“Tyler is wonderful with my dogs! Very professional, sensitive, and kind. My babies are so happy when he comes to get them out of the house for some much needed exercise 3 x a week. I’m so Thankful that he is here to help out. 5 stars!!!”

About: I’ve been around animals my whole life. Indoor or outdoor, I know each animal has a different personality, and I am very patient and understanding when it comes to pets. I’m definitely an animal lover and would love to take care of your pet and provide a positive and enriching experience. Please consider me! ❤️ My primary job is Airbnb management, which is done from mostly my phone, so I have plenty of room to operate off of your time/schedule. I have a fenced in back yard (great for dogs) and a screened in sunroom (cats love it) and am very respectful when it comes to other peoples property.
“Angelica met Lotus for the first time this week by walking him during a last minute scheduling. I can tell that she's so caring and loving. Lotus is very energetic during walks and he pulls sometimes , so that alone tells me that she is very patient. She caters to him and its such a peace of mind knowing someone like her is caring for my little guy. I appreciate her!”

About: I have been trusted to take care of my family and friends’ pets since I have had my own car. Now that I’m old enough I want to start looking after other people’s pets more because they say do what you love. I can’t have any dogs in my own household so I want to take care of other people’s babies the best that I can. I’ve taken off work this summer so aside from picking up some shifts here and there I’m free to love on some pets! I have a couple vacations planned, but I’ll just sit around those. I follow specific instructions and say with the pets as long as my schedule allows. I love to send pictures of the pets for their owners because I know how much I would miss my baby. I make sure I have eyes on the pets before I leave so I don’t close them in a room and notify parents of any weird behavior.

“From the first time we met Katie we knew our pups were in good hands! She’s very knowledgeable about pets and we were confident she would do a great job Katie was punctual for all her visits and went above and beyond what was asked of her. Couldn’t be happier with her service”

About: One thing that sets me apart is my firsthand experience caring for a reactive dog of my own. That experience taught me how important patience, consistency, body language awareness, and calm handling are when working with dogs who may be anxious, overstimulated, fearful, or slow to trust new people. Because of that, I’m very mindful of creating a safe, low-stress environment where pets can feel comfortable at their own pace. I’m experienced with maintaining routines, managing different energy levels, and recognizing behavioral cues before situations become stressful. I’m comfortable caring for puppies, senior dogs, high-energy breeds, and pets who need extra patience or structure. I also know how important communication is to pet parents, so I provide reliable updates, photos, and detailed check-ins for peace of mind while you’re away. Because I run my own special education advocacy business, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide dependable and attentive pet care throughout the week. My work gives me the ability to accommodate a variety of schedules, including daytime visits, overnight stays, weekends, and many holiday needs. I’m able to plan my schedule carefully so pets receive consistent care, attention, exercise, and companionship rather than rushed drop-ins. Flexibility also means I can better adapt to pets with specific routines, medication schedules, anxiety needs, or extra potty breaks. I care for pets by focusing on keeping their routine as normal, comfortable, and stress-free as possible. In a client’s home, I make sure pets receive plenty of attention, exercise, playtime, bathroom breaks, fresh water, meals on schedule, and affection based on their individual personality and needs. I understand that many pets feel safest in their familiar environment, so I try to maintain the routines they’re used to while also keeping the home clean, secure, and well cared for. I pay close attention to behavior, body language, and energy levels so I can adapt care appropriately, whether a pet needs active play, mental stimulation, quiet companionship, or extra patience. My experience owning a reactive dog has made me especially mindful about creating calm interactions and respecting each animal’s comfort level and boundaries.
“We are so grateful for Katie loving on and walking our dogs! She’s wonderful and caring, and timely. She loves our dogs like her own. Definitely recommend to anyone looking to board, walk, or have her babysit your furbabies!”

Since I'm a bit too busy to own a pet right now, I’m looking for a rewarding part-time gig to fill that void by caring for yours! I have a lot of love for both cats and dogs. I am looking to care for animals in conjunction to my current job. I am available for visits and walks Friday-Sunday. Caring for pets on my off days will be fulfilling and an enjoyable way to spend my free time. As far as caring for animals I can follow the instructions given. About: I joined Rover full-time in 2023. Prior to Rover I had been pet sitting for friends and family occasionally for at least 5 years. I absolutely love taking care of all kinds of animals. Cats, dogs, bearded dragons, bunnies, frogs, anything really. I have experience taking care of senior and disabled cats and dogs. I have also taken care of many dogs that are considered reactive. I don’t have experience with very young puppies but I have taken care of a few older puppies. Since this is my full-time job, I am willing to accept requests whenever I’m available. I do require meet and greets prior to accepting new clients. For all services, I will be sure to follow whatever instructions are provided to me. I do ask that you please give me clear instructions so I can work to the best of my ability. For dog walks, please provide me with a map of the route you usually take.

About: I have four dogs and three cats of my own. One is a senior dog who is blind a deaf so I understand certain care a lot of dogs may need. I’ve taken care of many different types of dogs, big and small. As well as many different pets like snakes, hamsters, guinea pigs, and fish! I’ve grown up with different kinds of pets my whole life but mainly dogs and cats. Having four dogs of my own and three cats, it can be quite a hassle but overtime I’ve gotten used to routines and the specific care each animal needs! In my own home, my dogs are crated when I leave except for my senior dog. My dogs and cats have specific routines for their food, so special requests and even giving pets their needed medications if they have them is very familiar for me. With this many animals I understand the importance of routine and how to look after each one. I’ve always treated other people’s animals as I treat my own with love and care. I also love going on walks so I don’t mind dog walking at all! As for cats, I have three litter boxes in my home so I don’t mind cleaning those either.
About: I’ve taken care of all kinds of animals from the craziest and goofiest to the more relaxed and calm! Experience in pets with special needs, senior pets, and “aggressive” breeds. I truly enjoy spending my time with animals and I would love to be there for them! I work full-time remotely so I’m not away all day. My schedule is flexible and being there for your pets will always be my top priority. I can walk, run, and play with your pet! All animals get lots of love! I can follow strict instructions for pet care including household rules.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
