About: Hello! My name is Jordan and I'm looking to pet sit for you and your loved ones. I've cared for puppies and elderly dogs, shy and outgoing dogs, and dogs of all breeds and needs. No matter the type of dog(s) you have, I look forward to befriending and caring for them! I make sure to listen to your dog’s body language to see what they are asking for. For that reason, I try to bring in a positive and calm attitude, letting your pet decide what they are comfortable with and making sure they know I’m not a threat. I do this by moving confidently, but not quickly. I don’t make loud noises and I make sure your pet knows where I am. It’s important to me that they don’t think I’m trying to sneak around and to make sure they feel included with whatever I’m doing around their own environment. I give them space and don’t try to force any affection from them. If they want pets, I trust they will ask for them!

I’ve worked as a vet-tech and kennel tech in shelters, as well as smaller clinics and rescues in Massachusetts and Texas. I grew up in a household with multiple cats and dogs. I am an advocate for bully breeds, and have owned pit bulls and pit mixes through much of my adult life. I treat all cats, dogs, exotics and other animals with utmost care, love, compassion, and patience, regardless of size, breed, and behavior. I have a clean driving record and am fully insured. I appreciate you giving me an opportunity to care for your furry kiddos, and look forward to it. Because I work from home I have a lot of flexibility for pet care. During boardings I stay home so you needn’t worry about your pets being left unattended. I live on 10 acres in Wimberley. My property is fenced, but because some dogs won’t obey commands from those other than their family and might behave differently in a foreign environment I do not let them off leash. My home and porch are spacious so there is a lot of room to play. (I do have plans to securely fence in a dog area on the ranch, and will be sure to mention it when I do). If you choose to board your pet at my place I WILL stay home (which is fine since I work from home much of the time), so your dogs will never be left unattended. I’m very tidy and do not leave anything laying around that could be a potential hazard for your fur babies. I have 2 large dog beds which I wash between uses. I also have a variety of toys for dogs (which also get washed and sanitized), and keep a variety of healthy snacks and (rawhide-free) chews on hand, food and water bowls. I also have a variety of harnesses (currently only for medium and large breed dogs) leads, and dog seat belts, clip-on lights for night walks. She was very thorough in her prep and we had a video consult to go over all expectations, requests, questions, etc. She was detailed and asked questions I hadn’t even thought to cover. During the pet sitting, she kept me updated at all time and provided pictures to let me know the girls were doing okay. My 15 year old cat requires multiple medications that can sometimes be difficult to administer and she was able to administer with no issues. It was the first time I was leaving them in a while given that one of my cats went on subcutaneous fluids. I was ?very anxious about him potentially missing his night time dose so, despite the long commute, Monica came for the M&G and a second visit for extra practice with the injection. For the stay I was willing to work around her work schedule with a dog walker, but she was lovely enough to take most of the days off so that she could fully focus on the crew. About: I have had two dogs throughout my entire life. One of them is a younger German Shepherd, and the other one was a 15 year old Shi Tzu. I am able to walk dogs for as long as needed. I can play with and take care of dogs that have a lot of energy. I also can care for dogs who are sick and need to take medication, for I had to do this with my Shi Tzu for about a year before he passed. Although I have not yet pet-sitted professionally, I am very knowledgeable when it comes to caring for and loving all different types of animals, especially dogs! I am currently on summer break, so I am looking for some extra income before I start my next semester. That is to say, my schedule is extremely flexible! I can come in during early mornings, late nights, in the middle of the day, etc. I would prefer to go to the client’s home if the dog is a bit smaller. I have a large and friendly german shepherd who has loads of energy. I understand that this can sometimes overwhelm certain pets with certain personalities.
