About: I've been around pets my entire life and have always grown up in a home with multiple dogs and cats alike. Whenever I'm home, I'm the primary caregiver, helping with feeding, walks, exercise, playtime, grooming, and making sure they're happy and comfortable. I've also cared for friends' dogs and cats through drop-in visits, walks, and overnight stays while they were away. As a college athlete, I know how important consistency and responsibility are, and I'll care for your dog with the same attention and love I give my own. I'm currently a full-time student completing my coursework online while training as a collegiate swimmer and track athlete. My practice schedule varies throughout the year, but outside of practice I have a flexible schedule and can provide dependable care. About: I’m an experienced dog owner, hiker, and daily dog walker who genuinely enjoys spending time outdoors with dogs. For more than 20 years, I’ve cared for my own dogs as well as pets belonging to friends, family, and clients. I’ve worked with puppies, seniors, and dogs with special needs, and I’m comfortable following detailed feeding routines, giving oral medications, and caring for anxious or reactive dogs. Since I have a reactive dog of my own, I understand the importance of reading body language, respecting boundaries, and helping dogs feel safe instead of overwhelmed. Most mornings start with several miles on the trail or around the neighborhood with my own dogs, so active dogs who enjoy getting outside fit naturally into my routine. At the same time, I’m just as happy taking things slow with a senior dog who would rather wander, sniff, and enjoy a quiet walk. If your cat would rather sit quietly while I read a book than play, that’s okay too. My goal is simple: when you come home, your pet has been well cared for, and you don’t have to wonder if they were just another stop on someone’s schedule. Whether I’m caring for your pet in my home or yours, I try to keep life as normal as possible. I stick closely to the routine you’ve already established because consistency helps pets feel secure. Meals happen when they’re used to eating, walks happen on their schedule, and medications are given exactly as instructed. I don’t believe every dog needs the same approach. Some want to play nonstop, some just want to sniff every inch of the yard, and some are happiest curled up beside you. I pay attention to what each pet is telling me and let them settle in at their own pace. I also know how reassuring updates can be when you’re away.
