About: Hi! I'm Janis—a nursing student with a love for animals! I’ve been caring for all kinds of animals since I was young—dogs, cats, guinea pigs, hamsters, fish—you name it! Over the years, I’ve worked with a wide range of dogs— from energetic puppies to senior dogs, as well as large breeds like Pit Bulls, Samoyeds, and Labradors. I am open to making exceptions for some large breeds depending on their behavior and after a meet-and-greet. I’ve also volunteered at an animal shelter, where I gained experience walking and handling anxious dogs. My experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant has given me strong familiarity with handling medications, special diets, and injury care. I’m highly attentive, detail-oriented, and comfortable following specific care instructions to ensure your pet’s safety and well-being. I’m very responsive and make sure pet parents always feel connected by sending frequent photo and video updates. I take time to understand each pet’s personality and bond with them through the activities they enjoy most. Since I am a nursing student, I have varying availability, but I am extremely transparent with pet owners about scheduling and try to update my calendar regularly. I would perform pet care after my classes and on weekends. During walks, I try to avoid streets with a lot of traffic to help pets feel secure, especially in new environments. I always pay close attention to their behavior and surroundings. For drop-ins, I will always ask questions beforehand to ensure I fully understand you pets needs and can give them the best care.

About: I’ve taken care of all kinds of dogs (and other animals!) for many years. Family, friends, and co-workers have relied on me to watch and care for their pets whether it’s walking, feeding, playing, even taking them to the vet. I’ve taken care of dogs of all sizes and ages, from senior bull mastiffs to pugs under a year old. There is no dog too big or too small because they’re all perfect to me. I’ve also found lost dogs and helped them return to their owners! I have experience caring for anxious dogs, blind dogs, deaf dogs, dogs with mobility issues, and dogs that require medication. Other animals I’ve taken care of include: cats, parrots, guinea pigs, fish, rabbits, and hamsters. Pets are so precious, they’re such an important source of joy in their family’s lives so it’s such a privilege to be trusted with their care!! :) Pet sitting is currently my full time job, so I have lots of time to give your animals the special care and attention they deserve! I have a fenced in yard which is perfect for dogs to run around in. I also have a car so I’m able to take dogs to the dog park or dog beaches nearby (if that’s something they would enjoy). At a client’s house I still follow any guidance/schedule given to me. In between I typically take the dog’s lead. I’m at their house so it’s important to me that I respect their space (and the clients above all)! I like to take their cues to make sure that their sense of routine isn’t disrupted.

About: I've had ample experience pet sitting for friends, family, and neighbors. My experience includes working as a vet assistant at a clinic for cats. I also have experience giving medication to pets (one of my own cats requires daily shots). I am in school part time, so I have lots of availability. I can watch your pets overnight on weekends, and at flexible times during the week. I am not able to board any animals at my home, but I can and will make sure that your home environment is a safe and loving place while your pets are in my care.

About: My background in canine care began at the Little Shelter Animal Adoption Center in Huntington, NY in 2008. I was employed there for several years as a dog walker and socializer, working with a wide variety of dogs and puppies from many different walks of life. All of the dogs were rescues, and so special care needed to be provided, with exercise, playtime, feeding, and even medication distribution. After working at the shelter, I found myself at a few local grooming parlors, working as a bather. As you've probably experienced, most dogs do not love being bathed and groomed, and so I would try my very best to make them comfortable in the unfamiliar situation they were in, taking the time to check in on them frequently and give them lots of reassurance and loving. Patience goes a long way! In January of 2015 I had my first two-month long house and pet sitting job. However, since then I've been working a full time office job and have been unable to enjoy much time with canine companions. I will regularly pet sit for close friends and family, but I'm ready to spend more time around furry friends! I'd love to meet you and your pup and ensure that they're properly taken care of and loved while you're out on the weekend, working, or away on vacation! I'm currently working part-time, with a very flexible schedule, so there's a good chance I'll be able to accommodate your scheduling needs! Reach out to me with any questions. About: I’ve previously worked for another pet service where I took dogs on walks and did drop-in visits. I also have some experience with cats, but I have a 5-year old dog myself. I have experience taking care of elderly dogs as I dog sat for a family friend for a few months and stayed the night at their house once a week. I would take the dog for walks, spend time with him and give him any medication he needed. I love animals and it doesn’t feel like work to take care of them for me. I am a teacher, so I am free during school breaks and on weekends. When I am not working full-time at school, pet care will be my first priority. I will listen to any requests made by the pet owner for what they want me to do, such as letting them out in a fenced backyard or keeping them on a leash. I also have experience crate training my dog and find that can be a safe place for dogs too.

About: I have grown up with different dogs my entire life. My best friend was a Rottweiler named Sampson and I had him from a pup. I create trained him as well as click trained him to become a good citizen. I have experience with large breeds as well as small. I have cared my many fur babies in this own homes, keeping them happy with conversation, brushing, play time and long walks. I feel that all breeds deserve love regardless of the negativity they may get from others who don't understand the breed. I have owned pitbulls and have found them to be loyal and loving and don't judge any animal. I have experience training my own dogs as well as freinds and family. I'm currently working PT as a home health aid and have flexibility and free time Tuesday through Saturday to walk and hangout with your beloved fur baby. I would come to your home and watch your dog, take them for a walk, snuggle, feed, play, brush and engage them with conversation and provide them love and support.

About: All my life I have taken care of animals big and small. Special care or simple care they will be loved and safe with me. I work a hybrid job, from home Monday and Friday office tues-Thurs. all fur babies baby will love the attention and affection they will get. In my home they will have a safe room to sleep or stay in if they want quiet or they can mingle around the house. In your home I would follow your instructions as to where they are allowed to be. At my home our yard is only fenced on 3 sides while it is a large space they would be on a lead at all times.

About: Hi, I’m Sydney and I have experience caring for dogs of different ages, sizes, and temperaments. During college, I spent my time at my local animal shelter, where I walked various dogs (shy, energetic, anxious, outgoing, and senior dogs). I am very active, so whether your dog loves long walks, playing with toys, cuddles, or all the above, I will provide what they need. I am available Saturday’s and Sundays to step in while you are at work or out of the house! I also have availability AFTER 5 PM during the week 😊 I respond quickly and do my best to accommodate scheduling needs! I prefer to meet pets before hand so you and you both feel comfortable with me. I provide clear communication, regular updates/photos of your pet while they are in my care.

About: Your dog will become part of our family while staying in our home. Playing in our large fenced yard, snuggles on the sofa, trips to the beach or local Avalon Park trails for long walks! When your dog comes to my house, he/she will become part of our family during their stay. I will follow your instructions, schedule, and routine for your dog while they are with us. Your dog will receive lots of exercise, attention and love. My husband and I are both home full time so your dog will never be alone for more than a couple hours. I have a huge fenced yard for playing. We are located in the beautiful Historic Village of Stony Brook and love walking the dogs to the beach and also Avalon Park trails. We do have an indoor/outdoor cat so your dog must be able to coexist with the cat but they can easily be kept separate. I have many excellent references to share with you, including clients from the Guide Dog Foundation and rescue organizations that I have fostered for. You can set up a free meet and greet at my house. I look forward to meeting you and your dog! I am home full time so your pup will have constant attention! Your pup will have lots of exercise, play time and of course lots of snuggles. I have a fenced yard and supervise your pup at all times. I have plenty of time to play with and care for your pup! If I am not home, my husband or one of my teenage sons will be home so your dog will rarely be left alone. I have a large fenced yard for playing and we will walk in our beautiful neighborhood if that’s part of your dog’s routine. Your dog will be supervised at all times and will have lots of attention!
