About: I have been caring for my pets as well as the pets of friends and family for over 30 years. In addition, I have volunteered at an animal shelter for five years. I am very compassionate and experienced with young pets through seniors - both dogs and cats. I am also experienced with differently abled pets (aka disabled) as we had a partially paralyzed dog ourselves. I am comfortable with administering oral and subcutaneous medication as needed. I pride myself on attention to detail. I am currently a stay-at-home wife, and mom of a teenager, as well as one in the military, so my schedule is VERY flexible. I can help you out, morning, day, or night as well as during the week or on the weekends. I will care for your pets with love and compassion just as I do my own while following your directions and expectations. I am comfortable with crating pets as well as free-roam pets.
“Ashlyn was SO amazing to work with! It was my first time working with Rover and she helped explain the process and make me feel comfortable. The dogs absolutely love her and she was fantastic at communicating and sending pictures along the way. Thank you so much Ashlyn, I’ll definitely be rebooking in the future!”

“Our two pups were in great hands with Kai again during our trip out of town. She is very caring and knows each of our boys differences in personality. Having Kai house sit with our doggies makes our trips worry free as they trust her to take care of them.”

“I cannot recommend Jennifer enough! She took amazing care of our three dogs while we were away for a week long trip. She sent pics and updates throughout everyday, took them on daily walks, played outside and spent so much time just hanging with them so they’d feel loved while we were gone. We also came home to a clean house and watered plants 🙌🏼🙌🏼 She’s so great!!”

“Amy stayed at my home and took wonderful care of my dog while I was out of town for 9 days. He is 10 years old and has some medical issues that require him to take medication, she handled this with ease. I do get stressed when leaving him. Amy was very communicative with updates and sent lots of photos which definitely alleviated my stress and allowed me to enjoy my time away. I highly recommend Amy should you be looking for someone to take care of your pet. I will definitely look to book with Amy again when I need someone to care for Napoleon.”

“Elizabeth is great! Our 2 super spoiled fur baby girls took to her immediately. She did a great job keeping them on schedule with feeding, potty breaks, walks, medications and took care of a boo boo that my larger dog created by biting a growth off of her leg. She also cleaned up after herself and made our house look as if she was never there.”

“Ren was very thorough with taking down instructions and asked questions if she needed to. Our dogs, hamster, bearded dragon and tree frog were great when we got home and the house was too. Thanks, Ren!”

“Austin was exactly what we needed for a house sitter! He sent plenty of updates and photos and took perfect care of the animals and the house! Highly recommend him!”
“Aunya was fantastic. She made sure all four dogs were well taken care and even cleaned up as she left the house. She was very responsive and provided check-ins. I would definitely let her take care of my wild pack any time!”

“Ashley was incredible and I would recommend. She looked over our house and puppy as we went out of town. The house was well kept, everything was clean up. She took amazing photos of our puppy.”

“Malia has been fantastic with our nervous shepherd, Selkie. I am very cautious about who I leave her with and Malia handled her fabulously, made sure she had the best time and keep us updated with photos the whole time we were away. It was super reassuring and so happy she could take care of her both times we have been away. Highly recommend and will 100% be calling upon her to pet sit for us in the future!”

“Angelica was great with our pups and our home. Excellent messages/updates/pictures. Walks were good exercise, not just a quick walk for them to pee. We’re looking forward to having her back.”

“Allison is awesome! This was our first time using Rover, and from start to finish, it was a great experience, in no small part, due to her patience and kindness. She is very responsive, and communicated early and often - before, during and after her stay. She was wonderful with our two pups, and they were happy and content when we got home from our trip. Highly recommend!”

“Great dog dog sitter. When I returned from my trip I found she left my home tidy and my dog was healthy, happy and clearly card for. I really enjoyed the pics and vids she sent and would hire her again!”

“Maria took excellent care of my babies and house. She provided daily updates with pictures. My house was left in perfect condition. I would definitely recommend her and will be using her for future visits.”

About: Hi! I’m Emma! Dogs have been a huge part of my life since I was 4 years old. I grew up with a German Shepherd mix and a Pit Bull mix, so I have experience with big and small, high-energy dogs and understand the attention and exercise they need. I also have experience caring for senior dogs, and they have a special place in my heart. Whether your pup is young and playful or older and prefers a slower pace, I’ll make sure they feel safe, comfortable, loved, and well cared for. I genuinely love being around dogs and would be thrilled to spend time with yours! I’m a full time touring musician, but I have multiple months in the year where I’m at home and don’t have much to do. I’m almost always available on weekdays, and sometimes weekends. I’m also usually available anytime between 8am-8pm I know how important it is to trust someone with both your pet and your home. ☺️ I carefully follow each pet’s routine, make sure they get plenty of attention and exercise, and always prioritize their safety and comfort. I keep a clean environment, doublecheck doors and gates, and communicate regularly with owners through updates and photos. My goal is to make your pet feel as comfortable as possible while giving you peace of mind while you’re away! 🐾
“Luna usually isn’t super friendly/interact with other people; however Luna was playing with Shelby. She is also reactive towards other dogs, and she walked her with no incidents. She made sure that Luna ate and took her medications (pill and chew) which she does not like to do when I’m gone. Shelby also sent me pictures and videos of Luna while I was gone. I will 100% be booking with her again if I ever go out of town; it brought me a lot of comfort she was being patient with Luna and got her to have some fun while I was gone! (Luna is a GSD for reference)”

“Savannah is absolutely fantastic! My 4 month old Schnauzer “Cosmosis” is an extrovert and loves everyone, but he ABSOLUTELY adored Savannah. She is a genuine good soul - and he LOVED her to pieces. I have never seen him act that way so quickly before. We will absolutely use her again. Very trustworthy.”

“Ashley is such a warm & caring individual! She looked after our home & furbabies while we were away. Ashley was very communicative, as well as responsive, during our lengthy absence. She is extremely trustworthy & attentive. Our dogs love her! ❤️”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Meridianville
Dorisa provided our pups with the best care we could have hoped for. We hate to be away from them but it was such a relief Dorisa wa looking after our kiddos. She was responsive, provided amazing updates and pictures for us, and had no problem with our deaf pup and his sign language. We have already booked her for another stay and couldn't recommend her enough.

Two, no FOUR paws way up!!! 🐾 Brooklyn was amazing. Communication is fabulous and our rowdy crew just adored her. She’s a lovely house guest, very clean and respectful. We would absolutely 10/10 recommend! Five ⭐️ !! I think my dogs (and cat who hides from everyone … but hung out with Brooklyn) can’t wait for us to leave town again so they can hang out with their favorite sitter!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Meridianville walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Meridianville maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Meridianville choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Meridianville. On Rover:
- 95% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
