About: Hey, I'm 30 and my family currently owns two large dogs. We moved to Massachusetts about a five years ago. We have two standard poodles, Ivy who’s 7 and about 50lbs and I own Felix who’s about 3 and over 50lbs. I also have a horse, and our first dog was raised by the cats we had before got dogs. Thanks to growing up with animals, then working with horses as an apprentice in Colorado for two years I appreciate the need that dogs have to get outside and get some energy out, or at least some attention so they don't decide to entertain themselves in a different way other ways. I’ve also taken care of parrots and parakeets, rats, guinea pigs, and bearded dragons. I housesat for neighbours and friends often, and occasionally their pets would be there too. I also babysat growing up and I'm still in touch with the families, watching their kids (& pets) grow up. I'll have plenty of time to play with your pups! As a pet owner, I completely understand the need to make sure your pet isn’t bored. I like to try to leave my clients home cleaner than when I arrived, my mother taught me that when I started babysitting and it stuck. Would you like me to water your plants?

“Maegan figured our cats out on our first booking, and has been fluent in taking care of them. We really appreciate her communication, attention to detail, and photo updates.”

About: I have always had dogs and cats throughout my life. As an adult, I’ve had three dogs, myself five cats and many other poor legged friends. I enjoy being around animals very much they bring me such joy. Everyone calls me the pet whisperer because every animal I meet just loves me and I love them. I’m always helping my friends and neighbors when they need there animals taken care of while they are away. I have just currently quit my job of 21 years and wanted to do something that would make me happy on a daily basis so I decided to start taking care of animals when people need it. I get to play with many different types of furry friends along with keeping active and making my own schedule. Depending on what’s needed, I would treat all the animals like I would treat my own. Keeping them safe and loved and getting their exercise needs in.
“Josephine is great with my 2 cats with very different personalities. Both the social cat and the anxious cat like her. You can tell she really loves animals. She even asked me if she could stay a few extra minutes because my cat was on her lap! And she sends TONS of amazing photos. She is my go-to pet sitter. Highly recommend.”

I My 11 year old daughter is the BEST helper and a fellow animal lover. We have one adult cat, Queenie Zucchini. She is a sweetheart and has now had over 20 new cat friends come to stay with us so far. She has never been aggressive with any of our guest cats. She has even gotten quite attached to some of them! We have a large apartment and would be happy to adhere to any needs you and your pet have.. Just let me know how I can help! Regarding the timing of your booking. I do work Mon-Fri, but I can be available if I have enough notice. I am available all weekend, 24/7 with short notice even. I do ask that if you book - please do not book any drop-off or pickup earlier than 1pm on weekdays or before 9:00 am on weekends. No drop-off or pickups after 8:00 pm. We are a very "chill" household. With just me, my daughter, and our cat Queenie. She gets dry food in the a.m. and p.m., and 1/2 a can of wet food for dinner. About: Hi! I’m a college student and lifelong animal lover with experience caring for dogs, small animals, and farm animals. I’ve had my Chiweenie for the past 8 years and trained her myself from puppyhood, including obedience and reliable recall. I’m comfortable with puppies, senior dogs, anxious or reactive dogs, giving medication, and caring for multiple pets at once. One of my biggest strengths is reading dog body language and adjusting my approach to each dog’s individual needs. I can be calm and gentle with nervous dogs while also providing structure and boundaries when needed. I offer walks, drop-in visits, house sitting, boarding, and daycare. For boarding, visiting dogs can be kept completely separate from my own dog for everyone’s comfort and safety. I also have years of customer service experience, so you can count on clear communication, regular updates, and lots of photos. I’d love the opportunity to get to know your pet and provide them with safe, reliable care. Pet care is already a part of my daily routine. As a college student with a flexible schedule, I am able to dedicate time each day to walks, feeding, enrichment, playtime, and companionship. I live an active lifestyle and regularly go on long walks, hikes, and runs, so I am comfortable keeping up with high-energy dogs that need extra exercise. I work to maintain each pet’s normal routine as closely as possible so they feel comfortable and secure while in my care. My goal is to make sure every pet receives plenty of attention, activity, and individualized care. Safety is my top priority when caring for any pet. I take the time to learn each pet’s routine, personality, and individual needs so I can provide care that helps them feel comfortable and secure. I have experience with puppies, anxious dogs, and reactive dogs, and I pay close attention to body language to help prevent stressful situations before they happen. In my home, visiting dogs can be kept completely separate from my own dog if needed. Outdoor time is always supervised, and I use secure leashes and long lines when appropriate. I also provide regular updates and photos so owners can feel confident their pets are safe, happy, and well cared for.
“Melisa did a wonderful job with our sweet boy!! We were very nervous leaving him with someone new but she put us right at ease. She was responsive, reliable and Cheeto loved her! We look forward to having Melisa back again in the future!”

About: I’ve taken care of pets for over 40 years now. Cats, dogs, lizards, hamsters, birds etc. Pets always warm up to me and I really enjoy my interacting with them. I have experience giving medication (both pills and liquid) in a kind, gentle way that works! I have the same concerns with my elderly pet so I understand. I am an early bird so I am available before work and also after work for visits. Morning visits availability from 5-7 am and evening from 5:30-8 pm. I truly love pets so it's enjoyable for me and I just like making a little extra spending money doing something I love! I'm at work 8:30-5 so as much as I would love to walk dogs during the week, it would have to be something that fit into my Mon-Fri work schedule. If I can see them 6am-7am before work and/or 5:30-? after work, I would be able to help dog moms/dads too! I comfort them, make sure they feel loved and cared for, not just fed. And I have the utmost respect for peoples homes and their privacy.
“Maeve took wonderful care of my cat while I was away! She was very professional, prompt, and provided great photos of the fun they had together. Would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for cat care in the future!”

Kate did an amazing job of taking care of our 2 cats. She was easy to communicate with and sent us pictures and updates each day which was very reassuring. My cat George definitely has a crush on her 😊. We will absolutely use her again. We feel very fortunate to have found her. Now we can relax when we are away knowing that our cats are in very capable and caring hands.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
