About: I would regularly dog-sit throughout my three years in D.C., and now I’ll be in Huntsville for the summer and already volunteer at a New Lease on Life each week. I have a soft spot for Cavaliers and Cocker Spaniels, but lived with a Black Lab for two years as well. Can’t wait to meet your pups too! Most of my availability will be in the mornings and early afternoons during the week (think: after you leave for work and before you get back). I’m happy to take your dog on walks (weather-permitting, no hot pavements should burn any paws!) and play/sit inside as well. Barking and younger pups don’t bother me at all, but I prefer small-medium dogs since I’m on the short side myself. The black lab I lived with would sometimes take me for walks (to be fair, he was very strong).
“This was our first time using Rover and the first time our pets were going to be cared for my someone other than family so I was very nervous. Amber did an excellent job explaining Rover's policies and procedures. She made my fur babies feel so loved during the meet and greet and calmed my anxiousness. Our pets were very well cared for during their drop in visits and we will definitely book again!”

“Nyah is amazing - don't hesitate to book her! The dogs really felt comfortable around her immediately and she handles them so well. She's always checking in with me and sends me updates. Very professional and I really appreciate her help. If I need someone in the future, she'll be the first person I reach out to.”

“Cortney was amazing ! She went above & beyond to be with my pets while I was away for a days. She sent pictures & let me know how things were going . She is a great person & I enjoyed getting to know her . I will definitely have her check in with my pets again!!! What a wonderful relief to know my fur babies were in great hands .”

“I absolutely fell in love with Leah. She got great pictures, I knew my pets were in great care and that’s always a positive when traveling. I would absolutely book with her again.”

“INCREDIBLE PET SITTER! I've lived in multiple states and she's the best I've had by far. She went above and beyond to take care of my floof! I'm so grateful. Just the best!”

I am CPR Certified and First Aid Certified. I am a full-time student at the University of Alabama, but I am looking forward to a summer full of taking care of sweet pets! I will be available pretty much all day on weekdays to be of assistance. I am open to travelling to your home as well as hosting your sweet pets at my home. I have two sweet, older dogs who will keep your babies company and a fenced in backyard with plenty of room to play.
About: I have several clients and I love watching other people pets while they are away, and want to make sure your pet still gets love I love to send updates, and pictures so you know how your sweet babies are doing and so I can keep you in the know. Your babies will be in great hands and I will give them lots of love while you are gone. I do work Full Time for the Rocket City Trash Pandas as their Merchandise Coordinator I will walk them, give them lots of cuddles and love, and they can even sleep in the bed with me if you allow it

About: I have several years of hands-on experience caring for dogs in both group and individual settings. I regularly cared for up to 7 dogs at one home, managing feeding schedules, outdoor time, and making sure each dog got attention and proper care. I also have experience with overnight pet sitting, ensuring pets feel safe and comfortable while their owners are away, as well as taking dogs on walks and keeping them active. I’m attentive to each pet’s needs, routines, and personality, and I always prioritize their safety and well-being I currently work and babysit, but I maintain a flexible schedule and can adjust my availability as needed. I’m able to plan ahead and make time for pet care, including walks, drop-ins, and over nights as needed! Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I always take the time to understand each pet’s routine, behavior, and any special needs to ensure they feel secure and cared for. I create a calm, clean, and safe environment, and I’m attentive during walks and visits to prevent any sticky situations. I follow all owner instructions carefully, including feeding schedules, medications (if needed), and preferred routines. I also provide regular updates, photos, and communication so you can feel confident and at ease while you’re away. I treat every pet with patience, love, and respect—just like they’re my own.
“Cynthia did an awesome job watching our three dogs. Communication was great, she sent lots of pictures and did exactly what we asked her to do. I highly recommend Cynthia if you need someone to watch your pups! We will definitely use her services again.”

About: I grew up with my family dog (mini schnauzer) and now have an orange tabby cat of my own. I’ve pet sat for several lovable pets through the years and am always excited to have the opportunity to meet and take care of dogs and cats alike! I’m currently in between jobs, so I have lots of time to care for pets and help with other household tasks that might be needed. When caring for pets in someone’s home, I follow all necessary instructions on meeting all of their needs. I focus on safety and comfort, as I do with my own pets.
“Cynthia went absolutely above and beyond in her brief time with my little cat. Initially I told her that he’s very shy and I won’t blame her for just coming in to check his food and water then heading out but she gave her best effort to actually try to connect with my cat and create trust. On top of that she gave me some very helpful advice for working with his little personality and how to help him be more at ease. I can say with immense confidence that I will be working with Cynthia in all my cat care needs going forward!”

“Absolutely amazing dog sitter! Kind, reliable, and attentive. Our dog was happy, well cared for, and clearly loved every minute. The regular updates gave us peace of mind while we were away. Highly recommend! 🐾 Thanks Alison !”

Emily was great! She cared and loved on our dogs during a quick, unexpected trip. Emily gave us a peace of mind while we were away, kept us updated at every visit, and sent us pictures of our fur babies. We will absolutely use her for our pet sitter again if she will have us. Thank you Emily!!

Tyler goes above and beyond and really helped my pup when I left for a long business trip after a recent move. My dog was having a hard time adjusting and me leaving didn’t help. Tyler was patient with him and got him to cheer back up to his normal self. It really eased my worry! Highly recommend! Very kind and professional.

A pet sitter can provide focused care sessions, help your pet’s routine stay on track, or keep you updated on your pet’s mood and energy levels.
Whether you’re at the office for the day or traveling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer potty breaks during a Madison stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.
Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover to what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Madison choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
To find sitters in Madison with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
