“From the first time we met Katie we knew our pups were in good hands! She’s very knowledgeable about pets and we were confident she would do a great job Katie was punctual for all her visits and went above and beyond what was asked of her. Couldn’t be happier with her service”

“Angelica met Lotus for the first time this week by walking him during a last minute scheduling. I can tell that she's so caring and loving. Lotus is very energetic during walks and he pulls sometimes , so that alone tells me that she is very patient. She caters to him and its such a peace of mind knowing someone like her is caring for my little guy. I appreciate her!”

“So far so good. Steven showed me he new what he was doing yesterday when I introduced him to my dog Huxley. I had just adopted Huxley 3 weeks ago. Huxley came from a neglectful home and has never been properly socialized. He bolts when people approach him. Steven handled it like a champ, he got down on his level, talked to him in a calm gently voice. Offered treats and just pet him and showed him he is not a threat. He eventually unclipped the leash and Hux stayed right there. I highly recommend Steven!!!”

“She was absolutely wonderful! So sweet and caring, and Buttons loved her right away. I felt completely at ease knowing my pup was in such good hands. You can tell she genuinely loves animals, and that made all the difference. Highly recommend! 🐾💛”

“My regular walker had to cancel last minute due to an emergency and Karla stepped right in! She texted me with any concerns (ie lack of poo!) and went out of her way to help! She gets two paws up!!! 🐾”

“Five stars isn’t enough! Tyler has been absolutely amazing with my dogs, Cuper and Dash. He walks them three times a week for 30 minutes, and every time they see him, their tails go wild with excitement. It’s clear he genuinely cares for them — he’s reliable, kind, and has built such a great bond with both of my pups. I have total peace of mind knowing they’re in such good hands. Tyler is truly a gem, and I can’t recommend him enough!”

“Kyla has been so patient and thoughtful with our pup Maisie, and she’s been great to work with! She took the time to earn Maisie’s trust, and now they’re able to enjoy walks around the neighborhood. Very glad to continue working with Kyla!”

“She is amazing!! I highly recommend her if you need a dog walker. One of my dogs is afraid of people and very shy, he warmed right up to her very quickly, I was shocked. She is great with my dogs! Definitely will use her again the future.”

About: My passion for pets and their mental well-being started early. Since 2019, my dad and I have volunteered at animal shelters, walking dogs and house training them to help them find loving homes. Now, as a college freshman, I’m continuing my mission to give back to the community and support animals as they grow. With two dogs of my own I trained and experience raising a litter of puppies, I understand how important it is for pets to feel safe, loved, and engaged. When your pets are with me, they’ll get more than just care—they’ll enjoy fun agility activities, positive interaction, and, most importantly, safety. I am currently a fully time student, along with involved into on campus clubs and volunteers at the Hospital, but, I still make time to take care of animals at my local animal shelter. Your pet’s safety is my top priority. My home provides a secure, pet-friendly environment where your furry friend can relax, play, and feel at ease. I ensure all spaces are free from hazards, with secure fencing and locked gates for outdoor activities.
About: I grew up with my family dog (mini schnauzer) and now have an orange tabby cat of my own. I’ve pet sat for several lovable pets through the years and am always excited to have the opportunity to meet and take care of dogs and cats alike! I’m currently in between jobs, so I have lots of time to care for pets and help with other household tasks that might be needed. When caring for pets in someone’s home, I follow all necessary instructions on meeting all of their needs. I focus on safety and comfort, as I do with my own pets.

About: I have been babysitting since I was 14 years old (I am now 19 years old). Along with children, I also took care of family pets. I have two of my own dogs who I take care of and love so so so much!!! Lastly, I have been a camp counselor at Special Session, a summer camp experience for adults with disabilities, for 5 years. I am CPR Certified and First Aid Certified. I am a full-time student at the University of Alabama, but I am looking forward to a summer full of taking care of sweet pets! I will be available pretty much all day on weekdays to be of assistance. I am open to travelling to your home as well as hosting your sweet pets at my home. I have two sweet, older dogs who will keep your babies company and a fenced in backyard with plenty of room to play.
“This was outlet first time leaving our fur babies in the care of someone that wasn’t family. I must say, I didn’t worry ONCE! We got fantastic communication and pictures daily which was so sweet! I won’t hesitate to book with Cynthia again, she was super sweet to our 3 dogs and I was surprised how well they took to her right off the bat! Perfect first time experience!!”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
