“Cal and Kelly are great! They sent tons of updates during the day and my pup had a blast! She came home all tired out and we will definitely be going back 😁”

“Toby had a great time at doggy daycare with Maria and Fernando! I received several photos and updates throughout the day giving me peace of mind. He got to play and excessive with lots of other dogs. He also was in great spirits when I picked him up and appeared to have seriously connected with Maria! We will be booking with them again in the future”

“My wife and I were worried about our newly adopted rescue dog and how he'd react to different surroundings, people, and other dogs. Joy and Rodney made him feel right at home and sent a bunch of pictures showing him interacting with their dogs and other daycare pups. They made us feel comfortable too knowing our baby was in good hands. I highly recommend Joy and Rodney and I know we'll be booking with them again.”

“My pup Kodi goes to doggy daycare with Ming and his team. He runs to their door every morning, wagging his tail waiting to go in. I get daily updates with photos and/or texts, and so get to see how much fun he is having while I am at work. The house is a little doggy retreat, with lots of places for pups to rest and a nice backyard to play in. Kodi has a great time and comes home tired from a fun filled day.”

“I am so happy that I found this daycare for my tiny pup! The at-home approach makes me feel so much more comfortable (and less guilty) than the typical daycare/boarding options offered in the area where all the dogs are in one room without their comfy bed or toys. Everyone who works at the daycare is friendly and my pup is truly excited when we pull up for drop-off. Definitely a hidden little gem!”
“I was worried about dropping off my large, teenage, high maintenance Bernedoodle for day care, but he had a great time! Paul was responsive, professional, and sent us multiple update.”

“Josh and Andreas were so great with our girl Maggie!! She is super social and loved being with them and the other pups. They were so great with sending updates and asked all the right questions. They were a perfect first experience for us using rover and I know Maggie will be so excited to visit again!”

“Our dog bandit is a hunting dog with insane energy and she was so calm and happy with Malvi and Andrej - she had the time of her life!! They have a perfect setup in their back yard and are very communicative. You’ll get tons of amazing photos. Bandit will be going back for sure. I really can’t recommend them enough!”

“Robin made it really easy to drop my dog off and pick him up. He had a great playdate while we were going out for lunch. Robin sent lots of cute pictures and videos.”

“Hk was great with my puppy! i was worried but she kept me updated all the time with feedback and pictures to reassure my dog was adjusting fine and i really appreciated that! Thank you and we’ll definitely bring Mia back again”

“My dog is very happy at Natalia's and with the company of other dogs there. She is happily going to Natalia, which is the biggest sign for me that Natalia's place is a good environment for dogs.”

“Arly has been going to Francine's for 2 weeks now and its been Great, she seems very happy and we're very satisfied with her quick transition there. Thanks Francine for your TLC of our baby girl :)”

“Josefa was wonderful with our dog Toby (mini schnauzer, 8 yrs old, 30 lbs) when she looked after him for the day. She was so warm, welcoming, communicative, and made sure that Toby was comfortable while in her care. Toby was super relaxed when we picked him up, which is a great sign. We're so glad to have found Josefa and will absolutely reach out again for doggy day care. Highly recommended! :)”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Ashton
Julia watched our dog Minnie for doggy daycare and it was great. While we were gone Julia was quick to respond and give us updates on how Minnie was doing, and I think Minnie overall enjoyed her time with Julia and her dog Maci (and the other dog Julia was watching along with Minnie). Minnie has epilepsy and can’t be left alone, and Julia was attentive when we gave her instructions on emergency medicine and instructions , etc. We were comfortable leaving our dog with her and will definitely book with Julia again.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Maria and Fernando are absolutely amazing! They’ve been caring for my 4-year-old, 45 lb hound mix Titus for the past 2–3 years, and I truly couldn’t ask for a better team. Whether it’s daycare or boarding, I always know he’s safe, happy, and having the best time with his furry friends. Maria is fantastic with communication and always keeps me in the loop, and Fernando takes the best photos I love getting updates and seeing how much fun Titus is having. It really gives me peace of mind. They genuinely treat Titus like their own, and it shows in how excited he is every time he goes back. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for loving, reliable care for their fur baby!

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MD ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
