“I booked for 30 minutes a day for Cynthia to look after my sweet kitten, phoebe. Just to make sure she said food, water and a clean liter box. Cynthia went above and beyond in care. As a pet owner, we all want to feel comfortable that we are leaving our pets in good hands, I definitely felt this with way Cynthia. She provided pictures, videos and feedback on my cats behaviors. Thank you so much, Cynthia. I truly look forward to having you as a pet sitter again.”

“Nancy Kate was great with our dogs. Was initially a bit nervous leaving all 3 our dogs, but felt at ease soon with her check ins and pictures. She took good care of our dogs and we would use her again”

“I got pictures and a full report daily. My dog looked very happy and well cared for. She was happy to see us return home and we had no issues. Madison communicated really well and promptly even with all my crazy instructions.”

“Cortney was amazing ! She went above & beyond to be with my pets while I was away for a days. She sent pictures & let me know how things were going . Your fur baby will get more than just a sitter — they'll get a trusted companion who’s got their best interests at heart. I currently work 3 days a week, each week my schedule varies regarding which 3 days Monday-Friday. Weekends and nights are available for late/night shift workers. “Olivia was an amazing sitter! She took such great care (and pictures) of Matilda. We loved seeing her updates and were never worried about our fur baby while we were away. Olivia is a rockstar!”

“I could not have asked for better care for my cat while I was gone. Juyne took great care of him and communicated so well that I never had to wonder about the big fluffball. Thank you so much to you both, Juyne!”

“Austin was great at the meet and greet. He took notes and ask good questions. He has performed several drop ins and is learning how to work with my dogs. They can be difficult because they are afraid of new people but he is patient with them. We really appreciate his time and effort.”

About: I’ve cared for dogs and cats for friends and family, including overnight stays, daytime drop-offs, and extended stays. I’m usually the first person people ask for a sitter given that I work remotely! I’ve had pets, both dogs and cats, all my life. I absolutely love animals and treat any as my own. I’m caring, patient, and will definitely give your babies all my love!! I work remotely, so I’m home throughout the day and have a flexible schedule that allows me to give pets plenty of attention and care. I can easily work regular potty breaks, meals, playtime, walks, and cuddles into my day. Given this, I have full availability all week! I have a 1,500 sq. ft. apartment, so there is plenty of room for your furbaby to comfortably roam and play! I share the apartment with my partner, Liam, who is a huge animal lover and very friendly with pets! I’ll always be the primary and sole caregiver for your pet, but he’ll be around the apartment here and there during their stay to give some extra love. :) My community also has an on-site dog park, multiple grassy areas, and paved walking trails, giving us lots of options for potty breaks, walks, and playtime. 🐾 In a client’s home, I’m respectful of their space and follow their instructions and their pet’s normal routine closely. Regardless of where I’m caring for your pet, I make sure doors and gates are secure, pets are appropriately supervised, and they have plenty of opportunities for potty breaks, play, and rest. I’ll also provide regular updates and photos throughout your pet’s stay so you always know your furbaby is safe, happy, and doing well! ❤️
“Colleen was great with our two dogs, Brodie and Sara. She came over prior to the trip and met both dogs and reviewed our wishes in detail. She was prompt each day and we received a report on each visit to include a picture of both dogs. When we arrived home Brodie and Sara were happy and playful unlike when we pick them up from the kennel and they look emotionally and physically beat down. We will be using Rover and Colleen for our future needs.”

About: I have taken care of my childhood Doberman pincher up until he passed away for over 7 years and currently raising my 3 going in 4 year old mini Australian shepherd dog that I got back in 2022. I am able to keep up with the energy levels of these dogs minus running and love to go on walks and allow them to sniff their environment. I have administered different medications to my own dogs minus injections and can handle taking dogs to emergency rooms and waiting with them for long periods of time. I currently work full time and unavailable from 5am - 4pm Monday - Friday. I am available after that timeframe for drop in visits from 4:30pm -9pm and on Saturdays I am available from 7am - 7pm and on Sundays from 10am - 6pm. For pet sitting services I would prefer if your pet is able to be alone for up to 12hrs during the weekdays and 6hrs on the weekends. This is not a normal pet sitting schedule but I can be utilized as a backup alternative to your normal sitter. Sometimes my schedule can change and I will notify you before if anything changes. I do not board pets due to my apartments restrictions, but available to drop in and conduct 2-3 walks when you are out of town and can crate your dog in your residence if needed. I can also play and provide stimulation with your dog during my visits. I may have to bring my dog on some walks and drop in visits but if there’s a negative interaction I will refrain from bringing my dog along on walks and drop in visits.

“Karla was great! She was easy to get a hold of, kept me informed, and was very reliable. My cats loved her, especially after she found the cat snip spray that I forgot to tell her about. Lol. I think she even watered my plants for me once, which was very thoughtful.”

About: I have several years of hands on animal care experience through shelter volunteering and working as an animal caretaker. I’ve given medications, prepared specialized diets, monitored behavior, and helped vet teams with procedures and blood work. I’ve also taken shelter dogs on walks and even on road trips, so I’m comfortable handling different temperaments, energy levels, and new environments. I’m Fear Free certified, which means I focus on keeping pets calm and stress free, and my biology background helps me notice small health or behavior changes quickly. I’m patient, gentle, and comfortable caring for pets of all ages, including seniors or pets who need extra attention. Pet care fits easily into my routine because I keep my weekdays open specifically for bookings. I’m available Monday - Friday from 6am to 10pm, which lets me accommodate early morning walks, midday visits, and evening care. I like keeping a structured schedule, so I plan my day around the pets I’m caring for to make sure they get consistent attention, exercise, and on time feedings. I focus on keeping pets safe, calm, and comfortable in their own environment. I follow all care instructions exactly, including feeding routines, medications, and activity levels. I’m very attentive to behavior and health changes, keep spaces clean and secure, and always make sure doors, gates, and leashes are handled carefully. My Fear Free certification means I use gentle handling and low stress approaches so pets feel safe and trust me while you’re away.

“This was our first time using Rover and the first time our pets were going to be cared for my someone other than family so I was very nervous. Amber did an excellent job explaining Rover's policies and procedures. She made my fur babies feel so loved during the meet and greet and calmed my anxiousness. Our pets were very well cared for during their drop in visits and we will definitely book again!”

“Jazmin is great! She’s very communicative and takes great care of my boy. He’s always so happy and calm when I come home. She makes sure he potties, has plenty of water, and lets me know how he did. She even took on an additional day last minute. I would recommend her to my friends and family knowing she really cares for my baby!”

We had such a great experience with Angelica! She took wonderful care of our pets while we were out of town and gave us so much peace of mind knowing they were in good hands. She was dependable, communicative, and sent us updates and pictures throughout our trip, which we really appreciated. We came home to happy, well-cared-for pets and everything exactly as we left it. We’ll definitely be using Angelica again and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring pet sitter!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
