“Lilyanna was so great with our dogs this weekend. We really appreciate how amazing she is with communication and we came home to a clean house, which is always so nice after a trip. We’re looking forward to having her watch our dogs in January as well.”
“Willow is so sweet and loving to my baby Afi! She loves animals so much. Super easy to work with & communicative. I give her a shared note on my phone with directions and she follows them thoroughly. I’ll be booking Willow again!”

About: I grew up on a farm so I have experience with dogs, cats, and many more. I’m comfortable caring for animals of all ages and personalities, and I’ll always treat your pets with the same love and attention I give my own. Pet care is already a part of my daily routine. Growing up on a farm, I’ve always had animals to feed, care for, and spend time with every day. I have a flexible schedule and can make time for walks, playtime, feeding, and giving your pets the attention and care they deserve. I care for pets in my home and my clients’ homes by treating them like my own. I make sure they have fresh food and water, a clean and comfortable space, exercise, playtime, and plenty of attention and affection. I follow each pet’s routine and needs closely to help them feel safe, happy, and cared for while their owners are away.
“Absolutely outstanding experience! Kate cared for our dogs and cat and also watched our home, and she exceeded expectations in every way. Communication was excellent from start to finish, with thoughtful updates and daily photos that gave us total peace of mind. Our pets were clearly happy, relaxed, and well cared for. On top of that, she left our home spotless, which was such a great surprise to come back to. It genuinely felt like our home and pets were treated with the same care and attention she would give her own. If you are even considering hiring Kate, do it immediately! We will absolutely book Kate again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and professional sitter.”

“Christine is the best! We were gone for 6 days, and she handled all of our dogs quirky and lovable obsessions. Also we had an unusual home and yard issue which she helped us with. House was just like we left it but, “a much happier place when we returned. A lot of dog loving going on. Jinx , our 16 yr old border collie told us she will miss her until the next time.”

About: **please make sure you are within my service area before sending a booking request** I am a professional interdisciplinary artist who has worked and volunteered in the animal welfare field for over 30 years. I’ve worked as a vet-tech and kennel tech in shelters, as well as smaller clinics and rescues in Massachusetts and Texas. I grew up in a household with multiple cats and dogs. I am an advocate for bully breeds, and have owned pit bulls and pit mixes through much of my adult life. I treat all cats, dogs, exotics and other animals with utmost care, love, compassion, and patience, regardless of size, breed, and behavior. I have a clean driving record and am fully insured. I appreciate you giving me an opportunity to care for your furry kiddos, and look forward to it. Because I work from home I have a lot of flexibility for pet care. During boardings I stay home so you needn’t worry about your pets being left unattended. I live on 10 acres in Wimberley. My property is fenced, but because some dogs won’t obey commands from those other than their family and might behave differently in a foreign environment I do not let them off leash. My home and porch are spacious so there is a lot of room to play. (I do have plans to securely fence in a dog area on the ranch, and will be sure to mention it when I do). If you choose to board your pet at my place I WILL stay home (which is fine since I work from home much of the time), so your dogs will never be left unattended. I’m very tidy and do not leave anything laying around that could be a potential hazard for your fur babies. I have 2 large dog beds which I wash between uses. I also have a variety of toys for dogs (which also get washed and sanitized), and keep a variety of healthy snacks and (rawhide-free) chews on hand, food and water bowls. I also have a variety of harnesses (currently only for medium and large breed dogs) leads, and dog seat belts, clip-on lights for night walks. If you prefer your pet be crated while here you will need to supply the crate. ** Photos of house and interior upon request.
“Alex is the best! Highly conscientious, a great communicator, and a real animal lover! Our dog's digestive challenges didn't faze him and he worked hard to develop a connection with her. (she's very shy and wary of strangers). At his suggestion, we had two meet-and-greet sessions and Alex took careful note of all the information we gave him. Alex left the house in perfect condition, even washing and changing the sheets on the bed. We would ask Alex back anytime! Thank you, Alex!”

“We knew from our first meeting that our pups were going to be in good hands while we were gone. It is so obvious that Donna loves dogs and she goes above and beyond to make sure that they feel comfortable at her home. We will definitely be calling Donna again when we go out of town. ♥️”

“Sheri is a blessing. She took exceptional care of our dog and home while we were away. She communicated with us and asked pertinent questions. The home was clean and in order when we returned. We highly recommend her for sitting services.”

“Becca was great! We were looking for someone last minute and Becca made time to come do a meet and greet the same day we contacted her and our dog absolutely adored her. She was very professional and responsive and kept us updated the whole time we were gone. I highly recommend her!”

“Anastasia did a wonderful job taking care of both of our pups and our home! She sent plenty of updates, photos, and had overall great communication. She left our home clean and tidy and was very respectful of everything. I would definitely recommend Anastasia for anyone needing a trustworthy pet sitter.”

“Samantha did a great job taking care of our two pups at our house. We came home to find happy pups and a well taken care of house. Good communication during the sitting. We plan to hire her again and would recommend to anyone else.”

About: I’ve had experience dog sitting for my neighbors for several occasions for the past three years, basic potty breaks and feeding every morning, afternoon, and evening. I’ve also have experience with house sitting and yard care. Throughout my life I’ve had dogs of varying breeds, sizes, and temperaments, so I can adjust to whatever needs your pooch needs. I’m currently a commuting college student at Texas state, so I’m pretty used to driving distances during my day to day life. During the weekdays my classes start early morning and end around noon, so from 11am to 2pm onward I’m free for your pup(s)! For food and potty break drop ins I’ll let your pooch out/ feed them in the morning at 6:30 to 7:00 in the morning, then a second time around 11:00 to 2pm depending on the day of the week, and then a third time around 7:00 pm. For overnight stays I’ll let your pup out for a potty break and breakfast at 6:30 to 7:00am before I have to leave for classes, during the time I’m away your pet will be in the crate or free roaming depending on your crate policy. I’ll return around 11am to 2pm and let your dog out the crate and walk them. I can also do general cleaning and maintenance around the house.

“Heather was absolutely amazing and took such great care of both my dogs and my home! She kept me updated throughout her stay, sent plenty of photos of the pups, and made sure I always knew how they were doing. I felt completely reassured and comfortable knowing they were in such good hands. She was responsible, caring, and attentive, and I couldn’t have asked for a better pet sitter. I would highly recommend Heather to anyone looking for someone they can trust with their pets and home!”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of August 2026, there are 3,516 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Henly. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Henly walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Henly maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Henly choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Henly. On Rover:
- 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
