About: I’ve had dogs my entire life and love taking care of them. I’m able to go for long walks or just snuggle on the couch, whatever your dog needs. I’m currently a stay at home mom to 2 kids so I’ll have plenty of time to take care of your pets. I’ll be home with your pets the majority of the day when they stay with us. I don’t currently have a fenced in yard so the dogs will have to be leash trained when they stay at my house. We’ll go for long walks around the neighborhood.

About: Hey Y’all, I’ve been dog sitting for over 9 years. The last 3 years I’ve been in the North Huntsville area doing drop ins & overnight sittings. Prior to this I worked at a kennel where I gave daily medications, watering, & feedings. I’ve worked with newborn puppies to elderly dogs, please reach out if you have any questions. Recently graduate- I currently working remote with an awesome job & I have flexibility of my schedule and am able to be over at any time. I would care for your pet as he/she was my own. My job would be to exercise your dog and make sure they have a great day while you work.

About: I have about 4 years of professional pet care under my belt and have been the go-to animal person for friends and family my whole life. I’m also in the beginning stages of my vet tech program so I bring both big-heart energy and growing clinical knowledge to every fur-baby I meet. I’m comfortable with insulin, oral/topical meds, and special-care routines so pets who need a little extra TLC are always safe with me. I adore every kind of personality: the shy pups who need quiet patience, the goofy wiggle-butts who throw their whole body into love, the sweet seniors, and even the spicy little ones with big opinions. They’re my kind of crowd 🐾 Since my vet tech program is online, I have tons of flexibility and am available 7 days a week for drop-ins, walks, and overnights. I love having extra time to play, cuddle, and make sure your fur babies feel safe, happy, and absolutely adored while you’re away! I take safety and comfort very seriously and follow each pet’s routine so they feel secure in their own space. I’m Fear Free Certified, with a deep understanding of animal body language, so I use gentle handling, slow introductions, and lots of positive reassurance—especially for shy or nervous pets. I’m confident caring for dogs and cats with medical needs and always take a calm, gentle approach. In your home, I make sure food and water dishes are clean and refreshed, including water dispensers, and I’m comfortable managing all types of litter boxes, even the finicky ones, leaving your space just as tidy as I found it (maybe with a little extra sparkle thanks to my OCD). And of course, I’ll send plenty of updates so you’ll know how your furry kiddos are doing💛

About: I have cared for my family's furbabies for as long as I can remember, as well as those of my friends and neighbors. I have also owned and cared for beta fish, parakeets and guinea pigs and I am currently raising a flock of chickens. I am passionate about rescuing from shelters and have raised puppies and kittens through their senior years as well as providing compassionate support for those that are terminally ill. Furthermore, I am comfortable providing oral and topical medications when needed. I am currently a stay-at-home wife and mom with two elementary age children and have plenty of time to love on your furbabies, morning, day and night, and take them for walks during the week and on weekends. Your home and pets will be cared for with love and respect, just as my home and pets are cared for while following your directions and expectations.

She makes me feel at ease knowing that he's in good care with her. She took the time to learn him to ensure their walks go well and that is a plus being that my baby has quite a few rules lol. Im so happy to have come across her.

About: Hi! I’m Emma! Dogs have been a huge part of my life since I was 4 years old. I grew up with a German Shepherd mix and a Pit Bull mix, so I have experience with energetic, high-energy dogs and understand the attention and exercise they need. I also have experience caring for senior dogs, and they have a special place in my heart. Whether your pup is young and playful or older and prefers a slower pace, I’ll make sure they feel safe, comfortable, loved, and well cared for. I genuinely love being around dogs and would be thrilled to spend time with yours! I’m a full time touring musician, but I have multiple months in the year where I’m at home and don’t have much to do. I’m almost always available on weekdays, and sometimes weekends. I’m also usually available anytime between 8am-8pm I know how important it is to trust someone with both your pet and your home. ☺️ I carefully follow each pet’s routine, make sure they get plenty of attention and exercise, and always prioritize their safety and comfort. I keep a clean environment, doublecheck doors and gates, and communicate regularly with owners through updates and photos. My goal is to make your pet feel as comfortable as possible while giving you peace of mind while you’re away! 🐾

About: I have been caring for animals for 30 years, starting with my own cats. Most recently I have been petsitting through trustedhousesitters, and I have completed 23 sits in seven different countries over six years. I have cared for dogs ranging from Chihuahua to Pit Bull Terrier, cats from Sphynx to Maine Coon. I petsat a blind and deaf puggle, foster cats that needed medication and strict dietary needs, and many more. I have petsat five dogs on a ranch in Montana for ten weeks during the winter, took care of eight dogs and cats plus street dogs and cats in Cozumel, Mexico, and four show English Cocker Spaniels in Iceland. From my extensive experience I am confident in my ability to care for any and all breeds of cats and dogs. I also love their companionship, cuddles, and purrs! Taking care of pets while I am home in Alabama or while I am traveling is the perfect fit for my seasonal lifestyle. I work temporary events all over the country and in between jobs I travel internationally and hike long trails. I love to visit and explore new places and having a ‘homebase’ and a built in friend (your precious pet) is the best way to have those new experiences. I find that with my solitary wandering lifestyle I miss the companionship of a pet so there are times when I need the affection of animals and receive their unconditional love as well! My intention is to care for pets just as the family does. After going over all the details with the clients about feeding times, walks, litterbox cleaning, etc. I follow their routines in order to stay consistent for the pet and reduce their potential anxiety due to the family's absence.

About: What sets me apart is the level of compassion, patience, and attention to detail I bring to every pet I care for. As a nurse, I am comfortable following detailed care instructions, monitoring for changes in behavior, and administering medications when needed. I understand the importance of routines and strive to keep pets feeling safe, comfortable and stress-free while their families are away. I have experience caring for dogs with different personalities, energy levels, and needs, including senior pets and puppies who may require extra patience, gentle handling and a slower pace. I treat each pet as if they were part of my own family. I currently work Prn at an Alzheimer/ dementia facility as a nurse, so I will have plenty of time to help you care for your fur-babies. Pet care is a consistent part of my daily routine as I have 3 fur babies of my own to care for. I'm organized, flexible and committed to maintaining each pet's normal routine so they feel comfortable and cared for while their owners are away. I make time for quality attention with every visit whether that's exercise, play, companionship or simply making sure pets feel safe and secure. When caring for pets in a client's home, I focus on maintaining their normal routine as much as possible. I will carefully follow all care instructions, including feeding schedules, walks, potty breaks, playtime and medication administration if needed. I will also provide regular updates and photos so pet parents feel confident their pets are receiving excellent care.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
