She over communicates in the best possible way. She is happy to know every detail about your dog’s routine so that she can care for them like they’re her own. With other Rovers in the past, I’ve felt “extra” or bothersome with little details about my dogs but Andie genuinely appreciates all the details. About: Growing up, I had three dogs, one of which I trained to play hide and seek, soccer, fetch, shake, sing, etc. I love animals so much and take really good care of them. I have even been dubbed the “dog whisperer” by several people over the years haha. Regarding more professional experience, in undergrad, I walked one of the chaplain’s dogs. This past summer, I walked and dog-sat for a few families. I’d love to help out in any way I can! I’m a graduate student at IUB, but generally speaking, I am free most mornings and nights, as well as on Fridays and the weekend. I’m pretty good at balancing my time, so I can be pretty flexible outside class hours. I pay a lot of attention to the animals in any home, and so I’d definitely play with them and give them much love. I’d follow any instruction about their feeding and/or walking schedule. I’ve cared for some pretty big dogs in the past, too!

I work full time and my schedule changes a bit but I can usually accommodate walks/drop ins before 9am and after 7pm. Afternoon walks/drop ins can be accommodated, we'll just need to discuss the best time for them. Because my schedule is a bit more unique, I'm big on communication and am open to discuss in advance any scheduling preferences. I am only offering drop in and walking services at the moment so I can give your pups and kitties some direct love, play, and attention in the comfort of their own home and environment.

About: I have been an animal lover my entire life; some of my earliest memories are sitting on my family's back porch with a freezer pop and my arm slung over the shoulders of our big Great Dane. Formerly a Humane Society employee and currently a fitness trainer, mom, pet foster person, and rescue volunteer with a flexible schedule, I am dependable, hard-working, and a great communicator. About: I’ve taken care of, fostered, and had dogs for the majority of my life. In my adult life I’ve only had cats of my own but love dogs all the same! I have volunteered at shelters to care for the dogs and to train them. Although I don’t have a training credential, I can train dogs to learn basic commands and walk on a leash without going crazy. I currently work from home most days as a private tutor and if I do have an in person session I’m gone for about 3 hours, give or take, in the early evening. With me being home most of the day any dog will have the company they’re used to! In other’s home I am very clean and precise with whatever instructions are given to me. In my home I make sure there’s lots of toys and treats for my own fur children and the ones I’m pet sitting. I live in an apartment and have a balcony that they can sit out on. Although I may not have a fenced yard, I'm very active and go hiking and walking and to the park often, so your furry friend will get plenty of outside time and exercise! I have 3 cats of my own that keep their distance and mind their business with dogs, so if your dog is well behaved with cats then boarding with me would be a great fit!

About: We’re Claire and Juan Carlos, passionate animal parents and advocates who’ve always shared our lives with pets. Juan Carlos previously volunteered at the Austin Animal Shelter, and Claire has been pet sitting through Rover and word of mouth for over 10 years. Since Claire works from home, your pup will enjoy frequent potty breaks, playtime in the yard, and plenty of attention throughout the day. Our home is perfect for boarding, offering ample space, cozy couches for snuggles, and a large, fully fenced backyard for playtime—whether it’s squirrel chasing, ball fetching, or simply stretching those legs and sunbathing under the pergola. We have extensive experience caring for dogs during short weekend stays and extended visits lasting over two weeks. Your pup will also have the company of our two rescue dogs: Nelly, our senior foster Chihuahua, and Chucky, our playful one-eyed Shih Tzu who loves new friends. Our three cats are also well-adjusted to being around dogs. We’re an ideal match if your pup is accustomed and friendly to both small dogs and cats, enjoys snuggles, and has a medium to low energy level. While we can accommodate some higher-energy dogs, we strive to keep a calm, peaceful environment to ensure the comfort of our guests dogs, doggie residents, and the cats. However, if your pup prefers a solo environment, we might not be the best fit. If your pup loves playmates, we would love them to join our holiday pack :) Claire works from home, so is able to offer frequent potty breaks and plenty of attention to our four legged friends during the day. Nights and weekends we may leave to run errands but will not leave pups for longer than a 4 hour stretch and will ensure they have been property fed and exercised prior to leaving. Our lives fully revolve around our pets! Because of this, guest dogs are part of the family while they stay with us. We love to play outside, lounge on the couch, and take special care to attend to the specific and unique needs of whatever pets we have in our home.

About: I've had dogs for 12+ years and been the Go-To dog sitter for friends and family for all their pups! Young pups, senior pups, high-energy pups, or super chill pups, I love them all! I currently have a WFH job. I do go out in the field for a few hours a day, but that varies. Annie (my pup) go on two walks a day. I'm usually home til 10 am, and if I go into the field, I try to be back by 2-3 pm. I have a comfy couch that's open to pups for naps and cuddles. I have a nice, fenced-in backyard, a walkable neighborhood. Plenty of space for crate training if needed. I will love on your dog as if they are my own. I will most likely give them a cute nickname, and I might be a little generous with the treats, oops.

About: When I was five years old, I got my first cat. Ever since then, I've been taking care of cats. It was only a few years after that my family grew to encompass dogs, and I've taken care of many, many cats and dogs over the years, including some darling kittens. Lately, my friend and neighbor has been entrusting me with caring for her several month old puppy quite regularly. I look forward to the snuggles any fuzzy friend might desire, and to meeting any and all other needs as well. My part-time schedule changes week by week, but I generally work Sunday mornings at the moment. I keep my schedule as up-to-date as possible, and I have most of the week free to play with and care for your sweet fuzzy friends! My apartment is on the ground floor and opens directly onto a fenced-in yard with many different nooks for your fuzzy friend to explore. I can crate them if need be, or I can let them sleep on my comfy chairs or bed! Whatever is needed, my space can easily accommodate. There are three cats who live here as well, one who is super friendly and will say hello. The other two are more likely to keep their distance. They are indoor/outdoor cats so they can give your fuzzy friend as much space as needed, or they can become friends! I also do have a very elaborate cat tree for any cat boarders who'd like to climb amongst pink fuzz, or who prefer to eat their food in style.

About: I have experience caring for a variety of different household pets - currently in my care is a 5 year old ball python. I have previously cared for multiple dogs, including bully breeds. I also have experience with senior dogs, having recently rescued and rehabilitated a 130lb senior great dane/pit bull mix for the final few years of his life, as well as caring for past family dogs well into their later years. I grew up in a "more animals than people" household, so I've always been very accustomed to tending to the needs of various types of animals such as dogs, cats, rodents, and reptiles, and I understand how stressful it can be to leave them home while you're away. One thing you can guarantee I'll say just about every time I leave the house is "I wish I could text my dog." That's why I'm committed to regular communication about your pet and providing you with adorable update photos. I would be honored to be entrusted with the care of your furry (or not-so-furry) friend! I'm currently a part-time student and not working aside from pet sitting, so I have lots of time to hang out with your pet. I am unavailable for full time long-stays outside of my home, but message me and I would love to work with your needs to the best of my ability! My usual visits include a walk and/or playtime - to relieve any boredom, get their energy out, and provide exercise - a feeding if necessary, and I refresh their water at each visit. I always bring treats, and will ask about potential dietary restrictions in advance. I also like to dedicate a minimum of 20 minutes to sitting with your pet and giving them my full attention to keep them company, providing pets, brushing, or other affection. That said, I love doing my best to provide comfort to the less cuddly pets I care for as well. Some pets respond to their humans being away by seeking affection and some need their space - I will always listen to and follow your pet’s individual needs!
