Pet Sitting in Howard Beach

About: Me and Mel are newlyweds hoping to care for local animals. We telework full time, own no pets, and are both in the tech industry. We’re new to the area, but not to pet care. Combined, we’ve grown up with 4 dogs, 2 bunnies, a gerbil, and a cockatiel. We’re excited to meet you and the member/s of your family! Me and Mel both telework and can both be available to ensure your best friend is cared for. We don’t own a pet. We customize our hours at our primary jobs and have a car. We have commitments on Wednesdays and Sundays. We are open to coming to your location! We have a 600 sq ft apartment 3 blocks from a dog park and 2 from a Petco. The neighborhood is a quiet residential area. We have no children or pets. There are other pets in the apartment building.

About: Animal care is my biggest passion. I’ve recently graduated college with a degree in biology, where I often volunteered at shelters for animal care experience. I’ve taken care of cats, dogs, and even birds and turtles for as long as I can remember. My friends and family know they can rely on me when away for vacation to drop in and play with their pets, keep their pets company, and walk and feed their pets. I don’t think I’ve ever met a pet that doesn’t like me! So I’m so excited to help those in my community with animal care. I work on call only part time, so I’m available most hours of the week and some weekends. I would prefer early mornings or evenings, but I am ready for anything! In my clients home the first thing I do, in the case of a dog, is take them for a walk as it might’ve been hours since they’ve last been out. Sometimes I will let them in the yard if it is late at night, but I find longer walks will use up all their energy so they can nap well until the next time I pop in. Then it’s time for food and water refill, which if they’re reluctant to eat, I will wait with them to make sure they at least eat some. Then it’s play time/enrichment time where I try to get the last of their energy out. If I’m watching cats, I’ll feed them first and as they eat is my time to clean out the litter box. Cats also need tons of play time, so after they eat I’ll find any toys to keep them entertained for my time there. The hardest part for me is leaving them!

About: Hi! I have been a veterinary nurse for over 20 years in multiple practices in queens and Manhattan. When it comes to animals ,I think ive had them all.I started my journey of petcare/vet med at the age of 15. It was the one thing in life I knew I was destined to do and I've never looked back. I cant wait for you and your pet to join our fan club! Currently a stay at home mom while kids are in school as i havent returned full time just yet . Very flexible schedule and can accommodate just about any situation /schedule Watching your pet in my home, Your pet will be treated like one of the pack.I have 2 golden retrievers who loves everyone! Safety and making your pet feel right at home if my number one priority.

About: I have worked for over 10 years part-time for companies dog walking/pet sitting , 2 for which were in NYC. I am a true animal lover at heart and believe with a passion in treating others pets as my own! Pets are family in my eyes , they should be happy to see whomever cares for them and enjoy their time with their sitter or walker. I have walked and cared for All breeds from Great Danes to Chihuahuas as well as cats and birds. Ive owned 3 dogs Rockz is a very sweet dog loves to cuddle and play . I work from home so pups will be supervised the whole time. We go for 3 walks a day minimum around neighborhood for boarding/day care. i have a beautiful back yard space with grass and trees that is perfect for pups to play . I Do own a car so i am able to drive as far as Greenpoint or Williamsburg for dog walking visits/ drop offs or pick ups (additional fee) . I Also use the car to take trips the park or the beach with the pups with owners permission. I have special experience administering medications for pets and over 15 years experience with bully breeds in particular. Feel free to message me with any questions , Hope to hear from you! We do breakfast and morning walks around 9-10 am it can be done earlier if needed then a late afternoon walk and evening walk . the back yard access is always open as weather permits Trust is key . I like to keep to the owners updated as much as possible . since routine is import for pups to have. I like the pups i watch to have fun and enjoy their time with me . lots of affection if they like . I perfer to have meet & greets before the pups will stay overnight . day care or a walk is normally ok with 24 hour notice

About: I have taken care of pets from friends and family since I was 10 years old. Overtime, I have developed an ability to make dogs and cats feel at home and welcomed through proper time and attention, the key for anyone and any animal to feel loved. Changing wet pads, showering and bathing pets, running and playing with dogs, and cuddling with animals are second nature to me and I have years of experience doing each. Currently, I am working full time 9am-5pm during the weekdays. Outside of those hours, having the pet come with me on outdoor activities when weather allows and staying inside to lounge around are common. I usually see it as an excuse to keep active during my sedentary office lifestyle. Time in = trust out. Building trust and making your pet feel safe and sound is one of my main priorities. In order for that bond to exist, consistent attention and care is needed. From proper feeding, regular walking, and rigorous playing, pets in my care will return back to you in good spirits.

About: I love looking after pets and getting to know each of their unique personalities. I think animals make the world a better place by being here. They teach us about patience, love, loss, and growth. The great thing about all pets is they're all different in their own way and they all offer love. I have two cats at home, who are pretty low maintenance, they need plenty of love and play time. I dedicate every day more than an hour to each cat to make sure they feel loved and entertained. It obviously entertains me as well! Patience and looking for warning signs are very important. Taking time to communicate to the pet owners of any concerns is also a priority if that is the case. I think a good line of communication is super helpful. Getting to know the pets is helpful too.

About: Dogs have been an integral part of my life since I was born. Growing up in a family of dog lovers I have had the joy of caring for many dogs apart of my family for years. My mom even has a tattoo of her late husky which highlights the deep connection we have to our dogs. I’m currently working part-time so I am able to take care of dogs after work and even on weekends ! I am very flexible when it comes to times. In my home, pets are treated as cherished family members, receiving the utmost care and attention. I ensure they have a comfortable and safe environment, providing cozy beds and plenty of toys to keep them entertained. Their feeding schedules are meticulously followed, with balanced and nutritious meals tailored to their specific needs. Regular exercise is a priority, with daily walks and playtime to keep them active and happy. I also focus on their grooming needs, keeping them clean and well-maintained. Most importantly, I provide plenty of affection and companionship, ensuring they feel loved and secure at all times. Whether it's cuddling on the couch or engaging in fun activities, I make sure every pet feels at home and cared for.

About: I volunteer at Bobbi and the Strays animal shelter for the last couple of months. I love dogs and had my own until he passed. I am self employed so I dictate my own schedule, I have a backyard and a car to take your dog to the park (if you'd like!). I work for myself so lots of free time! Honestly, I work an average of 2-5 hours a day and can give your pet lots of play and care time. I live in my own place with a balcony and backyard! I'm not worried about your pet having the space they'll need with me, my apartment has two bedrooms.
