About: Hello! My name is Jordan and I'm looking to pet sit for you and your loved ones. I've cared for puppies and elderly dogs, shy and outgoing dogs, and dogs of all breeds and needs. No matter the type of dog(s) you have, I look forward to befriending and caring for them! I make sure to listen to your dog’s body language to see what they are asking for. Their tails, eyes, and body is their way of communicating their needs, wants, and feelings. Alongside their body language, I'll also follow any directions and make sure they feel safe and content by replicating their usual schedule. I don't mind taking care of chores around the house, like watering your plants or checking the mail. I will also make sure to send lots of pictures, videos, and updates to keep your heart at ease. A little about me: I am a 25 year old digital artist and a graduate from Kennesaw State University. I lived in Georgia all of my life until I moved here in 2024 with my partner. I usually plan my days around my clients’ schedules, meaning I can take care of your pet at any time. The safety and comfort of your loved ones are a priority of mine, so I try to stick to their usual schedule. Whether that means feeding times that come early in the morning or in the middle of rush hour! I’ve got you and your furry friend’s back. I always prioritize safety and trust when it comes to animals. Animals are very sensitive to change, especially because we can’t communicate to them what’s going on (not yet, at least.) For that reason, I try to bring in a positive and calm attitude, letting your pet decide what they are comfortable with and making sure they know I’m not a threat. I do this by moving confidently, but not quickly. I don’t make loud noises and I make sure your pet knows where I am. It’s important to me that they don’t think I’m trying to sneak around and to make sure they feel included with whatever I’m doing around their own environment. I give them space and don’t try to force any affection from them. If they want pets, I trust they will ask for them!

About: **please make sure you are within my service area before sending a booking request** I am a professional interdisciplinary artist who has worked and volunteered in the animal welfare field for over 30 years. I’ve worked as a vet-tech and kennel tech in shelters, as well as smaller clinics and rescues in Massachusetts and Texas. I grew up in a household with multiple cats and dogs. I am an advocate for bully breeds, and have owned pit bulls and pit mixes through much of my adult life. I treat all cats, dogs, exotics and other animals with utmost care, love, compassion, and patience, regardless of size, breed, and behavior. I have a clean driving record and am fully insured. I appreciate you giving me an opportunity to care for your furry kiddos, and look forward to it. Because I work from home I have a lot of flexibility for pet care. During boardings I stay home so you needn’t worry about your pets being left unattended. I live on 10 acres in Wimberley. My property is fenced, but because some dogs won’t obey commands from those other than their family and might behave differently in a foreign environment I do not let them off leash. My home and porch are spacious so there is a lot of room to play. (I do have plans to securely fence in a dog area on the ranch, and will be sure to mention it when I do). If you choose to board your pet at my place I WILL stay home (which is fine since I work from home much of the time), so your dogs will never be left unattended. I’m very tidy and do not leave anything laying around that could be a potential hazard for your fur babies. I have 2 large dog beds which I wash between uses. I also have a variety of toys for dogs (which also get washed and sanitized), and keep a variety of healthy snacks and (rawhide-free) chews on hand, food and water bowls. I also have a variety of harnesses (currently only for medium and large breed dogs) leads, and dog seat belts, clip-on lights for night walks. If you prefer your pet be crated while here you will need to supply the crate. ** Photos of house and interior upon request.

While we were away, she gave us regular sweet updates and was very independent. When the dogs did unruly things (like my pyrenees pulling her into a nearby body of water for an unexpected swim), she stayed upbeat and had the situation totally handled before contacting us. We felt in very good hands. When we came back, our house looked great! Towels cleaned, bed stripped, floor swept, and even some veggies shared from her garden 🤗 We hope to book Jessica again for our next trip.”
