I have a 6year old neutered male Australian Sheppard and a 2 year old indoor/outdoor cat. Both are amenable to sharing their space with new furry friends. I'm an active retiree so I have plenty of time for your furry family members. My dog loves to play with new furry friends or chill and give them space. I have a fenced yard and dog door for in and out privileges. I accept dogs that are crated at night or free roaming. Home is well suited to pets.

We adopted a hound last July and she has had a few challenges, so we looked for a boarding option that would be a positive experience for our dog while also providing enough supervision and calm attentive care so she would feel comfortable. Our pup has become very attached to me because of the many times she was abandoned, so it really took a special touch to help her feel safe right away. Karen’s dog Ginsburg became her pal, and they spent hours basking in the sun on the deck in the backyard. When our pup came home after staying with Karen she was happy and calm, with no added nervousness or reactivity after the change. From our first meeting when Karen and Ginsburg met us for a walk Karen was also a wonderful resource, sharing helpful ideas after listening closely to our specific challenges with our sweet sensitive hound. After our first meeting I asked if we could meet a second time and Karen suggested we meet at her house so I could see how Rosie behaved in her home. This was such a helpful step, and helped me feel comfortable boarding her at Karen’s house. Our dog is dog-reactive and they had ideas for best routes to walk him in their neighborhood. During our trip, they were able to use their intuitiveness to troubleshoot some barking at night. When we picked him up, we could tell he took a real liking to Hy while we were gone. Thanks Hy and Arlo for taking such good care of our guy while!”
