Safety, trust & environment
By default when I walk your dog, I avoid other dogs for the safety of your pet. Please inform me on the meet and greet day if there is certain dogs your dog and you know that is ok for interactions. I've been in two dog attacks so far and both dogs qere unharmed due to my methods of protecting my clinets dogs from incoming unleashed dogs that may or may not attack.(body block and pepper spray) I take extra care with puppies as well... Puppies will be puppies eating or chewing stuff they shouldn't. Any personal items I have, I keep in the room you designated me in. I adore puppies so no issue in constant supervision 🤣❤️ Cats ofc will get just as much safety precautions depends on how naughty your cat is and activity level
Ratings and reviews
I rarely leave negative reviews, but I think other pet owners should know about our experience. Ariel watched our dog, Rosie, for a week, and unfortunately I can't recommend booking with her. Communication was a recurring problem. One of our expectations when booking through Rover is receiving regular updates and photos. After the first three days, we had received minimal communications, photos and updates about how Rosie was doing (and had to ask for them each time). We also noticed that our Furbo camera was unplugged, even though Ariel had said beforehand she was comfortable with us leaving it on. When we reached out to ask why the camera had been unplugged, Ariel explained that her phone charger was broken and she needed to use the outlet and the charging block. She also shared that she didn’t have money for food. We let her know where extra phone chargers were located in the house and told her she was welcome to use the pasta and rice in our pantry. She replied that there wasn’t any sauce or beans. Although providing meals wasn’t something we had discussed beforehand, we ended up sending groceries to our apartment so she would have food while staying at our house. In return, we asked that she keep the Furbo plugged in and send more consistent updates, which only slightly improved. Rosie's routine also wasn't followed. Before our trip, I explained that Rosie normally eats breakfast around 8a.m. and goes on a 30-minute morning walk. There were multiple days when Ariel slept until noon and wasn’t replying to us, which meant Rosie didn’t receive breakfast or her first bathroom break until about four hours later than usual. Ariel also told us that the heat made it difficult for her to take Rosie on longer walks. While I understand the weather can be challenging, it is July, so there is no doubt it will be hot and would have appreciated knowing beforehand if that would limit her ability to provide Rosie’s normal exercise routine. Another concern was Rosie’s diet during the stay. During the week, Ariel let us know Rosie had vomited and wasn’t feeling well and wouldn’t eat her food. Because we were away, I tried to help troubleshoot possible causes and asked what she was giving Rosie to eat, outside of her normal meals. She made it seem like she was just giving her a few treats, but maybe too much peanut butter. Additionally, Ariel used all of the peanut butter we had in our apartment and asked if she could get some more. We of course told her she could. Once the PB was acquired, she informed us that the total was $22 and sent her venmo. We sent her the money for the (expensive) peanut butter but when we got back in town, we saw that the PB she bought was only $9. When we returned home, we discovered that nearly two containers of treats and half a large container of peanut butter had been used during the week. I suspect the excessive treats contributed to why Rosie was feeling sick. She continued to have little interest in her meals, was unusually lethargic, and spent most of her time lying in her bed. Rosie is normally very energetic and playful and loves earning treats through the Furbo, so the change in her behavior was very concerning. She is still recovering and has not yet returned to her normal appetite. To Ariel's credit, she left the house clean and stripped the bed as requested. But the inconsistent communication, the departure from Rosie's normal care, and the concerns around how she was fed made this a disappointing and very stressful experience and vacation. I would not book with Ariel again.

Ariel had agreed to care for Luffy for both Tuesday (June 23) and Wednesday (June 24), we had an advanced meet and greet and pleasant discussions throughout the day on Tuesday. She was roughly 20 minutes late from her start time on Tuesday morning (8am) though she did make up for his at the back for which we were appreciative. However, we were shocked to learn, at 7:07 am on Wednesday (June 24) that Aerial had cancelled the booking. We have been using the Rover service since last November and this is the first time any sitter has done so with zero advanced notice and explanation. It is disappointing as we had counted on the sitter and had scheduled our day accordingly. It demonstrates a lack of care and accountability.

Ariel went above and beyond with her care of our sweet cat and dog. They both immediately loved her. She provided us with updates that kept us reassured our fur bbs were in good hands. She even cut our dog’s nails and gave her a bath. We will definitely be booking Ariel for another stay.

This is the second time Ariel has cared for Biscuit. She is responsive and a wonderful caretaker for our dog.

As usual Ariel is amazing, I have had her watch my large dog Luna and she loves the time she spends with Ariel. She gets plenty or love an treats while I am away. I can enjoy my time away from home knowing Ariel is there taking care of things. Highly recommend and will be booking her again soon!

Our dog was in great spirits when we came home and Ariel left our apartment super clean. We really appreciated her easygoing attitude and how much she understands dog behavior!!
