“Abhay has been doing drop in visits for my dog for the past 3 weeks. During this time, he has been excellent with communication and following care instructions for my dog. He has been respectful of my property while caring for my dog and I have no complaints. I am comfortable having him do drop in visit care.”

About: I have taken care of dogs and cats ranging from puppies to seniors. owning two cats myself and have owned a dog previously i am fun loving and charismatic to the needs of the individual I work 7-3 but am able to go for walks before and after, during the evening, and anytime on weekends. i am willing to take a range of walks from short quick walks to long walks. I care for my pets in my home by cleaning up after the litter box and walks, feeding regularly, and providing lots of love and pats.
“This was my first time using Rover. It's clear Nina is a pro! My pets are usually wary of any new faces and mostly hide from strangers. They warmed right up to Nina and were well taken care of. She's the best!!”

“Shannon is AMAZING! She agreed to take my Charlie out after a few sitters turned me down due to timing. She is reliable, punctual and dependable. I have peace of mind knowing Charlie is in good hands with her. She also takes great photos of Charlie :).”

“Jessica was amazing~ she really gave me such peace of mind while I was on my trip. Great communication with daily video and photo check ins. Such a vibe, thanks for watching Ezra for me~”

“Elizabeth was amazing! She left detailed feedback along with photos every-time she was with my dogs. She cleaned up any messes that were there and made sure they were truly taken care of. I will definitely use her in the future.”

“Nicole was wonderful! We left our cats in her care for over two weeks, and she couldn't have been more thoughtful, responsive, and conscientious. One of our cats had some medical issues right before our trip, so I was especially nervous about leaving them, but she immediately put us at ease. She was incredible attentive and patient, especially when it came to giving them treats/meds, and was very communicative throughout the entire trip, which we really appreciated. On top of that, she handled everything that came up (hairballs, a litter robot hiccup, and the general chaos of four cats) without any issues and kept things running smoothly. It made such a huge difference knowing they were in such capable hands. We came home to happy, well-cared-for cats and would absolutely book her again! Highly recommend :)”

“This was the third time we’ve had Josephine take care of our kitties in the past year and I have nothing but positive things to say. She’s super attentive, writes detailed notes and goes above and beyond to help us out with little tasks around the house while we’re gone like bringing in packages and other odds and ends. She’s always super patient when the cats are feeling anxious and shy and I would not hesitate to use her again in the future. She’s a wonderful pet sitter!”

About: I have experience working with dogs and cats through pet sitting and hospital experience. I have owned dogs for the past 16 years, chinchillas for the past 5 years, and hedgehogs for the past 7 years. I am able to detect symptoms and abnormalities that may require medical attention. I enjoy bringing my pets to a variety of places such as state parks, pet stores and public pet events. I am available most weekdays and weekends. I do not mind staying over for overnight care. My time is pretty flexible for now and I am able to drive to locations within an hour radius using my own car. I have a finished basement that would be used for the pets I care for. It has a bathroom with a hand held shower for easy bathing. I have a crate available for use for dogs under 30 pounds. The basement also has direct access to the back yard for easier potty times. The temperature in the basement is cool during the summer. In the winter the temperature would be adjusted using an electric fire place. Dogs would get enrichment through daily walks, puzzle toys and trick training. Cats would have access to the whole basement to free roam but will not have access to outdoors.

“Wonderful person to watch my cat! Followed all of my instructions and my cat, who is very shy, actually came out and started to interact with her by the end of the visit.”

“Isabelle was fantastic! She was quick to respond and take on a last minute request to drop in and take care of my two dogs. She was very nice, asked questions to make sure she knew everything to take care of them, and was communicative during her time with my dogs. I felt very comfortable leaving my dogs knowing she was watching them. I will definitely reach out again for future bookings.”

“Juliette is everything we needed - friendly, responsive, on time, caring to our fur baby, and communicative. She also took some of the best pictures of Chessie we've ever seen! It was fun to see the pics every day. We had peace of mind when we were away and are looking forward to having her cat sit again.”

“Rachel was great— very communicative, sent pictures with every check in & we felt very comfortable with her watching over our 3 dogs while we were out of town for the holiday. Would love to use her services again!”

“Jiaming has watched our cats many times and we are so thankful for her! She always leaves us detailed messages and pics to keep us updated and she is always on time. We are grateful we have a sitter to rely on when we’re out of town. I would highly recommend Jiaming.”

“Justyna was excellent! She took very good care of my two fur babies. She gave medicine to my kitty and even shut the windows and turned on the ac when I asked her to over the rover app. Justyna is very friendly and easy to talk to. I definitely would recommend Justyna.”

“Kristen was so kind and helpful! Pre-planning was a breeze, and all of the visits started on time and ended with cute photos and updates that reassured me that my kitties were well taken care of. I’ll definitely be reaching out in the future.”

“We are so happy to have found Carleen! My dogs loved her immediately, which made me feel completely at ease. The actions shots of their play time had me laughing as I could see they were all having a fun visit. It’s such a relief to know they’re getting a break while I am at work.”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
