“Our collie, Logan, and ourselves, too loved Kathryn and her big back yard. Her 2 dogs, Arlo and Smoky, were great hosts. Logan had a fun time and came home happy and content. We are looking forward to many more daycares and boarding soon.”

About: I have not been an official sitter before, but I have been a dog owner for 20 years and know how much trust it takes to leave your dog in someone else’s care. Dogs are family, and I understand the importance of making them feel safe, comfortable, and loved. We do not currently have any fur friends at home, so we would be honored to share that love with your dog. I provide a calm environment, pay attention to routines and needs, and communicate clearly so you can feel confident while you’re away. Because we do not currently have pets at home, we have room in our routine to give your dog plenty of love, attention, and companionship. We can be intentional about feeding, walks, potty breaks, playtime, and rest, and we know how important it is to keep dogs on a routine that helps them feel safe and settled. We know dogs are family, so we care for them with patience, attention, and genuine love. Our home is currently without other pets, which allows us to offer a calm environment and focused care. We will follow your instructions closely, pay attention to your dog’s comfort and behavior, and communicate clearly so you know your pet is safe and well cared for.
“Ralph is amazing with dogs. He took care of my dog in a pinch and very last minute and he not only was flexible but also very kind and loving to my dog. My dog took to him right away, dogs know dog lovers! His updates and pictures he shared of my dog throughout the day showed a happy puppy! My dog came home and just slept, he exercised so much with Ralph. I will definitely hire him again for doggy day care and boarding.”
“Lindsey was so accommodating when we had to leave Oreo (our Shi Tzu) with her for 4 days. She has a Chihuahua of her own and both of them became friends. I would recommend her for your pet day care.”

“Brooke is so kind and sweet and my pup loved her - I definitely felt like he was in good hands while she watched him for the day. She is quickly responsive to text messages as well. Great experience!”

“Sheena and her family are the best! Stella had a wonderful stay, all the communication was great, she was surrounded by loving family and had a great time. Everything was very well organized, and super easy from our point of you.”

About: I have 14+ years experience in the veterinary field. Learning about animal behaviors, preventative care and physical health is a passion of mine. I am a very well rounded animal enthusiast that loves to stay busy. Some of my extracurriculars include training my Australian shepherd, whether it’s dock diving, agility or overall obedience. I will hold each pet to standards that support good manners, so some training may be associated with my services. I strive to exercise your fur babies intellectually as well as physically. I am very detailed oriented, and consider myself very observant. I’m not afraid to communicate and ask questions regarding your pets’ needs. I would be caring for your pet around my typical work schedule, which is M-F ~8-6pm, but I can always drop in mid day during lunch. Communicating your expectations so I may practice proper time management is important for a successful and stress free pet sitting job. I have a very well socialized 5yo male, 50lb, Australian shepherd, Oshie and he loves to play. Additionally I can provide walks, and play sessions. Hikes are also supported.
“We’re so grateful for the excellent care that Shankar and family took of our cockapoo Mochi! They were great communicators- sending frequent photo and video updates of Mochi enjoying the beautiful, grassy, fenced-in yard, sniffing chickens (on the other side of the fence), playing with their dog, and snoozing on the couch. It was clear Mochi had a great day and that they are true dog lovers. We’ll definitely be back when we’re in the area and highly recommend them to all!”

“Jo is extremely communicative towards the pawrents and loving toward the pups. We definitely appreciate all the photos of our pup and the reports at the end of the day. I would 100% their services as their space is lovely and the care is exceptional!”

“When we found Michael on Rover.com, we were at our wit's end. Our 8 year old German Shepherd, Minna, was used to staying with her "grandmother" while my husband and I worked. When grandmother passed away in November, Minna shared in our grief, because she loved her as much as we did. Eventually we had to go back to work, so Minna had to go to the local large scale dog center full time. She'd been there many times before for socialization or training classes, but only for a few hours at a time. But now she was full time, week after week, during COVID when there were not enough staff for her to play with (she likes humans more than dogs!) and being with up to 24 other dogs and only 1 human was too much for her. The place was great, but it was not longer the right place for Minna. She was terrified every morning we dropped her off. Until someone recommended Rover.com! I did some researching and just couldn't find the right match close enough to our home/work. Then one day, Michael's name popped up and he sounded like a perfect fit. Plus, he was only 5 minutes from where we worked! I was skeptical because it sounded too good to be true, but we scheduled a meet & greet with Minna and Michael. We fell in love with him right away and new he would be great for Minna. The tough sell would be Minna, as she was still in "depression mode" and was scared and reluctant about new things. But within a minute or two, Michael had won her over too! After 2 or 3 days, Minna was no longer scared to get into the car. No more shaking going towards the house. It was all I could do to hold her back long enough to get the leash on her! She would RUN to the door to Michael's house every morning. That was in March and 4 months later, she is still just as smitten as she was then. She sees him 5 days a week and she's never been in better spirits, in better SHAPE, or happier. As an added bonus, she's actually enjoying playing with other dogs now too! Michael keeps his daily dog count pretty low, so each dog gets lots of individual attention. He sends me photos of Minna in action throughout the day - playing with a new friend, being a goofball, or just cuddling with him after a long walk. He takes them for walks every day, they pig pile on the gigantic doggie bean bag for cuddle time (with Michael usually on the bottom getting kissed to pieces! LOL!), he's got a wonderful, fenced-in back yard, kiddie pools for the hot days, lots of toys to play with, and a bottomless well of patience, love, and attention that he doles out on each dog in his care. This is truly his calling. You can tell how much he enjoys the dogs just by seeing his face light up when they arrive to see him (and vice versa!). I cannot recommend Michael highly enough. He literally saved our dog's life and our sanity. She was so depressed and anxious and NOW she's almost like a puppy again at 8 years old! She is so happy and MUCH healthier and it's all due to Michael and his wonderful dog-whisperer skills. We just love him and so does Minna!!”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 823 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Hollis. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Hollis commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
