“So this is the first time I used Rover and I couldn’t be more happy Erica and Franklin were the best! They made me feel very comfortable by having a visit before my vacation so that I was able to meet them and see their home and that helped to know it was a perfect fit. They were in constant communication answering text anytime and sending pictures that will of the good times they were having with my pit. I give them credit because some people here that I have a pitbull and get totally turned off and feel some kind of way, but they were completely open to him and invited him in like one of the family. If I could recommend anyone it would definitely be Erica and Franklin . Taking comfort in them having my dog, which is essentially like my child enabled me to enjoy my vacation and I can’t thank them enough. I fully recommend them 100%.”

“Poh Huey is absolutely amazing. She took great care of our dog Belle recently when we were out of town. She was responsive, courteous, and very professional. Huey was genuinely attentive to Belle, which was greatly appreciated. She provides video/photo updates. Her fenced backyard with artificial turf provides a safety and clean playground for dogs. Her two dogs are super friendly. Huey is the best!!”

“Julijai was amazing with Dakota and I already booked her for the next weekend! Great at communicating but also respecting my time while on vacation. Got lots of pics of my pup and I know she was having a blast!!”

“Eric was great! We had a family emergency and needed to travel internationally. He sent lots of pics and even socialized our dog. It was an exciting week away from home with many adventures. Will definitely use him again in the future. Thank you for taking such great care of our baby!”

“It’s Nigel’s third stay with Masha & family. Knowing Nigel is under their care gives me total peace of mind. Masha & fam is definitely my first choice for Nigel’s home away from home.”

“Elsa had a great stay with Cal and Kelly. They kept me informed- sent lots of pics and videos. I think she hated to leave! I would and will definitely use them again.”

“Andrea is the perfect sitter! I appreciated her flexibility with drop off and pick up times and her very calm, personable and welcoming demeanor. Sarge loved being at her house and was already exploring the house by the time I left. Andrea made sure he had all the comforts of home and even got him to sleep in a dog bed that she provided. When I picked him up, he was very content and in no hurry to go home. I have already booked another stay, as I know Sarge will be in good care with Andrea.”

“Chris (and Maria) were great hosts for our Remy and welcomed her into their home. Chris kept us updated with photos and videos which was very helpful. We could see Remy was really comfortable with them. They looked after her food and meds needs and it looks like Chris gave her plenty of exercise as well which is a huge plus with the backyard. Remy returned to us just how we had left her with them. Would recommend Chris for tremendous empathy with animals and also excellent communication and updates.”

“Another fantastic stay with Theresa. Misa is always so well taken care of at her house and I never have to worry. She sends pictures every day and a check in. Theresa and her daughter Lyv are our go to sitters when we travel.”

“This was our first time boarding Black with a sitter, and Crystal provided a great experience for Black and for us. When we dropped him off, he didn’t even look back as she ushered him inside which told us he was comfortable with Crystal from the very beginning. When we picked Black up, he was excited to see us AND sad for his weekend with Crystal to come to an end. Black had a couple of behavioral issues during his stay and Crystal was very attentive taking great care of his needs and keeping us updated with great photos and detailed reports. We highly recommend Crystal.”

“Maria was so sweet. We ended up in a pinch to board our dog before our wedding and she was 100% willing to work with us. For our meet and greet she showed us their dog setup and it was so well thought of and cared for. Wrex came home exhausted from playing with the other dogs.”

“My dogs loved their stay with Josh and Andres. My older dog (Loki) who is picky with his interactions with humans was very comfortable and happy during his stay.”

“Piero took great care of our two dogs during our two-week vacation! He provided photo and video updates and was flexible with pickup and drop-off times. Both dogs were happy and healthy at the end of their stay. We’d happily leave them with Piero again in the future!”

“Marcel came back to me well loved and cared for by Shanilka and her family! Marcel was very relaxed at returning home. Thank you for the pictures that you sent. Great thanks for your flexibility on our drop off and pick up time when our plane was late! I especially loved that Marcel slept with your mom and ignored the bed. He had a wonderful team to care for him. I will definitely use your services again. Thanks again❤️🙏🤗”

“Diana and her family are amazing! They were so loving towards my dog, sent updates/pictures, and were flexible with my travel plans. I would happily book with them again. 😍”

Great experience with the pet sitter! They sent pictures every day, which really put my mind at ease while I was away. It was clear that my pet was happy and well cared for, and it even looked like they got along wonderfully with Simba, their dog. I’d definitely trust them again!

Many sitters in MD ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
