About: Animals have always been a big part of my life, and caring for them comes naturally to me. I've had my own cat for over 10 years, so I deeply understand feline behavior, routines, and the patience required to earn their trust. Beyond that, my extended family is full of cat lovers. I regularly help care for my sisters' cats, including a high-energy Bengal that requires specialized play, enrichment, and attention. I'm familiar with the unique personalities and needs of different breeds and have learned how to tailor care to suit each individual animal. When it comes to dogs, they've been a central part of my daily life while nannying. For the past year, I’ve consistently walked, played with, and cared for dogs of various sizes and temperaments. Whether it’s sticking to a specific routine, managing energy with structured play, or ensuring calm and safe interactions, I always strive to give pets the love and attention they deserve. I’m confident managing multiple animals at once and can read animal body language to ensure everyone feels safe and happy. What sets me apart is the mix of hands-on experience with both cats and dogs, my calm and attentive approach, and my genuine love for animals. I understand that every pet is different, and I take the time to get to know them, meet their needs, and build trust. From playful puppies to independent seniors, I provide care that’s thoughtful, reliable, and personalized. I currently work part-time as a nanny, and that often includes caring for family dogs, taking them on walks, playing with them, and keeping them company throughout the day. When I’m home, I care for my own cat, who’s been with me for over 10 years. Pet care is already a regular part of my daily routine. Starting this fall, I’ll be in school full-time, but I won’t be working a job alongside it. That means I’ll have a flexible schedule and plenty of time to dedicate to pet care, especially on weekends and between classes. I prioritize safety and trust above all when caring for pets, whether in my home or my client’s home. I always follow the owner’s instructions carefully to ensure pets are comfortable and secure. In my home, I maintain a clean, calm, and pet-friendly environment where animals feel relaxed and safe. At a client’s home, I respect their space and routines, keeping everything as familiar as possible for the pet. I’m attentive to any special needs or behaviors, and I’m always ready to respond quickly if a pet feels stressed or unwell. Building trust with both pets and owners is essential to me as I communicate openly and provide updates so owners feel confident their pets are in good hands.

“This was our first time using Rover and we got very lucky to have Ann care for myla. We came home and had a happy dog. The house looked just like when we left and that’s a great feeling . Ann sent several pictures each day and that gave us peace of mind. We would definitely use rover and Ann again 💗”

“I can’t thank bill enough for taking such great care of my dog, tom, who is definitely not the easiest pup to handle! He was incredibly patient, calm, and communicative throughout the entire stay. Tom can be difficult to handle, I was so impressed with how quickly Bill made him feel comfortable and safe. On top of that, he also helped with administering eye drops—which is no small task with my dog! I really appreciated the updates and photos—it gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. Highly recommend, especially if your dog needs a little extra TLC.”

“Danica was wonderful to work with. She stayed at our home and took great care of our two dogs, Cam and Colby. She kept us updated with photos and messages, which was reassuring while we were away. Cam and Colby were happy and well-cared for when we returned, and the house was tidy and secure. Danica was responsible, reliable, and respectful of our space. We felt completely at ease knowing she was looking after everything!”

“My dog and cat loved Stephanie right away. She was punctual, responsive, and kept me updated. She was also very flexible.”

“Holly was easy to work with; she was communicative and prompt and got along really well with our pets. We have both dogs and cats, and Holly took care of all of them at our house. We felt very comfortable leaving them in Holly's care, and we hope to be able to hire her again in the future.”

“Maani was wonderful! From the very beginning, she was communicative, professional, and clearly an animal lover. Throughout the entire stay, I received steady updates and pictures of my pets, which gave me so much peace of mind while we were away. About: I've owned and cared for all kinds of animals my whole life. Professionally, I have experience working as a dog handler, kennel attendant, dog bather, and groomer. I also have extensive experience working and caring for cats, horses, and various small animals. My +3 years working at a dog daycare facility had me safely handling a pack of up to 25 dogs; providing exercise & engagement, soft corrections, and positive reinforcement. To do so, it was necessary to be observant and in tune with the dog's behavior and always on the lookout for any signs of stress or aggression. As a bather and groomer, I was focused on hygiene but a large aspect of the job relied on my knowledge of dog behavior and training techniques. I've owned cats my entire life and have worked with a TNR rescue the past few years getting pregnant females and unneutered male cats fixed and adopted. I also have pet care insurance with animal baliee coverage in case of emergencies. I always care for every animal as if they are my own and I understand how important it is for them to feel comfortable and loved. I work part-time on the night shift, so I'm unavailable Monday through Friday between 10pm and 3am. Outside of that- my schedule is flexible. I am also available on most weekends and holidays. I live in a quiet suburban neighborhood with a very large, unfenced yard. I own a variety of animal care supplies and equipment including lunge-line leashes to keep dogs safely on my property.

“Loraine took great care of my senior dog. She sent daily updates and was on top of her medications and other extra care needs as a senior. Leaving our dog with Loraine gave us peace of mind while we traveled that our dog was in great hands. I would highly recommend her!”

About: I have been around dogs and cats my whole life. My previous dogs were a Dalmatian named Player, a Beagle named Phoebe, a Boxer named Spot, and our current dog Phil, who is a Maltese I love to take long walks, whether in a neighborhood or in the forest preserve, or just sit on the couch and snuggle with a dog or cat. It’s so therapeutic, isn’t it… "I'm currently taking a break from the hustle of the corporate world. As part of my daily routine, I enjoy getting outside for a walk and exploring. Having a dog along makes the experience even more enjoyable. I believe pets are like children. They need to be loved, kept safe and be given opportunities to walk, run, play, meet other pets and most importantly get outside. Our Maltese Phil has a big fenced-in back yard to play in and always has someone to cuddle with him

About: I have grown up around dogs since I was born. I have always loved caring for and interacting with dogs. I do not have my own dog currently, but would love to help care for others! I am currently substitute teaching at an elementary school, so there may be weekdays I am unavailable. I am currently not working full time, so I will be available to walk your dog(s) throughout the week! I am open to walking as far as needed for your pup. I have experience safely walking more energized dogs, so your dog will be in good hands! I have also walked up to 3 dogs at a time (various sizes) if you have more than one that needs to be walked a time.

About: I have taken care of family and friends dogs for the past 10 years. I am comfortable walking, checking in and house sitting dogs as needed. My schedule does change but open to working out something as it comes up. Currently I am unavailable for the most part from 7am -5 pm on weekdays. I have never had any issues with animal sitting in the past and make sure to put in the same care and safety with others pets as my own.

About: I love dogs! I take them on walks, day trips, and I do week-long stays. I’ve cared for multiple dogs at once, including a variety of breeds and ages. I have a little special talent of teaching dogs new tricks! Growing up I have always been told I have a genuine bond for all dogs. Whether it’s a fun walk or a relaxing day, I ensure they’re happy and well cared for. As a college student home for the summer, I have plenty of time on my hands to care for your pets! I love spending time with animals and can easily fit pet care into my daily and weekly routine. I'm available for walks, drop-in visits, and house stays ranging from a couple of nights to even a full week. While there are a few weeks I’ll be out of town, I’m happy to work around those dates and be as flexible as possible to meet your needs! When I care for a client’s pets in their home, I treat them with the same love and attention I would as if they were mine. I follow their daily routine closely, including their feeding, walks, play time, or just sitting with them so they feel safe and comforted. I understand that being away from their family can be stressful, so I do my best to make them feel calm, happy, and loved. I also take care of the home with respect and keep everything clean and in order. I truly enjoy bonding with each pet and always keep the owners updated with cute photos and videos, so they know their pets are in good hands.

“Thais was a great help to my 5 year old lab / heeler mix Bruno. I am a frequent traveler for work so she was able to accommodate my walk and feeding schedule for Bruno very well during the busiest of weeks. Thais is very personable and quickly responded to anything I needed assistance with. She was also patient with my relatively anxious furry friend, which allowed me to feel more at ease when I left for longer periods of time. Would recommend her to anyone needing assistance with their pet!”

Lauren A.
“Oh, what can not be said about Lauren. Her endless love for all animals, attention to detail, and above all else reliability. Horses, dogs, cats, or anything in between. (reptiles yuck :) but that just my opinion). Can't go wrong with this gal.”

“Brett has been so great with our Boxer dog, Jeeves! Our dog is not always the friendliest, but Jeeves immediately took to Brett and was always excited to see him. When Brett comes over, he doesn't just take the time to feed and walk Jeeves, but also plays with him in the yard for a bit too. My husband and I are so appreciative of his help when we are away!”

Cameron A.
“Cameron is very reliable. She has taken great care of my puppy and is always accommodating with short notice. I cannot thank her enough and would highly recommend her!”

Ida C.
“Ida couldn't love pets more! I swear any dog she walks past, is drawn to her. I know she takes care of family friends' and friends' pets all the time. She has pet sit for weekends by staying at the home as well as do simple check-ins on animals if they are home alone for too long. Her love and care for animals pour out of her heart like no other. Ida loves and cares for pets of all kinds including cats, birds, reptiles, and especially dogs! She is reliant, kind, and will drop anything to spend time with an animal over a human... I would know. Regardless, I trust and know her to take care of my chocolate lab. She has played, spent time, and watched my doggo when I need the extra help!”
Indian Head Park pet parents share their Rover experiences
Arianna was the BEST! She stayed at my home to watch my 12 year old dog and housesit. My dog had some digestive issues, and Arianna went over and beyond to clean up the messes. She was in constant communication with me and I would highly recommend her for any job. Very pleased with her and will be happy to provide her a reference!

Cameron did an outstanding job caring for my German Shepherd while I was away. He was attentive, reliable and clearly has a way with animals. My dog was happy and well cared for. I appreciated the daily updates and photos which gave me peace of mind throughout my trip. On top of that the house was kept tidy, and he even went above and beyond by washing the sheets and towels before leaving. I would absolutely use Cameron again and highly recommend his services to anyone looking for trustworthy and thoughtful pet sitter.

Great experience with Jayme! She is very professional, thorough and communicative. She sent lots of updates and pictures. She made me feel at ease leaving my senior pug who is blind and deaf. I will definitely use her services again in the future. Thanks Jayme!

Grant was great with our 10 week old puppy! Casey liked him right away at our Meet & Greet. We're teaching Casey and our friends how to come into the house and not get so excited so that Casey remains calm and on all fours, no jumping up. Grant spent a lot of time playing on the floor with him, distracting him with toys so Casey doesn't bite or chew on clothes. Casey was in great hands!
