Safety, trust & environment
I personally know it can be gut wrenching to leave a pet alone, especially with someone unfamiliar, so I take my responsibility very seriously. I would treat your pet how I would hope my pet would be treated. I will make sure that everything will be exactly where I found it. I will clean up any pet messes made during my shift. I promise to remain with, entertain, or comfort your pet. Plus I'll send as many photos as you like.
Information Elizabeth O. would like to know about your pet
I ask a lot of questions because I would rather be safe that sorry. I would like to talk with you the owner when meeting your dog. I learned that this works best for building a relationship with a dog over time. I also would appreciate being shown where any supplies are kept (toys, food, walking supplies, a dog bed, cleaning supplies, doggy poop bags, etc.) I would like to know some back up emergency numbers to call in case of an emergency such as the vet, a family member, etc. Also, if your dog requires multiple meals, what measurements or brand for each meal, and which meals require medications.
A typical day
Every pet is different, and has different needs. But on average my usual routine is allowing the pet to get to know me, or at least used to me. I let them approach me when I meet them face to face. I like to take them for a walk, or let them run in a fenced yard, as long as the weather is decent. We will obviously play with toys and try to get out as much energy as possible. Then we will come inside, clean up, water and food, and then some chill and pets.

Pet care experience
I have grown up with, and taken care of, animals all my life, both as an owner (1 dog, 3 cats, and 4 fish), and as a pet sitter. I currently volunteer at an animal shelter because animals just make me incredibly happy and I enjoy caring for them. Whether it's walking (a cat or dog), feeding, administering medication, playing, sitting, cleaning, or cleaning up after them, I am only too happy to help. I also have experience with both senior pets and younger pets (kittens and puppies).

Elizabeth also cares for cats. Learn about their cat-specific care experience.
Reviews

Elizabeth was amazing! She left detailed feedback along with photos every-time she was with my dogs. She cleaned up any messes that were there and made sure they were truly taken care of. I will definitely use her in the future.

Liz did a wonderful job with our lab Chloe. They bonded so well at their meet and greet. She was timely with all her visits, and also sent lots of photos of all the fun they were having together while we were gone. She even found all the tennis balls underneath the sofa and TV stand, then fish them out with a broom handle for Chloe! We will definitely be using her again.

Liz was amazing, our dog is shy and she warmed up to her right away! My trip ended up getting extended and she was willing to come check on our dogs at last minute notice so I really appreciated that!

Elizabeth did an incredible job. Extremely thorough, definitely went above and beyond in every regard. She gave attention to all 3 of my cats, made sure they got time to play, addressed all the needs of all 3 cats, and mine are not easy or simple to care for. Elizabeth was extremely professional and did a very good job of keeping me updated on eating, drinking water, bathroom usage, etc. she also sent lots of pictures which was reassuring. I would highly recommend Elizabeth for pet sitting to anyone.
