudius Crozet Park. About: I’ve always had animals in my younger life from cats to dogs, and even though I only have a cat I continue to love dogs. My current housing situation allows me to share dog sitting and caring of his clients dogs (ages 9 months to 14 years) for the last ten years. Since then I have asked my neighbors for tending to the needs of their dogs be it from a 5 mile walk on and off leash to a 100 yard potty break in addition to giving medications. I’m currently working part time three days a week and an occasional Saturday, so I have the time to care and interact for your furry friend. I live in a neighborhood with easy access to the Rivanna trails and a road trip access to a farm with woods in Earlysville for running in fields. I also have a very tolerant cat who actually enjoys dogs staying with me because she’s learned that visiting dogs often get a treat she’s earned one too. My house has hardwood floors on the first floor throughout access to the carpeted lower level is through a door. The dog would have free range of the house while we were at home and unless he/she is accustomed to be crated.
