About: One thing that sets me apart is my firsthand experience caring for a reactive dog of my own. That experience taught me how important patience, consistency, body language awareness, and calm handling are when working with dogs who may be anxious, overstimulated, fearful, or slow to trust new people. Because of that, I’m very mindful of creating a safe, low-stress environment where pets can feel comfortable at their own pace. I’m experienced with maintaining routines, managing different energy levels, and recognizing behavioral cues before situations become stressful. I’m comfortable caring for puppies, senior dogs, high-energy breeds, and pets who need extra patience or structure. I also know how important communication is to pet parents, so I provide reliable updates, photos, and detailed check-ins for peace of mind while you’re away. Because I run my own special education advocacy business, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide dependable and attentive pet care throughout the week. My work gives me the ability to accommodate a variety of schedules, including daytime visits, overnight stays, weekends, and many holiday needs. I’m able to plan my schedule carefully so pets receive consistent care, attention, exercise, and companionship rather than rushed drop-ins. Flexibility also means I can better adapt to pets with specific routines, medication schedules, anxiety needs, or extra potty breaks. I care for pets by focusing on keeping their routine as normal, comfortable, and stress-free as possible. In a client’s home, I make sure pets receive plenty of attention, exercise, playtime, bathroom breaks, fresh water, meals on schedule, and affection based on their individual personality and needs. I understand that many pets feel safest in their familiar environment, so I try to maintain the routines they’re used to while also keeping the home clean, secure, and well cared for. I pay close attention to behavior, body language, and energy levels so I can adapt care appropriately, whether a pet needs active play, mental stimulation, quiet companionship, or extra patience. My experience owning a reactive dog has made me especially mindful about creating calm interactions and respecting each animal’s comfort level and boundaries.

She provided great care to our 3 dogs, all of which require their own unique specialized care. She administered oral medications as well as topical medicine for skin ailments. Maria was wonderful!! About: Being a past owner of a beautiful border collie mix (the pup in my profile) my skills for high energy dogs and keeping up with their schedules became a necessary skill. I love animals in general, but dogs have captivated my heart. I do well with timid, aggressive, and let's be honest stubborn dogs. I love being outside and walking around town with an adorable dog on my side. This is so I can get some puppy love back in my life and help you with spoiling and exercising your fur baby when your schedules get a little busy. I'm looking to get more experience caring for others' animals to maybe someday extend just a service into an actual business. I want your animal to be treated on the same level as you would be treated checking and staying at a hotel. I know how important an animal is to a house hold, and how as much as we would love to stay and play all day life calls. Let me keep your mind at ease when it comes to your 4 legged family member. I am a Stay at Home Mom. I am up before the sun and find myself finding places to walk with my little one. Somedays we go adventuring with our German Shepard or just enjoy playing with him in our backyard. Weekends we spend in town with our family. Not many days where we are not too far from Madison or Huntsville. I have two cats and a German Shepard so coming to your pets' comfort place is the best means of me taking care of your animals.

About: I’ve always had dogs growing up, and while my parents are away I go over and house sit and take care of their dogs. I also watch my neighbors dogs while they are on vacation. I’m currently working part-time and will be finishing up my college semester. During summer I will have a lot of free time during mid-day to check in on your babies! My dogs are like household members so I treat them with respect and give them lots of love. I take them out, and take them for walks when needed and they love to go for drives (especially when it ends with pupcups.)

About: I have take care of many different pups of all breeds and personalities. This includes my own, family and friends, volunteering at shelters and even the local dog wash. I'm currently starting school part-time so I'll have plenty of time to walk, take care of, and play with your pets! I'm mostly available with flexibility and depending upon my schedule, some days I'm fully free! I'm very cautious in following instructions and needs of any pet. I'm good at keeping pups at a good walking pace, I love playing with pets to keep them active, and I'll set extra timers and keep set schedules for your pet's eating habits.

About: I’ve been walking dogs and dog sitting for family and friends since I was 10. I am a certified veterinary assistant and have experience in the clinic. I have been held responsible for walking, feeding, watering, and grooming pets in the past. I am currently working in the er 2-3 days a week. I work 12 hour shifts and will put unavailable unless the client approves me checking in before and after work. I am a college student but my classes are online so I am easily flexible and can complete my school anytime and anywhere. When pet sitting I like to stick to a routine the dog is familiar with as it is already stressful for them when their family is gone. I will play with them and take them on walks if that is something your dog enjoys.

“My husband and I have 2 sweet baby girls! One of them has severe anxiety with other people and the other will be your BFF! ? We decided to go the beach last minute with my in-laws. This was the longest we have ever left them. From the first moment I communicated with Amanda, she was very detailed and put my mind at ease about leaving my babies. She came for drop-in visits and stayed over time caring for and loving on our dogs! She sent pictures and videos at every visit and ensured they had fresh water and food.
