“Purvi was fantastic with our pup Roo. Roo took to her right away and she did so much to make him feel comfortable. Purvi sent frequent photos and updates about how Roo was doing, which we really appreciated. She also facilitated pick up and drop off, which is a major help for us. We look forward to booking Purvi again soon!!”

“We were very happy with the care our dog received from Raj. Our puppy is 18 months and has never been away from us until she needed boarding for 8 nights. We received photos and videos from Raj daily which was so appreciated. We could tell that our pup was being taken care of like she was their own dog. We would definitely use Raj again and very highly recommend.”

“Excellent care! Jacquelyn and Bryan were super attentive and loving to my Ollie girl. They sent pictures and updates throughout and I felt comfortable for the entirety of the stay that she was in good hands. Highly recommend :)”

“Bonnie watched our dog on our wedding day, and she was amazing! She gave us updates throughout the day and made the whole experience completely stress free so we could fully enjoy our big day. We could see that he was having a great time and getting lots of love and attention. We are so lucky to have connected with Pardeep and will absolutely be contacting him the next time we go away!”

“Very happy with Foxy first visit. Just as anyone, I was concerned leaving my dog in a new home, specially mine that is a bit scared of things and people. Charlene was very helpful explaining how things were going, how the adaptation was evolving, sending pictures and notes. Overall, extremely happy and I will leave my dog with her for another 2 weeks, which should speak by itself.”

“Jalisa was great and treated our dog like one of her own. She was very responsive, sent lots of pictures, and was flexible with changes to the pick-up/drop time. This was our first time using Rover and she absolutely eased any worries I had. I highly recommend her and our dog will definitely be back!”

Our dog was clearly spoiled and loved on while we were gone. Disco was so happy when we got back. If you are looking for someone reliable who genuinely loves dogs, I highly recommend Nasreen and we will definitely be booking again!”

“Lulu and I met Ji and there was an instantly connection. As she had never met Ji and was in a different environment, Lulu seemed content. Ji kept me updated on Lulu’s adjustment, which stated was going well. I truly appreciate Ji being able to take care of Lulu on such a short notice. Hopefully in the future if needs arrives Ji will be able to take care of Lulu again.”

“Leslie did a wonderful job watching our two small dogs (a mini-poodle and a bichon) for a nine-day vacation. She followed all our detailed requests (about food, etc), kept in frequent contact, and sent us lots of pictures. It was pretty clear that our dogs were well-pampered during their stay, and possibly did not want to leave! We will use Leslie again unhesitatingly in the future.”

“Another fantastic stay with Ahmad. Our golden was well cared for and Ahmad is extremely kind and communicative. He sent pics of our Winnie and was always there when we sent a message. 10/10”

Stefanie was really great with our dog and made the entire experience stress-free. She was incredibly communicative, sending frequent updates and photos of potty breaks, walks, meals, and how he was doing throughout his stay, which gave us great peace of mind. We brought home a happy, healthy pup, and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish—we wouldn’t hesitate to book with Stefanie again!

From the moment Bear and Grizzy arrived at Corey’s, they were welcomed in like family. We could see that our pups were comfortable and well cared for while we were away through photos shared during our trip. Grateful to have found Corey and his family who feel like an extension of home for our pups. Will 100% be returning for future stays!

I couldn’t have asked for a better experience with Emiko! From the moment we connected, she was incredibly pleasant and professional, which immediately put me at ease. Her property is absolutely beautiful, and the neighborhood is just as great—perfect environment for a dog to feel safe and comfortable. What really stood out was her communication. She kept me consistently updated, which made a huge difference and gave me total peace of mind while I was away. It’s clear she genuinely cares, and that’s hard to find. She really treated our Whippet like family. I’ll definitely be using her again and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, trustworthy sitter. Thank you so much, Emiko!!
We are so happy we chose Chanel to watch Duke for a week! It was such a great decision. She was absolutely wonderful, sending frequent videos and photos that gave my wife and me total peace of mind. Duke clearly had a great time and was treated like family. 200% recommend and we will definitely be using her again!"

We have left Roco with James several times now and he is a favorite. I love that he takes only one dog each time, since it means he is providing full attention to your dog, and there is less risk of accidents. Roco is always happy to see him (as soon as we drive into his area) and is calm when I pick him up. I can tell he loves to stay with James!! No anxiety, no rush to get in the car. Just perfect!! Also we value James flexibility: we had flights changed and he accommodated the extra time without any issue.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NJ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
