“Angie accommodated me last minute when our previous Rover sitter had a medical emergency and could no longer sit for us. She took amazing care of our golden retriever Jackson and was very communicative sending tons of updates, videos and pictures! Jackson had his own vacation away from us and did not want to leave. We would absolutely use Angie again!”

“Theresa and her family took such good care of Arbie. Despite booking with short notice during the holidays, she was flexible with timing and maintained great communication throughout. She sent daily updates with pictures, which reassured us that our dog was comfortable and having a wonderful time. I highly recommend Theresa and will definitely book with her again.”

“Charlie had a great stay with Bria! She was very attentive to him, he loved getting to play with her dog, and I appreciated the daily updates. Will definitely book her again next time!”

“Lingli was so sweet and attentive the entire stay and was great about sending videos and pictures. My cat was taken care of so well and she's a really great communicator.”

“They took good care of Caramel! She was comfortable and they sent plenty of pictures to us to see how she was doing. Caramel was able to roam around and we didn’t need a crate.”

“Jasmine was great! My dog is scared of strangers, but she got comfortable with Jasmine quickly. She sent pictures of my dog everyday and was very communicative. I will definitely be booking again :)”

“I couldn’t be happier with my experience with Edward and Natalia. We had a meet and greet a week prior where they asked a lot of questions and observed Ralphie with their sweet pup, Liz Lemon. I always worry leaving Ralphie with a new Rover. He has been described as “extra” and needs a lot of attention/human presence. Within an hour of dropping him off, I got a note that he is settling in fine with a picture of him cozied up with the family and this eased my mind immensely. They were very responsive when I reached out and had everything ready to go when I picked him up. The biggest testament, however, is Ralphie’s behavior on the drive home. If let’s me know if he didn’t like his stay somewhere, but leaving Natalia and Edward he was calm and well behaved. They deserve this 5-star review and j would recommend them to my friends and family without hesitation.”

“Our baby was treated very well and Stephanie provided updates that let us know Nugget was doing great with them. Her son played with him and Nugget had company throughout the day. Definitely a go to trusted sitter for us.”

“Julijai was amazing with Dakota and I already booked her for the next weekend! Great at communicating but also respecting my time while on vacation. Got lots of pics of my pup and I know she was having a blast!!”

“Lorna is an amazing dogsitter. My 4 month old puppy was genuinely happy in her home for the five days she stayed. She enjoyed making some doggy friends. We will definitely use her services in the future.”

“Priscilla did an amazing job taking care of our little one. Communication was great and she sent us so many wonderful pictures that we loved receiving each day. She and her family were great with our pup and I will definitely be booking future visits .”

“Erika was so amazingly kind and patient. My pup felt so loved and happy as shown by his happy trot every time we arrived. We were very pleased with and blessed by Toby's stay with Erika and her lovely family.”

“My dog Tako was extremely well taken care of and I got frequent updates. Shanilka was very easy to communicate with and she was very flexible as my travel plans changed due to the weather. I will absolutely be using her again if I ever need!”
“Chris was great with our older dog. He let him out into his yard and walked him daily. He also gave him his meds on schedule. We received daily updates during his stay. Chris was also responsive throughout the process: booking, meet and greet, drop off and pickup. Our dog was happy and relaxed after a one week stay with Chris. Highly recommend him for a stay!”

“Jen was awesome with Max and Daizy! I’m always a little nervous leaving them, but she made me feel so much better with updates and how well she handled everything. My pups can be a little particular, and she did great with them. You can tell she really cares. Definitely would book her again!”

“I couldn't have asked for a better dog sitter! It was clear that Ori was in caring, capable hands. I received regular updates, photos, and messages, which gave me complete peace of mind while I was away. Melissa professionalism, reliability, and genuine love for dogs really shine through. If you're looking for someone you can trust with your furry family member, I highly recommend Melissa. I'll definitely be booking with her again!”

“We are first time users of Rover and are so happy we found Carrie. Finnegan really enjoyed his overnight visit, and was welcomed into Carrie’s home as if it were his own. Carrie was extremely attentive to Finnegan’s needs and communicated with me frequently from the start. Finnegan can’t wait to go back in a few weeks!”

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MD ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
