I regularly help care for my sisters' cats, including a high-energy Bengal that requires specialized play, enrichment, and attention. When I’m home, I care for my own cat, who’s been with me for over 10 years. Pet care is already a regular part of my daily routine. Starting this fall, I’ll be in school full-time, but I won’t be working a job alongside it. That means I’ll have a flexible schedule and plenty of time to dedicate to pet care, especially on weekends and between classes. About: I've owned and cared for all kinds of animals my whole life. Professionally, I have experience working as a dog handler, kennel attendant, dog bather, and groomer. I also have extensive experience working and caring for cats, horses, and various small animals. My +3 years working at a dog daycare facility had me safely handling a pack of up to 25 dogs; providing exercise & engagement, soft corrections, and positive reinforcement. To do so, it was necessary to be observant and in tune with the dog's behavior and always on the lookout for any signs of stress or aggression. As a bather and groomer, I was focused on hygiene but a large aspect of the job relied on my knowledge of dog behavior and training techniques. I've owned cats my entire life and have worked with a TNR rescue the past few years getting pregnant females and unneutered male cats fixed and adopted. I also have pet care insurance with animal baliee coverage in case of emergencies. I always care for every animal as if they are my own and I understand how important it is for them to feel comfortable and loved. I work part-time on the night shift, so I'm unavailable Monday through Friday between 10pm and 3am. Outside of that- my schedule is flexible. I am also available on most weekends and holidays. I live in a quiet suburban neighborhood with a very large, unfenced yard. I own a variety of animal care supplies and equipment including lunge-line leashes to keep dogs safely on my property.

My previous dogs were a Dalmatian named Player, a Beagle named Phoebe, a Boxer named Spot, and our current dog Phil, who is a Maltese I love to take long walks, whether in a neighborhood or in the forest preserve, or just sit on the couch and snuggle with a dog or cat. It’s so therapeutic, isn’t it… "I'm currently taking a break from the hustle of the corporate world. As part of my daily routine, I enjoy getting outside for a walk and exploring. Having a dog along makes the experience even more enjoyable. I believe pets are like children. They need to be loved, kept safe and be given opportunities to walk, run, play, meet other pets and most importantly get outside. Our Maltese Phil has a big fenced-in back yard to play in and always has someone to cuddle with him

About: I have grown up around dogs since I was born. I have always loved caring for and interacting with dogs. I do not have my own dog currently, but would love to help care for others! I am currently substitute teaching at an elementary school, so there may be weekdays I am unavailable. I am currently not working full time, so I will be available to walk your dog(s) throughout the week! I am open to walking as far as needed for your pup. I have experience safely walking more energized dogs, so your dog will be in good hands! I have also walked up to 3 dogs at a time (various sizes) if you have more than one that needs to be walked a time.

About: I have taken care of family and friends dogs for the past 10 years. I am comfortable walking, checking in and house sitting dogs as needed. My schedule does change but open to working out something as it comes up. Currently I am unavailable for the most part from 7am -5 pm on weekdays. I have never had any issues with animal sitting in the past and make sure to put in the same care and safety with others pets as my own.

I'm available for walks, drop-in visits, and house stays ranging from a couple of nights to even a full week. While there are a few weeks I’ll be out of town, I’m happy to work around those dates and be as flexible as possible to meet your needs! When I care for a client’s pets in their home, I treat them with the same love and attention I would as if they were mine. I follow their daily routine closely, including their feeding, walks, play time, or just sitting with them so they feel safe and comforted. I understand that being away from their family can be stressful, so I do my best to make them feel calm, happy, and loved. I also take care of the home with respect and keep everything clean and in order. I truly enjoy bonding with each pet and always keep the owners updated with cute photos and videos, so they know their pets are in good hands.
