About: I've always loved dogs and cats and felt very passionate about them. I have two years animal shelter experience taking care of dogs and cats. This included feeding several different types of foods and diets to pets, ensuring pets' safety, cleaning cages and kennels, cleaning litter boxes, and taking out dogs into the yard. I am available most days and times every week to care for your pets. I offer mostly drop ins and I do have exceptions like I will be going on vacation this month so just message me within one day to request a booking. I look forward to meeting you and your pets! I pay attention to dogs and cats body languages to ensure their safety needs and emotional needs are met. I let pets come to me first so that they can feel comfortable and safe around me. I treat every pet with respect and if they do not want to say hi yet, that is totally fine with me I will feed them and clean litterbox, etc and they will warm up to me eventually. I watch puppies and young dogs very carefully so that they do not get into trouble and I always make sure the floors are puppy/dog proofed.
“This was our first time using a service and Michele was fantastic ! My social butterfly kitty came out day 1 and the shy, reclusive sisters came out day 2 - for scritches and play ! Hasn't happened for family, so I think we've found a keeper !! She did a great job and kept us posted on activity. Thanks Michele !”

“Need someone last minute. John responded promptly and was very communicative during his stay since it was his first time looking after my dog. Took him for a pee break and a little walk and gave him treats and my dog looked happy. Very pleased. Thanks!”

“Kim was so great and accommodating! Super responsive and on time to let our little 10 week old Pomsky out and hang with him for a little visit. She took so many cute pictures and provided a little report after each visit. I will definitely be using her services moving forward. Thank you Kim!!”

About: As a former veterinary receptionist, I’ve had 3 years of experience helping care for dogs and cats. Now pursuing art, I’m looking to continue to help take care of pets. I’m currently working on pursuing my art career, so my schedule is pretty open for drop ins or walks. I’m occasionally available for in-house pet sitting. In the part few years, I’ve developed a real heart for animals. Pet care is so important, giving a voice to those who can’t speak.
“Samantha is such an amazing cat sitter! Even though we hadn't needed her support in a while, she and our cat picked up right where they left off. She loves on our cat as if she's her own!”

“I went in a two week trip and my cats were so well cared for! Plenty of pics and videos and coming home to happy and healthy animals gives me such peace of mind. Will definitely be booking with you again!”
“Abhay has been doing drop in visits for my dog for the past 3 weeks. During this time, he has been excellent with communication and following care instructions for my dog. He has been respectful of my property while caring for my dog and I have no complaints. I am comfortable having him do drop in visit care.”

“Diana did a really nice job caring for our two kitties whilst we were away on vacation for two weeks. She insured they had enough food (and adjusted as needed), water, brushed our long haired Kitty, scooped the litter boxes, and played with them both. She also went above and beyond by bringing in our mail daily and also a few packages that arrived. We really appreciated Diana’s attention to detail and the wonderful daily updates she provided on Rover. It gave us peace of mind that our fur babies were in good hands and well cared for so we could enjoy our vacation. I highly recommend Diana. She’s a sweetheart. Thanks so much, Diana!”

About: Hello! My name is Andie and I work at VCA South Shore Hospital in ER, ICU, Neurology and Internal Medicine as a technician assistant and have prior TA experience at Old Derby Animal Hospital. I recently graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. I previously went to the University of Arizona for 3 years studying animal sciences and transferred my junior year to return to the East Coast. I also have some experience with a handful of farm animals from my time at the UofA. Additionally some of my experience comes from working on home farms taking care of horses and alpacas; all of this meaning my knowledge of animals is extensive to give the best care for your furry friends! I have always had the passion for animal care and medicine which is why after graduating I will be continuing my schooling to be a CVT and hopefully someday a veterinarian. A few years back I had participated in boarding through Rover, but after a hiatus I decided to come back to continue with walks and drop in visits because even outside of my main job I love to be around animals! We have a small family dog, but other than that I have rescue retired racing greyhound, Moose, who has travelled far and wide with me. My pets also include many fish, a leopard gecko, chickens and ducks! All this being said, I would absolutely love the opportunity to be alongside your best friends and scratch the itch to spend as much time with animals as I can! I am currently working full time at VCA Animal Hospital where I can do Sat, Sun and Mon anytime. I am open to doing drop ins and walks. It would really help potentially putting me in a position for veterinary school! I take care of your pets like they are my own. I think every one has their own needs and personality, there is no "one size fits all" for any animal. I try to learn your pet on an individual level!

“Valleri was great! She was responsive, attentive to our instructions and needs, kind, and sent cute pictures of our cats while we were away. We would definitely recommend her and use her help again in the future.”

My background includes working as an overnight attendant at a dog daycare, where I monitored groups of dogs, provided feeding and medication administration, cleaned kennels, and ensured pets were safe and comfortable. I enjoy spending time with animals and can provide consistent attention, exercise, and companionship while ensuring their individual needs and routines are maintained I have a lot of experience with dogs, including walking, exercising, crating, feeding, trimming nails, some grooming, bathing, giving medicine, and more. I am responsible and will make sure I follow all instructions and double check before I leave your home!

Kimberly made twice daily drop ins to feed our cat, Molly, while we were on vacation. She went above and beyond with not just feeding her but spending quality time with her. She was very thorough with her check in cards and took plenty of pictures. She made us feel at ease knowing she was in good hands and had a worry free vacation We would rebook her and recommend her in a heartbeat. She's fantastic.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Whitman. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
