“Great communication, great attitude. Followed instructions just as requested, provided multiple photos, Very nice, personable lady, friendly demeanor. Have already rebooked for next time!!!”

“This was outlet first time leaving our fur babies in the care of someone that wasn’t family. I must say, I didn’t worry ONCE! We got fantastic communication and pictures daily which was so sweet! I won’t hesitate to book with Cynthia again, she was super sweet to our 3 dogs and I was surprised how well they took to her right off the bat! Perfect first time experience!!”

“Alison is soo loving, sweet and compassionate with my Lotus. I appreciate how patient, gentle and reliable she is. She communicates super well and tell me how their entire walks go. She makes me feel at ease knowing that he's in good care with her. She took the time to learn him to ensure their walks go well and that is a plus being that my baby has quite a few rules lol. Im so happy to have come across her.”

About: Hi, I’m Isa! I’ve grown up around animals and have always had dogs and cats in my life, so I have plenty of experience caring for them. I’m comfortable with both and really enjoy spending time with pets, whether that’s hanging out, playing, or just keeping them company. I do Rover outside of my full-time job because I love meeting new pets and it adds joy to my life :) 🌸 Outside of pet care, I like gaming, spending time outside when the weather’s nice, and being with my family. I’d love to help take care of your pet and make sure they feel safe, relaxed, and cared for while you’re away. My schedule can vary during the week since I do work, but I do have flexibility depending on the day and can often make time for pet care visits. I’m especially available on weekends and would be a great fit for weekend pet sitting or check-ins. During the week, I’m still available at times for things like letting dogs out, feeding cats, or stopping by for quick visits when needed. I’m happy to work with your schedule and make sure your pets are taken care of. For me, safety, trust, and a calm environment are really important when caring for pets. I like to talk with owners beforehand to learn about their pet’s personality, routines, and any specific needs so I can provide the best care possible. I really see it as taking care of someone’s family member, so I make sure I understand everything I need to know before spending time with them. When I’m with pets, I always approach them calmly and patiently so they feel safe, comfortable, and understood.

About: While I do not have pets of my own right now, I’ve spent most of life surrounded by them. I grew up living in a farm, so we had multiple dogs and a few cats. Rudy and Bonnie were our two dogs- both border collies. Ever since, I’ve wanted a dog of my own, but living in an apartment doesn’t feel doable at the moment so I’m looking to care for others’ dogs and show them some love 😊😊 I’m currently available all week, so I have plenty of time to look and care for your pups! I also have weekend availability, and potentially overnight care as well. I can come feed, walk, and play with your pets. I am also a runner, so if your dog is up for a run, I could easily take it on one.
“Wonderful experience with Elise! She’s so gentle and kind, and our Mabel (dog) and Grits (cat) were delighted with their time with her! We never worried a moment for their safety. Will definitely ask Elise for help next time we need to leave our fur babies at home while we are away!”

About: My first job was working at a veterinary clinic bathing, grooming, feeding, and caring for dogs and cats. My family had a farm, so I was around pigs, chickens, cows, and horses and I feel very comfortable around all animals. I have had dogs and cats throughout the years and loving on animals makes me happy. I currently dog sit for a friend of mine when she goes out of town and her dog seems to love me. I have recently moved back to Alabama from TN and am interested in establishing some regular clients. When I was in Nashville and worked from home I had a few regular drop in visit clients who I worked with regularly (3 dogs and 1 cat). I own my own business so my office hours are flexible. I live in an apartment, so I prefer to pet-sit in a client's home. This generally allows the animal to feel more comfortable in his or her own surroundings. I can do much of my work remotely, so I can bring my laptop and be able to spend time with your pet and take frequent walks.
About: I have over 20 years experience of working for Veterinarians and have had pets all of my life. I understand the importance of your pet’s health and safety and it is my pleasure to keep them loved and protected. I’m currently working part time and have plenty of time to be one on one with your pet and give them the attention and love they need and want. I’m available on most weekends and holidays. I’m very trustworthy and also responsible. I will tend to any need your pet has and accommodate. I am willing to personally customize any routine or schedule that you have.

About: I care for every dog like family—think loving “auntie” energy with structure and consistency. I create a calm, safe environment, provide regular updates, and focus on helping each dog feel secure, happy, and right at home. I’m home often and build pet care into my daily rhythm, allowing for frequent potty breaks, playtime, walks, and lots of attention so your dog feels comfortable and cared for. In my home, your dog becomes part of the family. I create a safe, cozy, and calm environment with plenty of attention, affection, and structure. I follow their routine closely and provide regular updates so you always feel connected and confident in their care.
About: I have grown up around animals including dogs, cats, fish, and lizards. I work hard to ensure communication is clear and to guarantee that your pets are having the best care possible. My schedule is very flexible and I will work to meet your needs to the best of my ability! I am free throughout most days in the summer. I am very flexible with scheduling. on days when I am available I will be able to check on your pets anytime throughout the day. As a walker, I can ensure long walks for dog's and accommodate them in any necessary means. I have also experience feeding cats, fish, and lizards.
About: I've worked with pets of every age, temperament, and need: energetic puppies, seniors who need a slower pace, and everything between. I'm experienced with oral and injected medications, special needs pets, and routines that keep pets settled while their people are away. When I care for your pets, they're cared for the way you'd do it yourself. I am also open to caring for a broad range of animals, including but not limited to chickens, rabbits, reptiles and birds. Pet care is my primary work, not a side gig, so your pet's schedule is my schedule. As a graduate student with flexible hours, I can accommodate midday drop-ins, early mornings, and house sits of varying lengths. I want to provide the kind of pet care that I personally would be happy to find for my own animals. You know your pets best; I prioritize finding out exactly what your requirements are and diligently following your directions when caring for them. You'll get photos and updates every visit, and if anything ever seems off — appetite, behavior, anything — you'll hear from me right away.
About: I am a medical student that grew up training horses and helping manage a farm (alongside cows, donkeys, rabbits, chickens, goats, pigs, etc) and regularly looking after more traditional pets. Whatever fur children you may have, I will love as if they were my own! Loving on animals is the best study break, so rest assured your fur baby will get plenty of my undivided attention when I’m not needed elsewhere! I cannot host pets at my apartment, but I am more than happy to keep them company at your home! Whether they need walked, fed, or just loved on, I have you covered.

“Jessica was incredible! A true dog-charmer. Pleasant demeanor and kind spirit. Very responsive and reliable. Would definitely recommend her and use her again for my sweet fur-baby!”

About: I have been a pet owner since my growing up years, but have raised kittens, a puppy, rescue dogs and helped my seniors live out their final years comfortably spoiled. At one point, we had 3 senior cats and 2 rescue Chihuahuas all at one time. Now, we have our 12-year old rescue Chihuahua and our almost 2 year old Chihuahua puppy. I'm currently available most anytime for pet care! I have 2 spoiled rotten Chihuahuas of my own and would love to spoil your pets, too! I live in North Huntsville and can get anywhere in town in 10 minutes or less. I have a fenced in yard that is approximately 3/4 of an acre with lots of shade and a covered porch. I have 2 Chihuahuas that are very friendly and love to keep their friends company. I have a finished basement and plenty of space and have several sizes of crates and playpens if needed. I treat other's pets like my own, with love and care and lots of attention!
About: Hi there! I’m August! I’m a stay-at-home mom to my sweet 3 month old, which gives me a flexible schedule and plenty of time to provide attentive care for your pets. Animals have always been a huge part of my life. I recently lost my beloved dog, so while my heart is healing, I’d love the opportunity to spend time caring for other dogs and cats. I currently have two cats of my own and have experience caring for pets with different personalities, energy levels, and needs. Whether your pet loves playtime, cuddles, walks, or simply having a calm companion around, I’ll make sure they feel safe, loved, and comfortable while you’re away. I’m also comfortable caring for senior pets and those with special needs, including administering medications and following detailed care instructions. I understand that every pet is unique, and I’m committed to providing the same level of care and attention I’d want for my own animals. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your furry family member, and I promise to care for your pets as if they were my own. I’m happy to provide updates, photos, and plenty of communication so you can have peace of mind while you’re apart. I look forward to meeting you and your pets! ❤️🐶🐱 As a SAHM, I have a flexible, home-centered schedule that allows me to integrate pet care seamlessly into my day. I enjoy having pets as part of my routine and making sure they get steady attention, comfort, and care throughout the day. I provide care either in my home or my client’s home, depending on the service. In either setting, I focus on keeping pets comfortable, safe, and on their normal routine. This includes feeding, fresh water, litter box or potty care, playtime, and attention based on each pet’s personality.
“Mackenzie did an amazing job with my pups and they both loved having her visit to walk them. One of my pups can be difficult about taking her medication but Mackenzie did great. I will definitely hire her again for my next trip.”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
