“As always, Titus had a wonderful time when he is with Maria and Fernando. He has lots of friends that he plays with. I have a work trip coming up and I will definitely be using Maria and Fernando services. Titus definitely has a blast every time he’s there.”

“Our dog, Walter, is enjoying going to Sharon's house for day care. Sharon has a beautiful yard where he can run. Her four Shelties have made friends with Walter. Sharon loves dogs and provides wonderful day care.”

“Danielle is an absolute wonderful sitter. She has watched my energetic 1.5 year old boxer - mastiff on several occasions, even gifting him a toy on his first stay! With a fenced in backyard, other dogs to play with, and last minute scheduling accommodations each stay have been a lovely experience. My dog is worn out when he gets home, which is great for long work days. Danielle also sends pictures and videos throughout each visit that make my day!”

“I was worried about dropping off my large, teenage, high maintenance Bernedoodle for day care, but he had a great time! Paul was responsive, professional, and sent us multiple update.”

“Wonderful!!!! Brody was well taken care of and the family is fantastic. I love that they have 2 amazing playful fun dogs that Brody can play with.. I highly recommend!!”

“We are new to Rover and to daycare. Josh & Andres’ place was the perfect option. Our dog had a great day and she is already looking forward to the next time with her new friends. Great hosts and daycare!”

“My dog Rambo is really anxious without me but Cal & Kelly worked with him and made sure he felt comfortable throughout the day. They sent me numerous updates that put my mind at ease and made me feel comfortable leaving Rambo in somebody else’s care. Rambo and I will definitely be coming back!”

About: I am very active and like to walk 3 or so miles everyday, leave your dog with me and they will make sure to get good exercise! I work from home and have great deal of flexibility! I can change my schedule quickly to meet the needs of the day or the dog! I like to make sure they are well fed and well exercised while having a quite spot for themselves if they like or an ability to be right next to me the entire day.
“AMAZING experience with Lakshme! She went all out for my dog, Ches, on a cold and rainy Saturday morning at 5:30 AM! Not only did she greet him with treats and pics, but she also shared the big bed upstairs with him. She is always great with Ches and is extremely knowledgeable!”

“Need a compassionate sitter? Check! Need someone who will tire your high energy dogs out? Check! Want a sitter who follows all your instructions to a T? Check Check Check! Took care of my 3 shepherds with excellent care, even my shepherd with degenerative myelopathy (who is a picky princess) had a happy time with him. Will use him again!”

“Jeff was wonderful! He was very confident with our young dogs, sent a midday update, and the pictures showed that our pups had a blast in his backyard. We are so grateful for his care and hospitality.”

“My dog is very happy at Natalia's and with the company of other dogs there. She is happily going to Natalia, which is the biggest sign for me that Natalia's place is a good environment for dogs.”

“We had a great experience leaving our 7-month-old golden/lab mix Mochi with Avigail! Avigail was super responsive from the beginning and was able to squeeze us into her schedule on a short notice (contacted on Wed. for daycare on Fri.). We did a meet & greet so our dog could meet her and her kids and we met the whole family — everyone was super nice! After meeting them we felt comfortable leaving Mochi with her and her family. Avigail sent us photos throughout the day and I could tell Mochi was having a lot of fun. When we picked her up, she didn’t even want to leave and cried a bit in the car haha showed how much fun she had! We’ll definitely be coming back!”

“Joo was great with my dog, Willa! Willa's a pretty anxious pup but Joo sent many updates and stayed right by her side the whole day to make sure she felt comfortable. She has a great large, fenced in yard in a quiet neighborhood. I would highly recommend Joo to watch your pet!”

“Taake’s first visit for Daycare was amazing! She had two nervous pet parents who were delighted to receive lots of photos of Taake having a blast with the other dogs and cuddling with new friends. It’s obvious the care team treats your pet like family- we look forward to future visits/stays!”

“I'm really grateful that I found Jeremy through Rover so my son and I could go visit Timpanogos cave! Her puppy and my puppy got to play and mine was tired after, which was nice too.”

“Mei regularly cares for my older dog Bear and she does a fantastic job. She takes him on walks and I feel confident that he will have a wonderful day in her care. I highly recommend Mei!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Spencerville
Julia watched our dog Minnie for doggy daycare and it was great. While we were gone Julia was quick to respond and give us updates on how Minnie was doing, and I think Minnie overall enjoyed her time with Julia and her dog Maci (and the other dog Julia was watching along with Minnie). Minnie has epilepsy and can’t be left alone, and Julia was attentive when we gave her instructions on emergency medicine and instructions , etc. We were comfortable leaving our dog with her and will definitely book with Julia again.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Maria and Fernando are absolutely amazing! They’ve been caring for my 4-year-old, 45 lb hound mix Titus for the past 2–3 years, and I truly couldn’t ask for a better team. Whether it’s daycare or boarding, I always know he’s safe, happy, and having the best time with his furry friends. Maria is fantastic with communication and always keeps me in the loop, and Fernando takes the best photos I love getting updates and seeing how much fun Titus is having. It really gives me peace of mind. They genuinely treat Titus like their own, and it shows in how excited he is every time he goes back. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for loving, reliable care for their fur baby!

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MD ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
