“Savannah was fantastic! She responded to my request super fast and even offered to bring in mail and packages. Plus she sent me pictures each day. I highly recommend booking with her!”

“Ten was fantastic with my 2 fur babies who need to be fed 2x a day. Even my very shy cat came out to see her. Will absolutely be booking with REN again. Excellent visit notes as well.”

“Theresa was a fantastic cat sitter for our new cat. She was very communicative for the entire stay and it was clear that our cat was being taken care of and given the attention she needed. Our usually shy cat quickly warmed up to her which made gave us more peace of mind. We will definitely be using Theresa again.”

“Cynthia always makes us feel 100% comfortable our 2 dogs are well taken care of whenever we leave town. She is also a dog behaviorist and works with our dogs when she does drop in visits to help reinforce proper social behaviors. One of our dogs is a senior and requires multiple medications and can be super finicky. Cynthia is always a pro at giving meds. We appreciate the extra effort!”
“Amy was wonderful in keeping us updated on our three cats while we were out of town for a week. She spent a little extra time with them that left me reassured that they were in good hands and even befriended our nervous/shy cat! Would highly recommend and looking forward to using her services again!”

“AnaMaria has been coming by to play with our golden retriever while we are at work and she has been absolutely amazing!! She always sends plenty of photos and updates. Our dog is very high energy and she is so good with him and even brought over a tennis ball for him. Would highly recommend AnaMaria to care for your fur babies!”

“Cynthia was the BEST! She did a wonderful job with our 2 cats and house while we were out of town. Her communication was perfect. We would highly recommend and will be using her again.”

“I’m so grateful for the care Kanese gave my dog while we were away for a week. She was reliable, communicative, and clearly cared about my pup’s well being. I loved getting photo updates and could tell my dog was happy, comfortable, and well taken care of. It gave me real peace of mind knowing she was in such good hands. Highly recommend!”

“Jennifer was great. She stayed for the allotted time even though my Honey was to shy to come get some loving. She sent proof of eating pictures so I knew she was eating.”

About: I grew up with 3 big AKC Labradors in the house and my dad bred puppies. They were so much fun and outdoorsy. As I grew older, I transitioned into the lap dog world and now I can't imagine it any other way! Our kitty cat and our pup play and sleep together. We love cuddle time and playtime and everything in between! I work from home on a flexible schedule so it's not a problem to take frequent potty or play breaks. My two are usually sleeping or playing in my office while I’m working. We have a fairly spacious house, and I keep doors closed on any rooms that are off-limits for dogs/cats. We allow animals on the furniture and my dog sleeps in the bed with me. The only reason the kitty gets crated at night (in her cushy crate), is that she will jump on my face while I'm sleeping if she isn't contained lol! We have a nice neighborhood to take walks in if your pets like that. My dog is always willing to play with them as well!

“Becky is amazing with our special rescue dogs. She gives lots of pets and treats and loves on them just like their her own. We feel our dogs are safe and well cared for and highly recommend her.”

About: From a young age, I have always had a deep love and appreciation for animals. Throughout my life, I’ve cared for a variety of pets, including bunnies, hamsters, guinea pigs, turtles, dogs, and cats. Being around animals brings me genuine joy and fulfillment. As a dedicated pet parent myself, I understand the importance of providing attentive, compassionate care. I treat every animal as if they were my own, ensuring their comfort, safety, and happiness at all times. Whether administering medication, maintaining feeding schedules, or offering extra affection, I’m committed to meeting each pet’s individual needs. My experience includes walking dogs, providing personalized attention, engaging in playtime, feeding, and offering companionship to help pets feel secure and loved while their families are away. As a stay-at-home pet mom, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to give your pets the dedicated time, care, and attention they deserve each day. I live in an apartment, so I don’t offer pet sitting in my own home, but I’m more than happy to care for your pets in the comfort of their own home. I believe animals feel most secure in their familiar space, and I always do my best to make sure they feel loved, safe, and well cared for while you’re away.
“Olivia was an amazing sitter! She took such great care (and pictures) of Matilda. We loved seeing her updates and were never worried about our fur baby while we were away. Olivia is a rockstar!”

“Mollie you are amazing with the animals and perfect with daily updates and care!!! Would definitely recommend you to anyone and for sure will be requesting you in the future :)”

“Colleen was great with our two dogs, Brodie and Sara. She came over prior to the trip and met both dogs and reviewed our wishes in detail. She was prompt each day and we received a report on each visit to include a picture of both dogs. When we arrived home Brodie and Sara were happy and playful unlike when we pick them up from the kennel and they look emotionally and physically beat down. We will be using Rover and Colleen for our future needs.”

“Rebekah did a great job dropping in on our pups while we were away! They loved her as soon as they met her! She is very responsible and trustworthy! We will definitely use her again when traveling!”

“We got daily photos for our two Maine Coons…2 visits per day and Felicity was great! Reliable even when there was a lot going on personally she still came in and cared for our babies morning and evening, and she took our last minute booking due to a problem with a different Rover sitter she was able to do do the meet and greet prior and our cats seemed to take a liking to her and it showed as the days went by that they enjoyed her coming in for the visits! We were appreciative for her being company for the 2 of them and spending time feeding and playing with them and just “being” here when we could not be! Got amazing report card pictures which made us smile so thank you very much!! We missed them terribly! But you were here for our babies!!”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Capshaw. On Rover:
- 86% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 92% can help with giving oral medications or injections

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
