“I left my puppy Law for Day Care with Erika and Franklin. They took great care of law from sun up til sun down. They were able follow instructions to a T, responded quickly, asked questions and provided photos throughout the day as requested. Definitely would recommend!”

About: I’ve had dogs since I was young. I grew up on a farm with lots of animals and have trained many puppies and older dogs alike. All my dogs have been rescues so I’m very familiar with dogs that have come from bad situations and dogs that are misunderstood because of their breeds. I’ve always had dogs of different sizes, breeds and temperaments. I’m always the first person my friends and family go to when they need some extra help with t dogs or just need someone to watch them while on vacation. I live on 10 acres which is perfect for those dogs that love off leash time but don’t get a lot, I love exploring new areas and have assisted in training dogs while in the military. I’m currently working part time and looking for a way to get out of the house more often and help people with their pets needs. As a dog and cat owner I know how important exercise is and that some people just don’t have the time to take their dogs on proper walks while they are at work. I live on ten acres and can offer a safe environment for dogs to safely play in, I have extra long leads so if your pup isn’t quite off leash trained they can still have an amazing experience with the long leads and all the land. I always follow whatever instructions are left for me as I know how important routines can be for a pet!

About: I love dogs and they seem to love me...cats, too! I am currently looking for pet sitting clients, in my home or the client's home. I live on a peaceful, private and safe property, bordered by the woods and a lake in Brookeville. I have cared for my own pets for most of my life and have also worked as a dog walker and dog hander at a dog daycare center. I have also fostered and rescued dogs and cats. I have an extensive background in unrelated fields, such as music, graphics/video, real estate, property management and working as a home healthcare aide. Please feel free to ask any questions that you may have. Best ~ Mark I can always put my pet clients and visitors first. Outside of working with animals, I work on music, home renovations, read, etc. My home is a large garage that I converted into a guest house with a recording studio. The house where I have pet guests is a private home near the woods. I have over 2 acres where I can walk dogs, plus 80 acres of woods behind the house for hikes. I have security cameras at the property. There is only one neighbor nearby and it is a very quiet and peaceful area. I am completely trustworthy as far as caring for client's pets. I have worked as a guitar teacher and pet handler, various other jobs that required background checks.
“Danielle was so kind to accommodate us last minute for daycare. She asked plenty of questions to get familiar with my dog’s needs and was even willing to give him water from a plastic cup due to his pickiness. Looking forward to hopefully working with her again!”

“Maria and Fernando took wonderful care of my puppy, Toby. When I came to pick him up, he was ready to go back into their house, I knew he felt comfortable there. Maria was very flexible when I wanted some special things gone for him. I really appreciated it. I was sent lots of pictures during my puppy’s stay and he looked like he was having a good time. I have tried large company-run daycares and they did not take good care of my puppy. Having him in a home with loving people who really care about my puppy means everything to me. I have already booked my his next daycare appointment.”

About: I have had many breeds of dogs growing up (from German Shepard to Pomeranians) since I was 15. Me and my daughters are comfortable with energetic puppies to senior dogs and everything in between. We always make sure pets feel safe, loved, and cared for. Pet care easily fits into my daily routine as I work from home most days and my daughter is home from college and is able to take them on walks, give potty breaks, and care for them during the day. My other daughter (school age) helps out when she’s back from school and on weekends. We have a very large yard perfect for your dog to run around and play and I also have a two year old dog who is really friendly and loves to play. I follow care instructions very closely, ensuring your pet is always safe and comfortable.
About: Cats and dogs have been part of my everyday life since childhood. Today my wife and I share our home with two cats and two dogs — so your pet is joining a household that already speaks their language. I've cared for family members' and friends' animals through house sitting, in-home drop-ins, feeding, walks, and play — at my place and at theirs. Laid-back, attentive, and genuinely passionate about animals. Pet care is my full-time focus right now. While I take cybersecurity courses and work toward a new career in tech, my days are built around home — which means your pet gets consistent, attentive care every single day of the week. I am available for both daycare and boarding seven days a week with no gaps in availability. A typical day looks like this: Meals Three feeding periods — morning, midday, and evening — keep pets on a consistent routine throughout the day. Walks Dogs go out 6 to 7 times a day, roughly every 3 hours, so there are no long stretches of waiting — they stay active and comfortable all day long. Cat play Cats enjoy one to two dedicated play sessions each day to keep them stimulated and engaged. My home is a pet-friendly, well-organized space designed with animal comfort and safety in mind. Here's what you can expect: Resident dogs Two friendly small dogs — a Pomeranian and a Chihuahua — live in the home and are great companions for visiting dogs. They've spent time at doggy daycare themselves and are comfortable and experienced around other dogs, which helps guests settle in faster. Cats in the home There are cats in the household. Baby gates are in place throughout the home to create separated zones as needed, keeping cats and dogs comfortable and giving everyone their own space to decompress. Yard & outdoor time My yard is not fenced, so all outdoor time is leashed. With 6 to 7 walks a day, dogs get more than enough fresh air and exercise — and they're never left unattended outside. Crating A small dog crate is available if a pet is crate-trained or needs a quiet retreat. I'm also happy to use a crate provided by the owner if your dog is more comfortable in their own space.
“Vanessa is great and is almost always available short notice, which we appreciate so much. We feel so comfortable leaving our girl with her, we can tell she’s well loved there. We will continue to use her as long as she will let us!”

“I can’t say enough good things about the care my Duchess received from Lingli!! From the moment we arrived, I felt completely at ease. She was so kind and welcoming, and I truly appreciated the daily photo updates—it made being away from Duchess so much easier. Lingli's patience and flexibility, especially with my changing schedule due to meetings, meant the world to me. It’s rare to find someone who is both professional and genuinely loving toward pets, but she’s exactly that. Highly recommend!”

“We are traveling through the states and stayed at Cherry Hill RV park in Maryland Cal and Kelly are only a 15 minute drive away and we dropped off our pup for daycare all five days while we went into the city to explore. We have been using Rover a lot since we started traveling but we have never had a sitter like these two. We received pictures and videos throughout the day but most importantly our dog was so excited to go to their home every day. Usually we have to drag him out of the truck with treats but upon arriving at their home each morning he couldn’t wait to get out. I wish we could take these two with us on our journey. They are the best. I wouldn’t hesitate to leave our boy with them if we went on an extended trip. I can’t say enough good things about them and the care they give. Thank you again for the great care you gave Archie.”

“Sharon took great care of my dog, Beanie! We have been with Sharon for the past 3 years now and she has been awesome with day care and overnight care. Thank you Sharon!!”

Candice was absolutely wonderful with our old man Louie. She was willing to take him in very early in the morning, which was such a relief for us. Throughout the stay she kept us updated with clear communication and was always transparent, which gave us complete peace of mind. It’s clear she genuinely cares and goes above and beyond to provide a safe, reliable, and welcoming environment. We’re so grateful we found her and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy sitter.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MD ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
